G.miller – olympia

G Miller is a rarity; a locally-​owned men’s store with high quality and impeccable customer service. I have a job that requires high-​quality suits and sports coats (sometimes I wish it didn’t …) I used to buy my suits at Nordstrom. But then I discovered that G Miller could get me the same suits at the same or better price, without the hassle of driving to Seattle. Greg the owner knows his stuff, and you won’t walk out until you are satisfied and look good. The casual wear here is a bit on the expensive side, but if you want a few good quality casual shirts and slacks, this is the place to get them. Plus the sales rack often has some good deals. Every guy who needs at least a one good quality suit or sports coat should make this their first stop.

I usually shop at Nordstroms, until I found G Miller, not only do you get to shop local but the service, quality and selection is absolutely wonderful! I love my 2 jeans and shoes, and sandals that I got! Thanks!

The only place to shop for fine men’s wear in Olympia. Great selection and friendly and knowledgable staff. I get all of my husbands shoes here and love that they carry the only shaving cream he can use on his sensitive skin, Jack Black. G Miller had class without being pretentious. Great experience every time.

I’ve been going here since before the name change. I can’t wear off-​the-​rack suits (I get mine custom tailored), but I have bought shoes (Allen Edmonds), belts, pants, and shirts here. The service is always great, and if you’re in a rush Greg can get the alterations done very fast. He is also happy to make special orders for you. This place is a gem for such a small town.

Absolute gem of a men’s clothing store. Fantastic brands, selection, and service. They stayed open 30 minutes past close to help me out and will have 2 pairs of pants hemmed for me the next day. This will be a destination for me the next time that I am in town.

Last year I went to g. miller (formerly Bartel’s) to rent the suits for my wedding. In addition to the huge selection of menswear in store, they had a wide variety of suits to rent. Nick is the man– he took care of everything, and was able to help us out of a last minute wardrobe snafu!
Based on my good experience with g. miller in the past, I decided to bring a few suit jackets in for alteration. I got a few quotes, and they were the most expensive by a bit. When I took it in, I knew I made the right decision. The little extra you pay for the service comes in the form of super knowledgeable salesmen. Greg and Nick walked me through their thoughts on the work I wanted done.
You definitely pay a premium when you choose these guys, but it’s well worth it.

Hat heaven. Was noticing modern use of hats by hip hop musicians. And I kind of wanted one. Saw this store and asked to be shown some hats. I had a blast. Only trouble is the best hat… looked better on my boyfriend. So I bought it for him (Merry Christmas in November!)

It’s pretty awesome to have a mens store downtown Oly that carries the same clothing lines as Nordstrom and Mario’s in Seattle. I will admit that sometimes BF heads to Seattle to shop for a wider selection; Barney’s is one of our faves. But he also does a significant amount of shopping here. They do a great job of presenting high quality duds. Decent shoe selection. Prices are reasonable and sales are ridiculous. 75% off! And don’t assume that if you don’t see it, they don’t have it. For instance, they keep their boxer selection in a drawer. Very colorful selection. Just ask.
Run by father and son, this is a great local business to support. The son cracks me up. Usually he is over the top friendly and helpful, then every so often he plays it really cool. I’m trying to figure out what triggers Mr Cool. The weather? Time of day? When Dad’s not around? Maybe he just gets into a Beverly Hills mood now and then.
This is an excellent place to shop — personalized service, high quality merchandise, and perfect location.

I went here to ask for a referral to a tailor, to have some pants hemmed. They said they could do it. The service was good, and the hem job was good (and reasonably priced), but I noticed the clothing here is really pricey. You can get similar stuff at Nordstrom Rack for 30−50% less. So, they must have really excellent customer service to survive.
