We DO NOT work on automobile locks and keys.

History

Established in 2002.

Owner, Jon Rickard has been a licensed locksmith since 2001. Aloha Locksmith was established in Oxnard, CA in 2002. His wife Micki joined the family business in 2012 as sales and marketing specialist.

Jon was born and raised in Hononlulu, Hawaii. Graduated from Kamehameha Schools and University of Hawaii. He has lived in California since 1988 with his wife Micki and 2 cats. They moved to Oxnard, CA in 2002 to establish Aloha Locksmith. Micki’s family has owned a family farm in Oxnard since 1967.

I was having a challenge with one of my locks at home and I contacted John to set up a time for him to repair the lock. He was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and he advised me to take some very simple steps to alleviate it. I did as he suggested, and the problem was resolved instantly! He saved me time and money, and helped keep my home’s security intact. Can’t ask for more than that, can you?

John is the best! He came out right on time for our appointment and changed all my locks for a very reasonable price. We talked about our love of Hawaii and that was a plus! I had an issue with one of my sliding glass doors and he ordered the part and came out and fixed it. I will recommend him to everyone (I’ve already given his name to our relocation lady where I work). He has such a nice demeanor and wonderful smile.

My contact with Jon was by phone. We discussed my lock which was no longer working. He did troubleshooting over the phone and we scheduled a time. A short time later I received a text from Jon informing me of the inexpensive part I could purchase on Amazon. He asked if I wanted to attempt the repair myself. I said I would but would call him if I failed. He said fine. I really appreciate the extra effort put forth by Jon to not only help but keep the cost low.
Follow up. I could not make repair. Called Jon and made an appointment for the next day. Jon arrived promptly on time. And proceeded to repair my lock in less than 15 minutes. He charged what he quoted. I’ll use him again for my lock problems in the future.

On 3÷2÷16 I Had a Lock out for an eviction I had gotten a default in. On 3⁄1 I called Aloha Locksmith, and got to Chuck, He was super accomadting and moved around his schedule to help me out the next day. His prices were very reasonable, so I didnt have to search anywhere else!
He came and was on time, and was very patient. The best part was he stayed true to his prices he gave me, and was Funny to top it off. Normally you pay extra for a funny locksmith. I can see why he has 5 stars now.

I called Aloha Locksmith to re-​key our new home in Oxnard. The first time Jon arrived, he very nicely informed me about the difference between a Kwik-​set and Schlage door mechanisms. I had the wrong type so he came back the following day after I had a chance to get the right ones from the home improvement store. He re-​keyed a total of 6 door/​locks and I was very happy with the price, as we previously paid much for for the same service by a company in Ventura. The only reason, I am giving a 4-​star review is because I asked him to stall a specific door knob that I guess didn’t fit properly on that particular door. Rather than tell me it didn’t fit right, he installed it anyway. A week later, I ended up spending an hour switching the knob with another door knob because of the poor fit. Despite that, I still recommend Aloha Locksmith.

Jon is wonderful. He came and did an eviction lock out for me in February 2015. Very warm, caring, and went the extra mile to send me a website to find and replace antique door knobs for me. Just last week my boss wanted locks changed at our office. Called Jon and he came right out. They have the Aloha spirit for sure!

I called and got a live, pleasant person. John came out the same day and fixed my problem. Until today, I always dreaded calling a locksmith; they do not keep their appointments and/​or fix the problem in a timely manner, but charge more than they should. Today, John came and left before I could pay him. He wasn’t all about the money. He was all about service and keeping clients for the future. Very impressive!!! I now have a new locksmith. I read the Unilocal reviews and decided to give Aloha Locksmith a try. I had left a message today and got a phone call back right away from Jon.
He told me he could get to my house between 2:00 — 2:30pm. To my surprise he arrived before 2pm. One of my girls decided to hang on the patio door handle like a little monkey and she might have popped the spring on the side button part of the door. So our door got jammed and could not be opened.
Jon came to the rescue and did a great job! He was very nice and his prices were resonable too. We highly recommend Aloha Locksmith. If we have another issue in the near future with a lock situation we will definietly call Jon again!
