Connected Heating and Air Conditioning

This is my 2^nd time calling for service with Connected Heating and Air Conditioning, and both times they did not disappoint. Because I called in last minute, they could not squeeze me in till a few days later. I explained my situation that i needed someone to come out and fix my furnace by a certain date, and they went the extra mile and accommodated me. Jerry was so helpful and was able to fix our furnace. He explained the problem of our furnace that is easy for me to understand. I was expecting to pay for the service call plus the repairs, but he only charged me for the service call. This goes to show you that there are still some honest people/​companies out there that are not trying to rip you off each time you call for service. Thank you Jerry and to your company. I will definitely recommend you to my family and friends.

Yeah! The other reviews were right. Great customer service, prompt with returning calls and arriving at the promised time. Prices seem good to. I’m sure you can find cheaper, but you won’t find this quality for less.

Duane and his team came to install my heating and air conditioning last Friday. They were on time and prepared. He brought half a dozen skilled technicians, they completed the work in a couple of hours with skill and efficiency. Duane’s honesty and integrity make him a pleasure to work with. I got three bids for the job. Connected Heating and Air beat the competition in many ways, price, quality, warranty, and HVAC proficiency. Duane installed a Honeywell Smart Thermostat, with WiFi connectivity; works great on my iPhones and Android devices, even away from home. They completed a similar job at my daughter’s house, and the system has been working flawlessly for a couple of years. I don’t often give 5 stars, but Connected Heating and Air exceeded my expectations. I recommend them without resurvation to family and friends.

My heater wouldn’t light. They were able to come out here a little quicker than the other HVAC companies. got it working. All good.

Came out on a Sunday afternoon — 90+ degree day — to diagnosis air conditioning problem. We agreed to replace the entire unit instead of dumping money into a 25 year old model.
Within a few days a crew of 4 to 5 employees showed up and installed new heating/​air conditioning unit in less than half a day.
The price was fair and workmanship excellent!
I highly recommend this company for any of your heating or air conditioning needs.

My heater fan would not shut off and the gas heating was not working. Since my furnace is about 28 years old, i was thinking that this was going to be a very costly repair or maybe even a replacement. I contacted Connected on Friday afternoon and they had someone or at my house Saturday morning.
Jerry showed up on time and pulled off the cover and went to work pulling wires and using equipment to diagnose the problem. He replaced a part and got it back up and running. Jerry is awesome!
These guys are honest and good technicians. They are staying in my contact list for repairs.

I have a newfound outlook based on our recent experience with Connected Heating and Air. Over the past year we have had four occasions where we were in need of heat and air-​conditioned repairs. All four calls went out to Connected Heat and Air. In the dead cold of the winter, Jerry rescued us within one hour of our phone call. He diagnosed the problem and had us heated up within 30 minutes.
We then faced three different A/​C breakdowns during the summer heat of 2015. First call, Duane responded in 20 MINUTES! We were amazed just to get a call back, much less to have our unit repaired shortly thereafter. The second two repairs were handled by Duane with the same response, efficiency and results. Duane knows his business inside and out. He has the proper knowledge and tools to achieve good results. This company is fast to respond, ethical, honest, considerate, reliable, fast, neat, AND, they carry parts in their vehicle! Brilliant! Saves time and money for everyone. Duane stops at nothing to satisfy his customers. I am very happy he is a young man so I will be able to use him for many years to come. Need I say more? If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars I would. Thank you for your professionalism Duane and Jerry.

After having meeting with two other contractors Dwayne’s quote was the lowest. This is helping me budget, so I can eventually replace my 22 year old HVAC in the near future. I had them out a 2^nd time earlier this year to complete an annual service on my HVAC. I really appreciate their honesty, and how they shoot you straight. Everyone needs to understand that in peak heat times an HVAC technician is going to be backed up. Connected is worth the wait.

No A/​C in 90+ degree weather is so awful. Of course any breakdown always happens over the weekend. For us that was Saturday afternoon. I left a message for them and got a text back later from Teala giving me a list of suggestions on what to check. Unfortunately none of those easy things were my problem but that is the first time a company has offered free advice just to help out. It’s good business.
When we could not fix ourselves she scheduled an appointment on Monday, Jerry came on time, knew exactly what is was and fixed it. I guess this start motor capacity is a normal problem with a 10 year old unit and he carries the part so it was fixed in 15 minutes. I could not be happier.
I would recommend them highly. They were extremely helpful, conscientious and quick.

I have a feeling this may be a long review. Let me start by explaining the problem and then my journey. My wife and I have central/​forced air and started to notice a problem with our unit at the end of last season. At that time it was not that hot but there was still quite a demand for AC repairs. I decided to wait until it was cooler and have someone come out and look at the unit. Initially my uncle came out to run some tests and show me what to clean. we cleaned everything which did not seem to be the problem. He then ran a pressure test and noticed the pressure was low and I probably needed refrigerant. He explained to me that my unit uses R22 and that he did not have anything so I should probably call someone who has it available. I contacted an unnamed company (other than Connected) on a referral. That company came out and did the same routine my uncle had already done. Then he told me the same thing my uncle told me and said my pressure was low. He suggested I put R22 in the system but he said I may have a leak and suggested I purchase a leak repair for $ 120 that runs through the system and plugs the holes. SO I purchased that, R22 and labor costs. In a nutshell the air worked perfectly for about 2 months and after that we were back at swamp cooler status again.
Flash forward I spoke to my brother n law and he recommended Connected Heating and Air Conditioning! I made contact and they were able to schedule an appointment in about a week. When the technician (I believe Duane) came out he was nice enough but more importantly VERY knowledgeable. Duane explained everything to me and I had a lot of questions. After the same routine he said the same thing, pressure is low needs more refrigerant. I told Duane my story and had some VERY good explanations as to what had happened during my previous encounter with the OTHER company. The key here is Duane has obviously had numerous years of hands on experience and knows what he is doing. Finally prior to putting refrigerant into my unit Duane pulled out a funny looking beeping tool which the previous company did not have or did not use. I asked him what it was and he stated it was a leak detector, WHAT A FLIPPING GENIUS IDEA! A leak detector, there may be a leak so lets try to find it (sorry about my sarcasm). Duane identified the leak in the valve where the refrigerant is introduced into the unit. He was able to repair the leak and replace my refrigerant for far less than I originally paid. Duane was definitely helpful and my entire experience was pleasant. If I need any additional repairs on my heating or air I know who to call, THANK YOU CONNECTED HEATING AND AIR!

Duane has been awesome. He is responsive and quick to get out to us. We have used him three times now and each time he has been knowledgeable, responsible, and efficient. He is honest and doesn’t try to just make a quick buck. Even though we had a very old unit, he was honest and told us that it still works ok instead of pushing us to purchase a new unit through him. It’s very refreshing to have someone you can trust and know that you don’t have to worry about being tricked or ripped off. You can tell he really tries hatrd and knows his stuff!

After calling to make an appointment to have my offices A/​C unit looked at I was told that they were booked for the next week. I told her no problem I’d like to make an appointment for your next available opening. She then stated they actually don’t make appointments that far out because people flake and don’t show. Unprofessional for a business to turn away a potential client. I guess in this day and age when you have 5 stars on Unilocal your able to be selective. On the upside Thompsons AC was very accommodating and I’ll be happy to give someone our business that needs it. Stay cool my friends!

The last couple of times we needed repairs for our AC unit Duane made his way out to us quickly. Like others on Unilocal have stated, he is honest and will tell you if a repair you are requesting is just a bandaid that will end up costing a ton, and will suggest other options without pressuring you to go that route. They are a busy family business, but Duane has been really wonderful about making time to swing by & make the necessary repairs to our AC unit.
We sincerely appreciate Duane’s time & that he seems to really care about his customers. We will continue to be loyal customers!

My business partner used Duane and his team on his house and was super happy. So I called and to set an appt and from the beginning to the end it was a walk in the park! I am so super happy with the customer service, the honesty, and straight up get the job done attitude! What more can you ask for! Called them to get a quote for a more efficient ac system. Someone came out and spent maybe 10 minutes here, looked at my condenser and furnace and said that I should just replace my current old system. I asked about dual zone and was told that it would cost too much money because I would need two furnaces. One in the attic and one where I currently have it. Didn’t give me any real numbers.
I met with two other HVAC companies and they both said we don’t need two furnaces and they both spent at least 30 – 40 minutes going through everything to make sure they give me a more accurate professional opinion. They did give me a quote for dual zone since this is what I wanted in the first place and it was a lot of money but money I am willing to spend.
Needless to say I was disappointed in their lack of communication. My quote was a verbal «it’s going to be approx this amount» rather then a full quote with scope of work.
No attempts on follow up or anything. I guess our $ 15k worth of business will be going elsewhere.

Connected Heating and Air is a very honest company. Not only are they honest, they saved us 22,000 dollars!
We had a different company come out to check out AC and they basically said everything was broken, not repairable, and it would cost 22k to replace. I felt weird about that so I decided to get a 2^nd opinion.
I called Duane at Connected and he referred me to his associate Jerry. Jerry was able to come by our house on the same day! After inspecting the AC unit and furnace, he figured out that it was just completely clogged with dog hair and needed coolant! That’s all! It only took a couple hours and now our house is nice and cool.
Jerry was very thorough in explaining exactly what happened with the unit and there was no upsell. He also gave us suggestions on how to avoid the issue again and when to get the system serviced.
If you are having issues with your AC or heater, skip «the other guys» and immediately call Connected!

Moving into a (big) new house can be daunting with expenses that seem to hit you by surprise one after another. A contractor working on another project in our home suggested getting the duct cleaned out or replaced, and eagerly seemed to want to do the work. I contacted Connected Heating and Air Conditioning for a second opinion, and Duane promptly returned my phone call the morning before Thanksgiving. After looking at the system, he recommended a few things, but suggested leaving the duct work alone, which would have cost us significant $ to replace. (note: I did my homework and cross referenced with another reputable recommendation that matched Duane’s)
Service was excellent. Duane’s honesty is what I appreciated most. In any line of work that requires expertise, there will always be smoke and mirrors. He easily could have recommended unnecessary work and gone through with it, but he did not. And for that reason, he has earned a fair shot at any potential future business and also a strong recommendation to family, friends, and of course my fellow Unilocalers. On top of that, Duane was also very communicative and easy to work with — great attitude and very friendly.
Integrity is key, and I can attest first hand that Connected Heating and Air Conditioning checks that box off with flying colors. Strongly recommended.

After 40 years our heater died. Right when the weather turned cold. BRRRRRRR! Three days without heat. Excruciating.
We found Connected HAC through the wonderful reviews found here on Unilocal.
We called for repair. Jerry came out the next day and determined we needed a new unit. He suggested letting Duane recheck his assessment.
Duane came out the next day. Bingo. He ordered the new heater and scheduled the appointment for Thursday at 9a.m.
Duane arrived on time with a team of 4 installers.
I returned 3 hours later — a gleaming new heater greeted me.
The new heater is working like a dream keeping us roasty and toasty.
