when I scheduled an appointment I told the rep. that I wanted a tune and lubricate all moving parts. He suggested the upgrade special and I agreed and he said and moving parts would be cleaned and lubricated. when a very unprofessional guy with his shirt untucked showed up. I told him I only wanted a tune up he went on the defensive and had a bad attitude. He told me my furnace was in need of repair (which was a lie because I had the gas company inspect it a week earlier and there were no such problems with my furnace.
Next he was supposed to clean and lubricate the outside unit. The technician did not clean or lubricate the unit because he said was a closed unit. Another lie, I already contacted the manufacture and they said unit has oil ports and showed me were the locations. This guy said he was a supervisor and quoted me over 6000k for a condo and than said the price may go down when I was serious. He asked for the service fee and I refused to pay pending calling the company to speak to the owner about this very unprofessional technician. don’t use these guys at all costs.

We had Air Concepts out about 5 years ago. We had many issues that they couldn’t resolve.
–Condensation: they had to come out 5 times to get that handled.
–Air Ventilation: they tried to get it worked out but ultimately, it never got fixed.
–Clean Air: system made popping and squeaking sounds. We were told that is what the system does and that it is supposed to pop.
WE finally got tired of the noise and the way the system worked. We called out another company and we found out more wonderful information.
–They didn’t put in the correct ventilation for code in our garage where the system is.
This was a fire hazard to say the least.
–They should have changed the size of the vent to get the right air flow in.
–They bridged two wires together to make it function correctly. This is also a no no.
The company that came out showed us what they did.
–They also installed the bacteria light incorrectly.
–They also didn’t seal the compartment completly.
I won’t tell you the company that fixed our problems because I don’t want anyone to think that another company wrote this for their behalf. I can tell you with 3 small children at the time, that they could care less if our house burnt down or not. They ripped us off and it took us this long to figure out to get it fixed the right way. We were finally sick of having to make appointments to get something to work right. Which it never did.
I noticed them in the paper today. What a joke. They must be making some pretty good money.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, FIND SOMEONE ELSE. Get 2 or 3 opinions and don’t use Air Concepts…

Mark from Air Concepts came to my home today, What a great experience. My heater quit, I had no idea what was involved, feeling vulnerable having a service company come out. He was great, fixed it in minutes. Extremely reasonable. I was very pleased and relieved that it wasn’t something big
Very honest and straight forward. I would use no one else

My Christmas present this year was the purchase of a new AC & Heating system from Air Concepts. Once I got over the shock of having to purchase the units, the best part was dealing with Coy, Kellie and Metha. The guys that came to install my units were the best too; so professional, hard working and absolutely a joy to have them work in my house.
There were a couple of stumbling blocks but with the help of Coy, Kellie and Metha those were taken care of as soon as I talked to them. What great service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who needs to invest in new units.
I also have to comment on the guys that came out to do the final touch up on my ceilings where the units were installed. They were super and once again very professional. Best wishes to the company in the coming years, Mary

I love my new furnace! The old one was noisy and inefficient. The Air Concepts team were polite, efficient and explained things every step of the way. From choosing a new unit to the actual installation and follow-​up afterward. I would highly recommend this family owned company to anyone.

Coy serviced the heater at our condo rental. He was courteous, professional, and skilled.

Last week I had Mark visit my house to check out my air condition and heating. Mark was very polite and professional. He performed several tests on the air conditioning and heating and explained each test that was performed thoroughly. I would recommend Air Concepts to anyone looking for air conditioning repair or tune up. Ask for Mark. I highly recommend his experience and work ethic. Very knowledgeable in every aspect of the job.

Beware of this Company !!! Came to my house 8 weeks ago for a no cold air problem and told us that our condenser and vapor coil was plugged up. They said you need a new one at $ 7500.
They are only to come out to try to sell you a new unit and charge you a service call of $ 87 .
Called for a second company to get a estimate and the guy said all we needed was a recharging. They charge $ 200 to recharge my system and now it works great. It’s been working for seven weeks with no problems. BEWARE !!!

Last night I’m having the same problem with my AC as I did last year. Grrrrr!
I did everything Mark advised.
Mark stated there would be a two year warranty. Apparently there has been a leak from the start.
2015-​10-​09 I spoke to Air Concepts today. They promised to work toward a happy solution. They are returning next week. I have my fingers crossed. Stay tuned.
Now they’re saying the repair will cost me more money. Sigh.

Just spoke to some of my neighbors about your company and they are in agreement with me. Your technicians have provided quotes for unnecessary repairs. Rather than addressing the problem they have suggested unnecessary repairs. My ac is working fine, the only issue was the damper being closed. I saved $ 3000 by getting a second opinion!
Btw, I don’t appreciate the ridiculous msg your husband sent me. If you don’t like my review than perhaps you should adjust your business practices. Don’t suggest a $ 3000 repair when in fact there is absolutely nothing wrong with the system.
My friend works for Trane and sent his commercial installer to my house to check things out. He diagnosed the problem in 5 mins.
Also I do not appreciate being harassed by your employees for leaving a negative review!

Coy came out to look at my AC and I couldn’t be happier with the service. He is amazing and extremely professional. I highly recommend him. He is so sweet!

Today Coy came out to service my air conditioner, he was professional, personable and walked me thru what was going on. I truely appreciate his service and I will gladly and highly recommend Air Concepts to my friends and family. Thank you for the prompt service.

We just had Mark service our AC, and on a Sunday! He was courteous, professional, and very skilled/​knowledgeable. We will certainly call Air Concepts if we need work in the future. Air Concepts is amazing! I had my A/​C unit installed last summer and it works like a champ.
I live in a condo complex and one of my neighbors complained that she can hear my A/​C unit from here balcony. The unit compressor and fan sound normal but this certain neighbor would not let up so I called Air Concepts to see if they could help me. Josh came out and took a look at the unit and suggested that a second compressor blanket could be added to lessen the noise even more. They came out a total of 2 times, once to inspect and the second time to do the work. I was never charged a cent for the visits or the parts they used. This is a class act company that really goes above and beyond!

Waste of time to have her come out and let her give me a bid… I have a 1200sf. home and she quoted me $ 17,770 to install new AC and Heating unit. The house is older and did not have previous heat/​AC hook-​ups but over $ 17,000 is just down right ridiculous. I have received multiple bids since for less than half the price! Out of 6 other bids one the highest was $ 10,000 and others were more reasonable around $ 5,000 — $ 8,000. I told other companies and they all just laughed at her price saying that’s outrageous. I must say the lady that came out (the owner) is very knowledgeable about everything but her price is just crazy which made this the biggest waste of time to have her out. If I were you I’d get multiple other bids before letting this company do any work for you.

I first used Air Concepts during a kitchen remodel. All of their technicians were extremely flexible with my contractor and I never had a problem or delay with the construction due to air conditioning issues. The price was extremely competitive with other bids I received and their outstanding customer service got them the job.
Less then a year later, the day before I was leaving for vacation, my air conditioner stopped working. I was panicked as it was 100 degrees and I had a house sitter who would be staying in the house to watch the pets. I left a message after hours in a panic. I received a phone call first thing the following morning. Air Concepts sent a repairman out and the unit was repaired by noon the next day! The repairman Mark was the best.

Unit was installed on May 28^th. Did not pass the City of Anaheim building permit. Have made repeated calls to Kellie to have her come out and correct the installation. Joshua came out on ⁹⁄₂₂ and reworked the install and left a message on my phone he was still working with the building inspector. (PHONE message is saved on my phone) have Left two messages and e-​mailed Kellie. NO RESPONSE. This has gone on for months and months.
At this point, I would not recommend the company.

Expensive, late, misrepresented job facts.
Air Concepts replaced my entire HVAC system 7 – 8 years ago and did a very good job. So, it was natural to call them back when the air conditioner stopped cooling the house this summer. They were able to schedule a diagnosis a few days after I called, providing me a window of time for their arrival, which was 8 – 11. The charge was $ 87.50, which must be paid even if you schedule the repair work through them.
They showed up at 10:30AM. The diagnosis, which was a bad TXV valve, consisted of them testing the pressure/​temperature at the condensor and taking a quick look in the attic. Regardless, they showed me their standard price list, and the TXV replacement cost was $ 1,189. The high cost was explained to be the result of them having to tear my system apart, brazing, refrigerant, having their best technician and helper, etc. The TXV valve itself only cost $ 90. So, thinking this must be a really big deal, I swallowed hard and scheduled the work through them. They seemed like nice enough people, taking the time to enjoy the view at my home and talk with me for a while.
It took a few days for the part to be received, and the work was scheduled shortly after that. Again, I was only given a window of time they would arrive at my house, which was 8 – 11. Since I thought this was going to be a big job, and they for sure would arrive early, I was up getting things ready at 7:00AM.
That gave me time to do some research on the web regarding HVAC repairs, TXV valves, etc. As a matter of fact, a lot of research, because the clock passed 8:00, then 9:00, then 10:00 and no one showed up. Was this not supposed to be a big, time-​consuming job worth $ 1,189? I called the office at 10:30 and was told only that there was a window of time. The clock passed 11:00AM and I started to wonder how good the breakfast was they were enjoying.
By this time I knew more than I wanted to about HVAC repairs and TXV valves. Enough to ask some questions of the technician who finally showed up at 11:30AM. Q: How long would the job take? A: Less than 1 hour. Q: What are your brazing procedures? A: Brazing not required, threaded valve. Q: Will you be replacing my filter/​drier? A: Not included. Q: Where’s your helper? A: Not required, simple job. Q: What about having to take the whole system apart? A: Not required.
Q: What am I paying $ 1,189 for? A: Here’s our standard price list.
In consideration of being fair, I attempted to negotiate a price relative to the work required. After several phone calls, no decision could be reached. So, sorry about this, but there’s no way I’m going to allow this to go on any further.
What I came away with is that second opinions are worth the time and effort whenever a large sum of money is involved. I found a reputable company that did the work for less than half what Air Concepts wanted. That company was professional, competent, thorough, punctual, and honest.
10/​26/​2014 — UPDATE, RESPONSE TO REPLY: My review called out several concerns that were supported by facts. My review was truthful and honest.
In your reply, you avoided addressing the facts, bashed another company, justified your high costs, and implied I did not tell the truth. Nowhere in your reply did you address the $ 1,275 total cost of the job ($ 1,189 + $ 87.50).
For the diagnosis, an owner of the company and a trainee came out to my house. I’m pretty sure the owner makes money from profit and not an hourly wage. Regarding the trainee, you don’t expect me to pay for him, do you? That diagnosis certainly did not require two men.
No where in your reply did you dispute that the work would take less than an hour. So, assuming your cut for the entire job to be 80%, you would net $ 1,020 and your tech $ 255 for a couple of hours of work and travel. You use pay for performance and not hourly, right? Not bad.
Had the details of the job (i.e. less than 1 hour) been properly explained to me, I would have never agreed to having you do the work.
You bashed the company that ultimately did the work; does that make you feel better? I spoke with 3 other companies before making a selection. All three of those companies charged less than half your cost.
The problem is you are expensive, your tech showed up late, and the facts of the job were misrepresented. That is the truth.
BTW — To clarify things, I never asked for a refund, you offered it. Regardless, i just checked, and it posted after two weeks.

I needed my a/​c unit to be checked out. I called Air Concepts since they had good reviews on angies list. Mark was very good he checked everything and informed me that I needed a part for my compressor. He inspected everything even in the attic and the temp was up and over the 90’s outside so you can imagine when he was in the attic.

If you are looking for a legit AC company, look not further!!!
Brain and Frank came to my home on a repair call. They popped open my condenser and they discovered that my contactor was to blame for my AC issues. They replaced the part and now my AC is working better than ever. Just to be nice, Frank decided to only charge me for the repair call and not the part. With that nice gesture Air Concepts have earn themselves a long time customer.
