One AMAZING woman, and one AMAZING company! My wife and I were blown away by Laura’s dependability, communication, optimism, and just being one INCREDIBLE wedding planner! She truly made our dream wedding come true. The wedding was beyond perfect. It was a day I will truly never forget and easily one of the happiest in our lives. And it really all boils down to the one who was at the helm, it was Laura, in all her amazing bad-​assness!
When shopping around for a planner, we consulted the Knot, Unilocal,and a few other places. We narrowed it down to 4 planners, each who we went to interview. We met with Laura at a nice café, and even before we got down to business, she asked us a bit about ourselves and how we met. She seemed genuine and we absolutely loved her enthusiasm. My wife was practically dreading the planning process, and when Laura told us that her ultimate goal would be for us to have absolutely ZERO worries and ZERO stress on our wedding day, we knew she was a keeper. We went on to interview 2 other planners after meeting with Laura, but it was like night and day. None of the other planners had that special «spark». My wife and I are also deaf, so finding a planner we were both comfortable with, and especially easy to understand, was extremely important to us. Laura is super easy to understand, she enunciates her words clearly, but not to the point of being rude or obnoxious about it (like some people can be). All of my deaf friends who attended the wedding also just raved about her, she was super approachable, fun, sweet, and very easy to communicate with.
We loved Laura’s many suggestions and help for everything from vendors to food to choosing just the right kind of music for our processional. She also supports local businesses and we really wanted to keep our wedding as «Oakland» as possible. Extremely fair pricing too. She really works with you around your budget, I was pretty stressed with all the money stuff, but Laura was able to guide me and help every step of the way.
I can think of the one time we were SUPER impressed with Laura. It was during our final sit-​down with the venue we chose for the ceremony and reception. (The Terrace Room in Oakland!!! WONDERFUL place!!!) The person that was running the event that night wanted to know about our overall theme and feel for the wedding. My wife and I had already explained this several times over to various people, but before we could even say anything, Laura jumped right in and explained the theme perfectly to them! She had the whole thing down completely clear and made sure that everyone was on the same page.
She has excellent organizational skills, she gave us a schedule for the wedding day that was planned down to the minute! It really helped ease things along, and she was able to give us just the information we needed, instead of lumping us down with a ton of paperwork, etc… that helped a lot with making the whole process go smoothly. If any concerns popped up, Laura was just a short text away, ready with suggestions and ideas.
We had one of the most incredible events in our lives, and it’s all thanks to Laura and her phenomenal work. We are definitely keeping her in mind for future events, such as big birthdays, or other important gatherings! We cannot recommend someone more than Laura. I’m getting all teary eyed now, great… thanks Laura for everything you did for us.

My daughter and I proudly did all the organizing for her wedding. When our caterer recommended we have a «floor manager» for the day of the event, we didn’t think we needed one. We were so happy that we took the suggestion. Laura Brezel came in for the day of the wedding and managed everything flawlessly. She very calmly, professionally, and with a smile coordinated the event making it a huge success. My daughter and I felt totally taken care of and could enjoy the wedding without any worries. I think Laura is a true asset to any event.

She seemed to know just what to do and when to do it. She is fun and creative. As a vendor who has worked with scores of professionals in this field, I usually do not go out of my way to review wedding coordinators. That being said … my experience working with Laura and O Frabjous Day Events was so overwhelmingly positive, I had to let the world know …
From the moment we arrived, i could tell the the day was going to go great; the staff were happy, the wedding couple were at ease and I absolutely equated this with is the experience and expertise displayed by our new favorite event planner Laura!
Laura was super responsive, easy going and provided us with exactly what we needed… She let us know when changes to the plans were about to take place and in general, made the entire event run smoothly. Kudos!

Laura is incredible. There are what feels like a million decisions throughout the course of planning a wedding and getting married. Hiring Laura was hands down one of the best decisions we ever made. She has all of skills and characteristics that you would want in a wedding planner: meticulously organized, impeccably reliable, well connected, great communicator, and just overall a pleasure to work with.
Right away, Laura partnered with us to fulfill our vision for our wedding. At first, quite honestly, we didn’t really have an exact idea of what our wedding would be so we can throw in fact that she’s very patient as well. Through Laura’s expertise and gentle guidance the vision came together to include all of the meaningful elements that were important to us. This wouldn’t have happened with our her.
We had an amazing wedding, and we’re certain that Laura was an instrumental part from beginning to end. We even received multiple compliments about Laura from many of the vendors we worked with, the wedding venue manager, the entire wedding party, and just about every guest that met her. If you need a wedding planner, look no further, you’ve found the best.

Laura was more than amazing, in every possible way. One day she was sitting here with us making fascinators for the bridesmaids hair, WHILE making tons of suggestions for our 1930’s musical hit list. Another day, she drew up several alternate ballroom seating arrangements to accomplish MY most important goal of everyone being near a table, with my (now (wife’s) most important goal of there being lots of room to move freely, and our dance show coordinator’s most important goal of leaving 30×40 feet of dance space in the middle… of a fairly small-​ish floor! She remembered to nag us about tasks, took care of hundreds of things w/​o missing a beat, coordinated a lot of pieces, and a lot of people, handled emergencies, and never acted annoyed even one time. She helped us understand timing and flow and how to manage it all so that people felt easy and comfortable and not the least bit rushed… and yet everything went off like clockwork, and evereyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there. And in her spare time, she found tons of pictures of bouquets, hair ornaments, 30’s dresses and tuxes and hairstyles, decorating ideasand set them up on pinterest for us to browse thru. Our wedding was the best day of both of our lives, and many many people said it was the best they’d ever been to… and no small part of the credit for all of that belongs to Laura.

I had to pleasure to work with Laura as a lighting vendor for a wedding she was coordinating at the Berkeley City Club.
Laura is collected, positive and easy to work with. In my observations of her interactions with her clients and any issue that need addressing, Laura was on top her game, making both my job easy and everything run smoothly without any hiccups.

Laura helped me plan my husband’s 60^th birthday party, which was a wonderful success. She suggested catering services that fit our budget, gave us some proposed menus so we could see the potential cost, told us how to figure out how much food, drink, and supplies we needed, helped us plan how to use the space in our house effectively, connected us with a staffing service from whom I got a bartender and server, and acted as general cheerleader and sounding board for us. We don’t give a lot of parties and I was pretty anxious about this one but wanted it to be special. It certainly was, and I give Laura a lot of the credit for it. She was so positive and encouraging, and everything she suggested fit our taste and budget. She enhanced our ideas and seemed as excited about the event as we were.
Laura can tailor her services to your needs, which I greatly appreciated. We needed advice and guidance, not hands-​on management, and that’s what Laura provided. She met with us at our home once, spoke with me on the phone at length, and we exchanged emails up to the date of the party. She provided spreadsheets, suggestion for vendors, and even recipes for punch and margaritas. I did all of the booking and buying except for the staff, which Laura booked for us.
I highly recommend Laura and O Frabjous Day for any event, large or small. She’s a gem!

Laura really made our special day extra special. She took the worry out of all the details so we could focus on our joyous celebration. Laura knew all of the important steps to take action on, the sequence that needed to happen to facilitate our quick ceremony. (We finally got civil rights and wanted to marry within a month to commemorate our anniversary.)

Thanks to Laura and her company, we had a wedding that came in under budget (!!!), was a beautiful representation of my husband and my sensibilities and relationship, and most of all, we got to be present during the most important ceremony and party of our lives.
