Alex showed me and my boyfriend nothing but respect and pure kindness. This is something we didn’t expect because of our preconceived notions about mechanics but I was shown the best service I have ever had. I only want to go to them from now on. Alex and his boys at Fix N Smog are the most helpful courteous mechanics in town. Always up front and honest about your auto issues and straight up about your cost with no hidden fees. Most reasonable low cost fees in town. You can come in with an appt or without but no matter what they will do your job promptly, courteously and correctly. If you have questions, they have the answers. I have had my car in their shop numerous times since November due to needing some tlc and every time I am greeted with a smile and a hug. These guys will not only become your favorite mechanics, they will become family. If you don’t believe me… check their shop out out yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

I highly recommend this place. I brought my car in for the first time here for an oil change and other concerns I had. I had already received an estimate from another shop. I felt the price was too high, so I tried Fix n smog. The price Alex gave me was very reasonable compared to the other shop. He was very honest and helped me understand what my car needed, and gave me the lowest possible price. They did a great job on my car. I’m definitely going to continue coming here and recommend them to my friends and family.

I don’t usually write reviews (mainly because I’m lazy when it comes to it) but I felt I had to write one for this place. Alex and his team took really good care of me and my car and went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was taken care of. My car had several issues and instead of getting me for every penny they got me the lowest price possible and got it done really quickly as well. I highly recommend this place and I will for sure be coming back and telling all my friends to come here for any car troubles. Thanks again Alex and everyone!

I brought my car in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. I knew that I needed a brake inspection and service, so I requested the mechanic to conduct that inspection. I brought with me my coupons, but to my surprise, the mechanic had quoted me the coupon price even without seeing my coupons. That was the 1^st great response. I received a phone call about an hour later informing me of the brake inspection and other recommended services and Alex and his team gave me a great price on multiple services (timing belt, 120K tune-​up, front/​rear brakes, etc.). Since I was not in a rush, I left my car with them all day and went to work. The team here are professional and truly honor there work. At other shops, when mechanics see women, sometimes you feel you are going to be taken advantage of and I felt very trusting of the mechanics and their workmanship. Very happy customer and will return for future business. The owner is a honest guy dedicated to providing a great service to members of the community. You have to appreciate good business men like this because they are a dying breed:)

Once again got great service from Alex today, he made suggestions to save me money instead of trying to get me on parts and labor he advised me to get the part and he would install it and when another issue was found he took care of it no problem and got me in and out of there in record time! I told him I didn’t have the time to drop the car off and he bumped me up in line and got me out of there in about 35 minute’s! Every one needs to have a mechanic they can trust to take care of them, give them honest answers, do perfect work and get their car back on the road as quickly and as inexpensively as possible. Do yourself a favor if your car needs repairs go see Alex! I can’t say enough about this shop so please take your car there the next time you need it repaired.

Got my AC refilled and tires changed before we moved. Recommended us what to do before our long drive to Texas. Alex is really nice and got us a good deal on the tires. went out of his way to get our car done fast. Most importantly he is HONEST. Definitely recommend this place.

Very prompt service! Came in without an appointment and they said it would only be a 15 minute wait. I think it was even quicker than that! :-)
Just a note. If you’re going north on Tustin Avenue, turn left on Palm then come in from the back, especially if southbound traffic is heavy. Kinda tough to turn left.
And just a side note ladies — they have current US Magazines to read :-)

Can you give negative stars? I made a Unilocal account to actually give a review on THIS business. I went for a smog check today thinking I’d be in and out. Well I was — BUT — when I had arrived there was a man in his 80’s who was clearly upset about the current situation. Whatever the situation was — it is irrelevant because I don’t know the whole story. The owner of the business was telling the man he still owed money when the man clearly had a receipt that he had paid last time he was there. This is where I got upset. With myself and the older gentleman both having our cars in the garage — the owner starts to YELL and NAME CALL the 80 year old man. Saying «he doesn’t work for free» and he is an «old dirty man» who needs to leave the property. I grew up in the auto body business. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNEXCEPTABLE. The older gentleman became extremely upset and shaky and got in his car to leave. He explained to me from his drivers seat that the owner is a scam artist and he’s been there multiple times to fix things when they haven’t done anything and still made him pay. Whatever the miscommunication was — I don’t know the full truth — BUT YOU DON’T EVER SPEAK TO AN ELDERLY MAN THAT WAY — AND YOU DONT EVER SPEAK TO ANYONE THAT WAY — LET ALONE A CUSTOMER. I was so thrown off and disgusted by the whole situation. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND BEG OTHERS TO NOT GO EITHER. PLEASE SUPPORT LOVELY BUSINESSES — THIS SHOP IS RUN BY A VERY NASTY MAN.

I get my Honda check at this shop, I only trust these guys for their honesty, they really know what their doing. The young guy who owns this shop is really attentive with his customers he has personally done the oil change, as well as the breaks, and Smog check, whenever I’m in a hurry, this place always gets the work done. I recommend to call ahead of time, but if you have emergency they will take care of you right away. Since lately we’ve had really hot humid summer days, I notice the air conditioning in my car was not working well (air was not cool enough) I was desperate and took the car to have it check at an auto shop in Lake Forest those guys want to charge an arm and leg. I called Fix and Go and in matter of less then 1hour the Manager or owner had check the car and had fixed, he told me he would not charge because it was something minor. I was impress he didn’t want to charge me, I was really please with how fast they work and their honesty. I highly recommend this guys they sure know what their doing!!!

Great price for smog! In and out in less then ½ hour. Don’t let the run down appearance deter you. Nothing but compliments from existing customers in the waiting room. I heard honest over and over.

I always take my BMW to the dealership, but while driving to work my service brake light came on, I wanted to take my vehicle somewhere around my work place, I called and spoke with Alex, he got me in early enough to get back to work on time and I didn’t even have an appointment !! I really like this place, I appreciate the way I’ve been treated. The staff has great customer service, office is always clean and super friendly environment. Alex was kind enough to drive me back to work! He took the time to explain what was wrong with my vehicle and what needed to be done all within the same morning!!! BEST rates in Orange & surrounding areas! I finally found a place I trust!

Alex Mayer, the owner of Fix n Smog is the «real deal». I had an estimate to fix my RV that was really outrageous. I saw Fix n Smog website and decided to call. Alex walked me through his diagnostic process and why it was so detailed. The other guy did a diagnostic and listed every part that came up. Alex and his team pin pointed the problem and fixed it. My Rv passed smog and I was spared from getting screwed. Call Alex next time you need a smog test and if you are unlucky to fail. Know that you will get a fair deal from this guy. I highly recommend Fix n Smog.

Great service! I was in and out in 15 minutes for a smog check! No appointment necessary. Helpful guys working here. Just be careful not to step in a muddy puddle … The asphalt could use a little TLC.

My boyfriend happened upon Fix-​n-​Smog when he needed to take one of our cars in for a Smog test! He spoke of what a great deal he received and that the owner, Alex, was extremely nice.
Here’s an example of amazing customer service! I took my BMW in for a window repair. When I got home, I notice the window had become damaged. I went back to Alex, expecting to be blamed and him telling me it was my fault. What happened, was that he took complete responsibility and found me another window. In this day and age, WHO DOES THAT??? I’ll tell you… Alex!
So if you want to have your automobile fixed at an honest shop where the customer service in #1…then choose FIX-​N-​SMOG!!!

One star is too many. I wish I could give this place negative stars. I was ripped off by this «mechanic». These guys claimed to have installed a new transmission in my car. Which after taking it to another mechanic was not true.
After that I still had issues, these guys tried to tell me I had major engine problems and quoted me over a thousand dollars to fix it. When I took it to a reputable mechanic and had a diagnosis done I found out I had a sensor that had failed and it cost me less than $ 200 dollars to replace.
Look at the Unilocal reviews for fix n go. It is the exact same business with the exact same employees and owner it has 1.5 stars and 29 filtered (fake) reviews.
