History

Established in 2001.

Since its inception, Enginious Structures has completed design work on commercial, industrial, institutional and residential structures of various sizes and construction types. Special focuses include earthquake strengthening of buildings, especially seismically vulnerable soft-​story buildings, structural design of cladding components for concrete precast manufacturers, glazing manufacturers and contractors. We have worked on a number of projects using sustainable construction techniques and materials such as ICF and SIP walls.

Our designs are practical and straightforward to build. Our engineers have considerable hands-​on experience in project construction, creating designs that are easy to build, meet code criteria and eliminate improvisation in the field. We are committed to thinking «outside the box». We pride ourselves in finding cost-​effective, sustainable, innovative and practical engineering solutions while keeping in mind the architectural and aesthetic needs of our clients.

Business Owner

Enginious Structures was born from the idea that clients deserve exceptional service. Enginious Structures’ traces its roots to 1989, when its founder, Alexander (Sasha) Itsekson, began his career as a design engineer in his native Moscow. After immigrating to the United States in 1991, Mr. Itsekson built his experience and reputation at several well known Bay Area engineering firms. In 1996 he became a professional engineer in California and in 2001 he received his California Professional Structural Engineering license. He founded Enginious Structures, Inc. shortly afterwards to provide cost-​effective, sustainable, efficient and practical structural engineering solutions to his clients. Today, Mr. Itsekson is licensed in most of the Western United States and is a LEED AP.
