At Children’s House of Oceanside Montessori preschool, we pride ourselves in nurturing every young mind individually and respectfully. Children learn to express themselves in a peaceful manner, with close attention paid to grace and courtesy. Our studies include: Math, Language arts, Science, Geography, Sensorial, Practical Life and music/​fine arts.

The teacher child ratio is 1:6. Two certified teacher’s for 12 children.

Tuition is very reasonable and we accept assistance (county and state), if needed.

History

Established in 2006.

CHOO’s owner/​director, Sherry Eklund, has taught in various Montessori schools throughout California, while also teaching Mommy and me music classes in a number of South Orange County and San Diego County communities.

The growing demand of her popular music programs prompted Ms. Eklund to open her own school. Many parents from the musical mommy and me classes were looking ahead to preschool for their children and made numerous requests for her to open a school locally. Naturally, her Montessori training became the cornerstone of the school’s curriculum. For the past four years, CHOO has been providing an excellent foundation for learning, in preparation for kindergarten, future education and for life.
