Come to Italy, come to Basilico

We brought Italy to you!

True Italian food and wine presented by a First Generation Italian Family at Basilico Ristorante Italiano located in downtown Olympia. «We came from Italy to Olympia in early 2000. We brought with us our passion and our knowledge for Italian food and wine and that alone made Basilico the first true authentic fine dining Italian restaurant in Olympia». Basilico stands out for its high level of freshness, quality and true authenticity. «Here everything is truly made from the scratch, and we do not compromise on that». Basilico also stands for celebration of life, where everyone is invited to enjoy those rare moments of joy combined with fine Italian food and wine in a cozy, friendly and elegant atmosphere.

History

Established in 2005.

Basilico is owned and operated by Campello’s family; Arlindo, Silvia and Persio (also known as Sid). In 2001 they started their business in USA by importing and distributing hand picked Italian Wines in Washington State. Later on they opened Basilico on December 2005. Their passion and knowledge for Italian food and wine has made Basilico the first true Authentic Fine Dinning Italian Restaurant in Olympia.

Business Owner

With his history as a world traveler, developed several skills with small businesses including owning a couple of restaurants in the late eighties, Import-Export between Italy and Japan and a fashion accessories Company in Italy just before deciding to come to the USA. Here in Washington he founded a small company as a Importer-distributor of Italian wines called Chosen Grapes. Having sold that Company, Basilico Ristorante Italiano became his next Venture.
