Clutterboy

Recently contracted Clutterboy to help with a garage and backyard cleanout. Tom and his team did a great job and made years of clutter go away in a matter of hours. I worked with Tom years ago and he is just as good, if not better, than I remember. He also provides lots of good referrals to other service providers (personal organizers, etc.). Way to go Clutterboy. Will be calling you again I am sure.

Tom, the Clutter Boy himself, was the absolute best for the job. I am a real estate agent and needed everything out of a house and FAST. I called him and gave him my short timeline and he greeted me with calmness and happiness. I was assured that my job would happen on schedule. What really impressed me and put me at ease was that, if you want him to, he will decide what can be repurposed or donated and what should be tossed or recycled. Because of this I knew NOTHING would go to waste, and I did not have to make a run to the dump either. On top of all of this, Tom is a wonderful guy. He brings smiles, respect, and positive energy and gets the job DONE. He also makes sure to check with you if the item seems sentimental. Give him a call or text! You won’t regret it.

I honestly don’t know what I would have dome without clutterboys. My mom passed away after living in the same home for 50 years. my Brothers and I just couldn’t get her house in order and… we just were overwhelmed had zero focus and we had a deadline. Tom help us get through mountains of old magazines and precious antiques. Thank you so much Tom!

Tom and Daniel are the best! With our home purchase we received quite a lot of unwanted free gifts in the form of a full shed and garage attic. Lots of old stuff around the shed too. Tom and Daniel packed and cleaned everything in a couple of hours, took care of hazardous waste like paint and stale gasoline. They swept up the shed, too. After all it looked like no trash ever was there!

Clutterboy is fantastic. We have used Tom time and time again. Not only does he help clear the clutter, he finds ways of re-​purposing items for those in need versus items being destined for landfill.

Tom aka Clutterboy is the most amazing man! Tom has helped us numerous times with sorting/​donating/​getting rid of stuff in the garage and in our home. Tom is hard working, super nice and very fast; he is also patient, kind, and understanding of how we want to hold onto clutter! Tom helps with reorganizing spaces and he is nothing short of a miracle worker when it comes to getting rid of paper! Tom helps with small jobs (himself) or large jobs (when he brings an assistant); no job is too small or too big. Tom is also very encouraging on moving forward and making things happen. Tom’s mantra is that we will feel much better when we get rid of stuff, and he’s absolutely right… after Tom leaves we feel lighter, successful and more free. It’s amazing how our stuff, no matter how much we love it, becomes a burden. With great good humor, Tom helps us let go. I used Clutterboy to help move my 90 year-​old parents from the home they’d lived in for 50 years. They were miserable, I was stressed, and Tom got us through an incredibly difficult situation. I cannot say enough about how kind, patient and calm he was, from helping us decide what to recycle and getting donations to places that would really use them to hanging pictures in the new place and talking us down when we thought we weren’t going to meet deadlines. His crew was lovely and Tom kept me from losing my mind. I would highly recommend him if you or loved ones are moving. I don’t know how we would have survived without him.

I love Clutterboy! Tom — aka Clutterboy — not only helped my rid my house of truck loads of unnecessary items but also (somehow) made it fun — and affordable! Working side by side with Tom, I was able to sort through a garage full of *stuff* in a methodical manner, keeping only the items that felt necessary. Non-​judgmental and truly gifted at decluttering (and also superhumanly strong), Tom moved, sorted, lifted, cleaned and even brought in a storage shelf for the remaining items. At the end of each day, he hauled away the junk and donations. He also advised on storage tools to help create a long-​term organizational system. Tom is also just a really great person — a devoted and proud father, a fascinating conversationalist and a big guy with an even bigger heart. Our three days together cleaning out my house were one part decluttering, another part therapy. By the time he left, I had a totally organized garage, kitchen, laundry room and mud room and I also felt like I had a new friend. I can’t recommend him enough. Once he visits your house, you will wonder why you didn’t call him sooner.

After 20 years of putting stuff in the basement «to deal with later,» we were starting to get lost down there. Enter Clutterboy, my new favorite superhero. He emptied the contents of the basement into the driveway, including the shelving units. As the basement was emptied, we sorted the items into piles to donate (huge), keep (moderate) and trash (tiny). He washed the shelves, swept the basement, and then put items from the «keep» pile back in the basement in an organized fashion.
He did the ENTIRE job with a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. He’s relentlessly positive (in a good way), hires awesome & tireless assistants (and treats them well), and offers no judgment on your stuff or your decisions. He even found some kids’ artwork that accidentally made it into the «donate» pile. It was amazing how much he and his team were able to get done in a short period of time, and his initial time estimate was spot on.
Worth it, definitely.

Tom gets things DONE! Makes clutter disappear, organizes what’s left, and does so with cheerful professionalism. My home office and garage were functional again in less than an afternoon. He was great to work with, understood my clutter anxiety, and showed the highest respect for even my «junkiest» junk.

I moved from Palo Alto to Redwood City. I needed to downsize. I found Tom through a friend who is a member of Avenidas Village at the Palo Alto senior center. He offers a discount rate for seniors. He came for a free consultation and described his services for me. Before I actually hired him to do some work, I consulted him via email and phone, asking about some of the topics that we had discussed. Several days after our initial interaction, he called to check up on my progress. Ultimately, I hired him to clean out what was left in my garage after my garage sale. This included shelf units, books, old cassette tapes, miscellaneous kitchen stuff, etc. He and his strong young assistant did a great job of getting rid of the stuff and sweeping out the garage. I’m sure it looked better when he was finished than it did when I moved in. Bottom line, I recommend Clutterboy for any downsizing, decluttering task. He understands your issues and is very calming, reassuring, and positive.

Tom is amazing! He came to my apartment and cleaned out all of my junk! He even took it to the dump for me. He was super speedy, fun to talk to you, and very reasonable in price. He even swept up the dirt and everything that ended up being kicked around from cleaning up the stuff. I would def recommend Clutteryboy for any job!
