Ben Zicherman is definitely an attorney I would recommend to everyone. I found him through contacting several attorneys who had too many cases at hand, he saw me right away and began to make progress with what was going on. He was even able to get the detectives who were harassing my family and I to turn myself in to cease. Something that other lawyers i spoke with didnt even bother doing. Many of the attorneys I spoke with prior advised me to turn myself in being a Friday, Ben completely advised against it for good reasons. If you go in Friday you may have to stay the weekend in holding or jail (either sucks) for the weekend and still be held 48hrs more. So after that little advice and small consultation, I knew right away I was fortunate to have met Ben.
For facing the two serious charges I was, he gave me what he saw as an achievable outcome. It wasn’t a ridiculous answer, definitely a lot better than a guilty verdict. It was no joke what I was facing, and having never been accused of anything let alone faced any criminal charges before. I’ll be dead honest and say I was scared. But having met Ben was the best thing that could have happened to me, his confidence and knowledge on the subject of my case definitely gave me comfort in a time of great fear.
He had a vision of a final verdict on my case. What he told me was his aim from the beginning, were his results at the end. He is definitely a man with honesty and I hold the upmost respect for Ben Zicherman for helping me through what seemed to be a very dark and unknown experience. I’ve always heard mixed emotions and feeling when it comes to finding a lawyer. Stories about people taking off with their money to even just screwing them over and over charging. Never needed an attorney before and if you are looking for one on Unilocal I bet the same is true for you. I know it was true for me. I was pretty nervous calling around to different attorney’s offices, it was pretty bewildering. Until I called Ben. We were probably on the phone for 10 minutes that first conversation, but I knew in under two that I had found my attorney. He was very in control and that really put me at ease. He took care of everything and got me a much better settlement of my case that I realistically thought possible. Would’ve preferred not to need a lawyer in the first place, but if you need one, call Ben!

Ben represented for me on my DUI case and I couldn’t have been more impressed. He was patient, kind and took the time to explain to me every step in the process. I recently ran into some trouble with county services agency and the chargers were very heavy for someone like me who has never been in trouble before. After finding out they sent 4 police cars for me at 3am in the morning, I realized things were more serious then what was explained. I was charged with a dui over a year ago. I talked to a few lawyers before choosing Ben to represent me. This was the best decision I could have made! After a year of dmv and court hearings, the dmv found me guilty and suspended my license for a year. At this point I thought it was a wrap. 18 months of dui school, breathalyzer in my car and thousands of more dollars. He convinced the judge, she over ruled dmv, and with in two weeks dmv mailed me my drivers license. I feel like any other lawyer would have given up or not gone the extra mile. 100% worth every penny. Ben was fighting a complicated criminal case in Stockton for my uncle back in October. Since my uncle does not speak english, I was enlisted as the middle man and managed all communications. Fortunately, Ben was able to completely negate the language barrier so it was no issue at all, it was as if it was non existent. Describing him as accommodating and efficient would be an understatement-​he made routine trips from his Oakland office all the way up to Stockton when we needed him, promptly answered every text, phone call, and question with patience and understanding, kept us in the loop with every single update without ever needing to be asked, and truly made us feel like my uncles case was a top priority to him. I got myself into an altercation in a remote, backwoods community which has a hanging judge and a district attorney with political motivations. The district attorney blew the importance of my altercation out of proportion and was prepared to persecute me beyond the full extend of the law. Mr. Zicherman drove the two hundred miles of narrow, steep, winding back roads to represent me in court. My case was the first on the docket and Mr. Zicherman was there to represent me at an ungodly time early in the morning. With a finesse seldom seen in that courtroom, Mr. Zicherman deflated the district attorney’s great, big, overinflated, hot air bag and derailed the judge’s plans to railroad me. The case was dismissed.
Mr. Zicherman far exceeded the call of duty representing me. I personally would not expect him to go so over the top again, however he does have a impressive track record. No disputing that.

Like most people once you get in the system it likes to keep you there, I had a series of mishaps and bad luck my way and the lawyer I had before was over helping me and I was at risk of losing my license for another six months which would have been devastating, and although Ben told me that DMV hearings are tough he worked his tail off to explain why I shouldn’t have to lose my license and we won! Benjamin was recommended to me by a friend that I trust and hiring him was the best choice I could have made in a very stressful and confusing situation. Not only is he extremely professional, but very friendly and genuine and treats you like a real person. From the minute we talked about my DUI case he knew exactly what to do and was honest about all my possible outcomes. He was on top of everything and updated me with important info.
