Dr Yoon did a very detailed exam very different from other optometrist my spouse has gone to. Before examining his eyes he took a look at his current glasses and even said looks like you have a stigmatism in one eye, which was correct! Will definitely come back for next exam

Came for my annual check up. Getting new glasses. Wide selection of frames in many different price ranges. Let them know your budget and they will try to accommodate you. Very pleased with Dr. Yoon’s practice and staff. Very respectable and informative. Appointment for the kids soon. Excited to bring them in and get them checked.

Great Dr. He takes his time with you explaining every test he is doing and what it means.
He really makes you feel like a valuable patient. I cannot ask for better optometrist. We will be customers for years to come.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yoon for about a month. So far, it has been great. The staff is really friendly and prompt. The hours are decent. Dr. Yoon is very knowledgeable and approachable. I am Asian so I can say this… his English is awesome! They took care of my insurance with relative ease. The office is not modern or fancy like some others but who cares as long as I get the proper care.

Dr. Yoon was fantastically knowledgeable and expedious. He was spot on with my prescription and even showed me an impressive close up of my eye. In an out within an hour due to a high volume patients, but a great experience all around.
His reception staff was very helpful.

Dr. Yoon is the best optometrist I have ever been to! I was raised on Kaiser insurance, so I always saw Kasier doctors, and went to Kaiser offices. While I still have Kaiser for multiple insurance reasons, I recently enrolled during open enrollment through my work to VSP.
So the first thing I did when looking for a doctor was location. Trump says it all the time. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! He’s very close to me, less than .5 mile. AUTOMATIC STAR!
The initial visit… SU-​FREAKING-​PURB! I did not know how thorough a eye exam was suppose to be until Dr. Yoon checked my eyes. Talk about detailed exam!
First he took my old, 5 year old haggard ass OSHA approved and put them in this device and told me exactly what was wrong with my eyes, and how we can fix it. He also said my left lens on my current glasses is «underpowered». I like that term, underpowered. Like an optical on a rifle. Carrying on, we went through my exam and fixed what needed to be fixed. I also inquired about lasik in which he replied «You are the perfect candidate»
I decided to go with contacts and see if I like them but ultimately he said Lasik will be your best option.
Overall, like I previously stated, this was the best, most thorough eye exam I have ever been to. Dr. Yoon is friendly, informative, welcoming and wants to get you seeing straight. My wife also enjoyed her visit to him as well, and she’s a harsh critic!

Dr. Yoon is awesome. Unlike some other doctors, Dr. Yoon actually takes the time to explain what is happening to your eyeballs. He is also pretty funny.
His front desk/​staff are all very nice and helpful too.

Sooooooo I wore my last pair of contacts for like… a month before FINALLY getting my butt to the optometrist to renew my prescription. I know, shame on me. Super gross.
My dad recommended this optometrist to me so I made an appointment. The office was easy to find, close to freeway exit on the 55, and parking was easy in the lot. When I arrived I was greeted by a super friendly and helpful front desk staff.
The appointment went smoothly and Dr. Yoon has great bedside manner! He explained to me his findings after completing the vision tests instead of just telling me «You are fine». He took snapshots of my eye on the computer screen so I could see what he sees, which was really helpful. I now know my left eye has a small birth defect within the lens, which does not impair my vision at all but is just cool to know :) Throughout my years, no optometrist or even ophthalmologist has ever mentioned it, I guess because it is not crucial information regarding my vision, but Dr. Yoon took the time to let me know as an aside just so I can know my own eyes better. He also made recommendations personalized to my lifestyle. For example, he explained to me that my vision had gotten a step worse in both eyes over the years, but I can choose to stay at my current prescription if I am one that is always on the computer or staring at screens. I’m super glad he asked me what I prefer before just prescribing me the stronger lenses. On that note, I usually buy my contact lenses on 1800contact because I always assumed the optometrist office would be the most expensive but I was SO SURPRISED to find out how cheap my lenses could be! The best thing is if I decide to switch my prescription to the higher prescription after a few months, I can just exchange the remaining boxes of lenses! Win!
If you want one on one time with the doctor to get a thorough assessment of the health of your eyeballs, this is the place.

Dr. Yoon is a terrific eye doctor and a contact lens specialist. We were referred to him by the doctors of a university hospital. My teenage daughter has had very difficult problems with her eyesight due to complications of eye surgery that failed. Dr. Yoon figured out a viable contact lens solution that improves her eyesight and fits comfortably. He’s knowledgeable and will work with you. I very highly recommend him.

recently came across this place because it was so close to home.
must admit the ONLY reason im going there is because of Georgia.
She is really the ONLY staff that is friendly and helpful.
A couple of the younger girls in the front are not polite and seem irritated when asked a question,
Dr Yoon doesnt give that personable touch to his client which is a shame.
either way after this time. i’m not sure if i will go back there again.

Went for my yearly check up the other day, Didn’t have to wait at all, it was 11am on Saturday… Dr Yoon inspected my eyes, and prescribed me a prescription eye drop antibiotic for the scratches I had on my eye. I decided to go with the hard contacts again, due to my stigmatisma and he gave me a soft pair to go home in, as well as a few more soft pair to use in the event that I want to do water activities or it’s very windy outside. Who else does that? Noone, he is the most considerate and attentive person in the eye business. I’m never dissapointed when I come here and it’s always worth the drive.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yoons since he was hired on by Dr. Gordon so many years ago. Dr. Yoon is very attentive and patient. He answers all my questions and takes his time with the exam. When I or one of my family has had an urgent need for an appointment due to injury (as often happens with kids!) or illness, his staff has made accommodations for us to be seen the same day. He will readily give you OTC samples so you know if the drops work before you spend your money. When I needed laser eye surgery, I asked Dr. Yoon who did his surgery and went with his doctor, Dr. Tooma. I am very satisfied with the results of my laser surgery. The staff at Dr. Yoons is very friendly and I have never had a problem with his staff. The staff has been there quite a while and they know you and work with you. My whole family goes to Dr. Yoon and we drive in from Corona to see him.

After countless years of going to different eye centers and clinics I had given up hope to ever seeing out of my right eye. I have been diagnosed with an eye disease called Keratoconus and since my late 20’s have only had good vision in one eye. Dr. Yoon’s office is very nice and he has a great staff. After several visits for lens fittings Dr. Yoon fitted me with the right lenses and I now have ²⁰⁄₃₀ in both eyes.
I will be honest and say that it was not cheap, total cost was around $ 500.00 out of pocket, but it’s so worth it, my quality of life has improved dramatically. THANK YOU DR. YOON!!!

Dr. Yoon is The Best !! I have been going to him for about 3 years and was recommended by a friend. He is Very patient and easy to talk to. He is happy to explain things and Makes it easy to make informed choices.
This Office Does NOT push you to buy ANy thing. They are sweet girls at the front desk and efficient. They even have some forty dollar frames that were decent.

Have been going to this optometrist for a couple years now. Love Dr. Yoon and his staff! Always professional, timely, helpful and friendly!

About 4 days before I was to go on vacation for a week, I started having extremely blurry and double vision, so I looked up Optometrists in the Orange area on Unilocal.Dr. Frank Yoon was very highly recommended and he was right down the street from me which was perfect. So I called and made an appointment for 2 days before my trip.
Dr. Yoon was extremely knowledgeable and explained the entire process to me. He also, in detail, explained what was wrong with my eyes, how to treat them, and then how to prevent it from occurring again in the future. He told me to come in again after my vacation to check on the healing of my eyes and to get my new prescription. I paid my bill because my insurance didn’t cover it and set my appointment for my return visit. I was very impressed and thought I had found my new optometrist for years to come.
2^nd Visit:
After my vacation I returned to Dr. Yoon’s office for my eye health check-​up and again, the Doctor was extremely helpful and praised me for my eyes becoming better. He also fitted me for contacts and gave me a new prescription.
Everything was going great except when I returned to the counter to get my prescription, I was told I would have to pay again. I was completely surprised by this as I have had similar check-​ups with Dr. Cullinane in Lake Forest and have never been billed twice for an eye-​checkup and a prescription I didnt really ask for. All in all, I paid $ 145 for about 45 minutes of actual work on my eyes.
I think the problem was that there was a communication breakdown between myself and the front desk, however it shouldnt be the patient’s responsibility to know what’s going on, especially when they basically force you to come back for another fee-​based appointment. My eyes were doing great after the first appointment and if I knew I was going to have to pay again, I probably wouldnt have gone back in because my prescription was still valid and I didn’t have insurance to cover the next visit, which they knew.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed the Doctor and his expertise about my eyes, however the lackadaisical attitude by the front desk staff and not being clear about my charges is unacceptable in my opinion. When I expressed to the front desk lady that I wasn’t told about the 2^nd fee, her response was: «I’m sorry you weren’t aware of the charge», which made me feel like she thought it was my fault.
Will I return to Dr. Yoon for my next eye appt? Probably not. Would I recommend Dr. Yoon to new patients? Yes I would, but make sure you are clear with them about what you’re there for and ask beforehand about what you will be charged.

Dr. Yoon was referred to me from a friend. I hadn’t gone to get my eyes check in years, but he was friendly as was his staff. He gave me a very thorough exam. More thorough than I ever remember getting. In the midst of checking my eyes he looked at one he noticed something was amiss… not visible to me or anyone else… turns out I had undiagnosed hyper tension (high blood pressure) that was causing a little hemmoraging in my eye. He quickly took my blood pressure and made me promise to see my primary care physician for a follow-​up. Service you don’t get with the mall optomotrists. I highly recommend him. Dr. Yoon and his staff are great! And my new pair of glasses… look great, too.

Didn’t have Dr. Yoon do my exam, but DID go to his office to get frames for my new prescription.
Do not recall the name of the lady who helped me, but his whole staff was friendly, helpful AND patient — cuz i look like a dork in most frames and take forever to find the ‘least dorky looking’ frames.
They worked seamlessly with my insurance company and offered many different types of looks. I actually found about 5 frames i liked. Problem was, narrowing it down further to what i’m wearing now (which need new lenses — yet i’m still driving in public without a dog — one bark for «right turn, clyde», two for «go left you ignorant human», etc.)
Would recommend Dr. Yoons office to anyone.

A great eye doctor. My whole family has been seeing this optometrist for over 17 years. He’s really good with children, patient, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. He is also affiliated with TLC lasik eye centers, so if your thinking about looking into lasik eye surgery he’s a good resource. He had the surgery about 10 years ago. I would recommend his services to anyone.
