Fun Food Truck

This is a great truck with great food. My friends and I tried their loaded fries, carne asada tacos, and chicken tacos. Everything tasted delicious.

Came when the menu incorporated 4 Sons Brewery beer and the tacos were BOMB. Carne asada was a personal favorite with the slightly spicy after taste being a nice surprise. Additionally the loaded fries were to die for. Would definitely come back whether I was drunk or sober. Be sure to come to the Fun Food Truck hungry!

We were at Timeless Pints last night and picked up some items from the Fun Food Truck. We were really hungry and the food went well with the beer, but it was still a bit disappointing. Had the pastrami, it said it was served on rye, but it came on white bread which I would never have and the pastrami itself was ok. Then got the pork sliders which were decent kind of like a pork burger. Fries were fine, nachos were ok, a little skimpy with the cheese and jalapeños though. Our friends had the cheese steak which they hardly ate at all. It looked like it was served on a tortilla which seemed odd. The guys were friendly and the service was good, but next time I’d pick a different truck.

I went to check these guys out a couple weeks ago at the beach city brewery and another time at the Santa Ana music festival. Their food was delicious. They always have something different in stock and their prices are unbelievable. They had the BEST french fries I’ve ever tried and their pulled pork was delicious too.

Just thinking about the deliciousness I devoured from this awesome food truck is making me hungry again. But before I start drooling all over my keyboard, I must write this review! I was at the Art Walk in Downtown Santa Ana wandering around checking everything out and working up an appetite. My friend and I went to check out this food truck because it was near the live music. Everything on the menu sounded yummy, but we decided on the grouper tacos, which were out of this world. Such a great amount of fresh food for the price! I have never tasted grouper before, which is a fish in the same family as sea basses found around Florida. I absolutely love trying new things, so I was happy that this food truck could offer me an experience to taste something new! After we were done grubbing on those grouper tacos, Tai even got out of the truck to talk to us, ask us our opinions on the tacos and such, tell us more about the food truck, and even let us sample the pork skewers! They were an explosion of flavor in my mouth. Fun Food Truck– Dishing out amazing food AND amazing service. If you ever see this food truck around, check it out!

Last night I visited these guys at Beach City Brewery. Let me tell you… these guys know what they’re doing! You can’t beat the price. I couldn’t decide between the ribs or the turkey chili so I ended up getting both and it was well worth it. The ribs were incredibly tender and the made from scratch bbq sauce was heavenly. The chili was so unique, almost sweet, in the best way. Even the fries to go with it surpassed my expectations.
I had a few minutes to speak with the owners which made me like this place even more. Their excellent service and passion for delivering quality food for a great price is refreshing. I will definitely be back. A+ Well done guys!

Awesome truck. Had them tonight at Beach City Brewery and loved it. Classic idea of pairing the food menu with the Beer list. Had the Chili and chicken and borh went perfect with my Pumpkin Spice brew!!!

Went with some coworkers one night to the Beach City Brewery and that’s where we saw the Fun Food Truck. There was a line forming already, but it moved pretty quick. My coworkers and I ordered the Mutual Destruction (fries with meatball, bacon etc) and the Steak Eggroll to share. The food was the perfect complement with the beer! The food came out fast and my coworkers and I enjoyed them with our cold beers.

I stumbled upon this food truck after visit the Art Walk in Santa Ana around 10PM. I was hungry so I checked out the menu. Glancing over it, within a minute, the owner food truck Trung (or Troung?), comes out next to me for help. He asks me what I am interested in and I replied asking him for suggestions. The first item, he tells me, is the most popular one, called Mutual Destruction. That was the one I was looking at in the first place and it looked good to me so I ordered it. While it was being prepared, Trung asked me where I was from and what I was doing around here. Told him where and that I was checking out the Art Walk with a friend. He tells me he is from Santa Ana and that he is running the truck with his friend Thai or Tai. He hands me the food, and it is piping hot, just the way I like it. The smell was great. Hot fries, meatballs, onions, and bacon. It was a lot of food too, felt heavy in my hands. All for seven bucks. What a deal. He also hands me ketchup and I ask for hot sauce and jalapenos. Stabbing my fork into the food, I was able to get some fries, cheese, bit of purple onion and a chunk of meatball. My second stab was for the jalapeño. Heavenly. I rarely get to eat out, and when I do it is boring Irvine food. So that was a nice change of pace. I believe this is the second of third time I have ordered from a food truck and by far this was the best tasting and the most memorable. The atmosphere of Santa Ana night life and the Artwalk contributed. He hands me a Fun Food Truck business card and asks me to tell my friends. I said that I will. I told one of my roommates.
I have been procrastinating on writing this review, as I ordered from these guys a couple of weeks ago. The food was delicious and plentiful, the owners are friendly and helpful. Trung and Tai, I hope you guys the best. Take care and thanks for the food.

Meatballs never tasted soooo freaking good! I got the Tin Tin which are skewers of bacon wrapped meatballs, pineapple and jalapeños. Yummmmmm! Try the Fold too! I don’t know what bread they use but it’s honestly addicting! Will be a regular for sure!!!
