Specialties
Personalized Chiropractic Care for Professionals and Active Individuals. Specializing in movement disorders, chronic pain, and complex musculoskeletal dysfunction. We specialize in the rehabilitation of the spine and extremities. Using the latest soft tissue release techniques and condition specific rehab exercises, Dr. Naweed tailors the care to the individual. No two patients are same, your treatment should reflect this fact. We also offer concise Chiropractic care for patients who have been in a car accident and sustained whiplash injuries.
History
Established in 2011.
Dr. Naweed graduated from Life West Chiropractic College in 2009 and started working as an associate in 2010. The following year, Dr. Naweed went out on his own and started Zensport Wellness Chiropractic Studio out of a 120 square foot office inside the Body Mechanix Gym in Jack London Square. Less than a year later, the practice moved to the Grand Lake area on Grand Ave. Within 3 years the practice grew to its fullest potential and Dr. Naweed started looking for a larger office. In late 2015, Zensport Wellness moved into a 1700 Square foot office at 1940 Webster Street in downtown Oakland where it currently operates.
Meet the Business Owner
Dr. Jaweed N.
Business Owner
Dr. Naweed is a board certified Chiropractor specializing in non-invasive treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. He treats nervous system dysfunction and focuses on conditions such as headaches, low back pain, disc injuries, TMJ, repetitive stress injuries, gait problems, chronic ankle strain/sprain, shoulder pain, pain associated with degeneration of the spine, plantar fasciitis, postural dysfunction, biomechanical dysfunction causing movement disorders, and pediatric musculoskeletal conditions. Rather than solely treating the symptoms, Dr. Naweed addresses each individual as a whole, assessing the entire kinetic chain to find the underlying problem. This whole body approach allows Dr. Naweed to achieve positive, long-term results giving patients the relief they need to function normally.
