Two years ago I purchased carpeting for a condo rental. I returned again for new carpet. Experience was seamless, Mike, the owner, was super helpful, my purchase was quick and his installer, Robert, «The Carpet Man,» was incredible, fast, professional and did I say fast?
Thank you Mike and Robert for another great experience. If you need carpet, this should be your only stop.

Received very friendly service from Mike and lots to choose from on carpet and flooring. Mike has installers that are professional and very reasonable. Mike knows his stuff and will take the time to discuss good quality product verses poor.

I do not understand how anyone could rate this place less than 5 stars! We just got a rug for $ 844 that was quoted 5k at other places !! If you need a very large or odd size rug they can cut it for you and they have so much to choose from
Not to mention the service is impeccable and the turn around time is less than a week!
They also have LARGE pre cut remnants for $ 300 – 400. I will never go to a regular rug store again.

Mike and Maureen are fantastic! I walked in and Mike greeted me with a warm smile. The hospitality was a differentiated welcome.
The beautiful frisee carpet that we were shown was retail 1400 and we got it for 560!
Then we were equally pleased to meet their installer Robert. Robert is a joy, a hard worker and did an excellent job of installing our carpet.
Look — when you read reviews, ANYONE can say something negative and most people who write are the ones that are not satisfied. But to take the time to write something positive is not always top of mind as we take it for granted to be encouragers and grateful in a world that EXPECTS to be served. Well, we were served wonderfully and I suggest that anyone in business is going to make mistakes — has bad days, etc.
But, my experience of Amigos was a 12 out of 10 and I have lived around the world and done quite a bit of remodeling and they stack up with the best of the best in service, hospitality, performance and follow through!

The salesman/​owner of this place is a con artist. He insisted that we needed more carpet than are measurements called for. We had the exact measurements and his insisted we need more for streching and cuts that will be made. Gave us a «good deal» when started to leave, only to find out that he sold us 250 yards more than what we needed (that is $ 200 dollars)!!! Said nothing about the over sell except that he would make us a rug with the remaining carpet. He made a small rug and we still have 100 sq. ft. of carpet left over (enough to fill a small room) and he wanted to charge a restocking fee to take it back or a fee to make yet another (costco type rug).
This guy is a crook who comes across as passionate about his work because he is fast talking and acts like he is the expert on carpet measuring. Do not be fooled be the energetic enthusiasm he displays.

I made a recent purchase and on the up side, very good quality remnants. If you want good quality carpeting, anticipate spending upwards of $ 1.90 sq ft, not including padding for the better ends. I checked the big box stores and would have paid sound $ 2.58 sq. ft for comparable quality.
Measure accurately and Be sure of exactly what and how much you need. I ended up not needing the padding– it’s untouched – and it’s not returnable. If he cuts it, you bought it.
I am happy with the quality of the carpet I purchased but I would definitely shop around more before buying here again.

I went to Amigo’s to buy 601 sqft of laminate flooring I had seen two days earlier at their warehouse. The sales person – I believe he’s also a co-​owner – told me that he ran out of what I wanted, then proceeded to show me another sample at $ 2.80/sqft.
The sample was a tiny 10inX10in block on a ring with a bunch of other samples. He pushed this expensive laminate claiming that its very similarity to the one I wanted to purchase. He also said the expensive laminate comes with long variable length (6ft, 4ft, and 2ft) planks, and that he has personally seen it installed at a customer’s home. All of this information turned out to be false.
Thankfully I refused to purchase $ 1,700 of flooring from Amigo’s without seeing a large sample. Later, I learned that the pattern on the laminate he was pushing is very different from what I wanted. Also, the product comes with (4ft, 27in, and 21in) planks as opposed to the dramatically long (6ft’, 4ft, and 2ft) planks as the salesman had claimed.
I ended up buying my laminate flooring from Hernandez Flooring in Commerce. The lower prices (about 40% less in general) at Hernandez and quality of service is well worth the drive.
My experience at Amigo’s was horrible. I do not recommend doing business with this establishment.

We visited the warehouse in the past weekend and the owner, Mike was our favorite sales person that we have encountered during our entire carpet hunting process. They had a lot of remnant selections, and the price is competitive with other remnant warehouse as well. I was not sure which product to get, but eventually got a better quality carpet for our master and another pattern carpet for the rest of the house. If you are looking for a good deal, definitely check this place out :)

Our experience has been terrific. I got three estimates, and Mike’s was not the lowest but when I compared honesty and reliability, there was no comparison. I am a novice when it comes to home repairs or improvements. This experience has lifted my faith that there are honest, responsible and reliable people, who take pride in their work. Mike sent Robert Templeton, the installer over to get the correct measurements, because both of the other estimates measured incorrectly. Mike the owner is so accommodating! He did a rush job for me at the last minute and gave me a great price too. The carpet was install quick and looks beautiful. Referring a couple of friends who need carpet.

So, if you have read any of my other reviews you shall know that I typically follow a three strike policy before I write a negative review.
Amigo’s Carpet Warehouse, you have made the cut (the bad one).
We get there. It was easy enough to find. We walk in and are greeted by a man, who was with a customer, but he was pleasant enough to say hello and invite us to look around while he finished with his prior customer. And so we do. He finishes with his client and makes his way over to us. We explain a little about what we are looking for, and the size we need — he responds with some sales-​y line like «let me guess, someone you *think* you trusted gave you that size and told you that was what you needed?» — Which, it wasn’t so much what he said, but how he said it, as if it were his salesman approach to getting on our good side. My husband repsonds with «no, I am a contractor, I know my way around a tape measure». I wont give him a strike for that, but it was cheesy as hell, and made me giggle… he backtracked after that one… (awkward)…
Anyhoo, moving on: The first srange thing we notice is that the name of this company is not what the Craigslist ad said. We look it up again to make sure we are in the right place, and we were, only the ad called itself Eco Carpet Warehouse… When outside the building looking at the signage there is a big ol’ banner with Amigo’s name on it covering the Eco Carpet sign… No big deal, but why does the CL ad say the Eco name? That ad was placed that day… Again, no strike for that, but so far this place is strange…
So he starts calling prices out to us and they are pretty dang high. Kinda surprising actually since we went to this place because his Craiglist Ad said he had swatches in the $ 0.40 cents per square foot range. We told him that was what the online ad said and he said he was out of that carpet… Interesting.
He and Hubby begin to walk off as they try to find something that will speak to us… So far nothing does. Nothing reasonably priced, anyways. As they are off doing their thing I sort of putts around the warehouse. I figured if there was a carpet I really liked I was pretty sure I could talk Hubby into it even if it is out of our price range. So, I begin folding over carpet swatches (they have them rolled up so that I can only see the under-​parts, and you have to flip over the corner to see the carpet). So I open one. Stare at it for a little… think to myself ‘hmm, I’ll come back to that one”…I make my way to another, do the same thing… I un-​flap the corner. Stare for a bit, tell myself I’ll come back to that one too… I do this to about three more swatches…
It takes me a few minutes to notice, but I finally realize I am being followed around by one of his Office gals… She is folding each swatch back over the moment I walk away. So I test the waters… I unfold one more. This time she sighs and walks right over and folds it closed, ecept this time it was AS I was looking at it. I say «Excuse me, I am still looking at this one» She says «Well you need to pt them BACK!». I said «I planned to when I was done, but I am pondering… you know… being pensive… as in trying to decide…» She says «You can only look at one at a time!!!» …WTF? Really? Honestly, we are talking about five swatches, and I’d hardly made a mess at all… Whatever, I’ve chosen to not spend my money here.
I went and told Hubby, who was still talking to Corny Sale-​sy Mike, «lets go, they dont want our business…» He and Mike both look at me strange… Mike asks what happened, and I told him I was followed and scolded by a woman with bright blue glasses and massive headphones on. He apologized and said «that’s just how she is, she’s…she’s…» I said «Don’t worry, no need to make excuses for her… take care» and we left…
Ok, so, all of the above is really just my rant outlining my experience there, but it doesn’t really speak about what this warehouse offers as a business… So here goes:
–Their Inventory is small.
–The inventory they do have is for smaller rooms (12×15 max). If you have a larger room you wont find much here.
–Mike is nice enough, but his staff is rude as hell… In this day and age there is tons of competition in every industry… if I were he, I’d have my staff in check to ensure I was the go-​to for carpet…
— I was turned off by the fact that their CL ad was misleading, and pretty much a downright lie simply to get us in the door. We ended up finding our carpet about a block East of his shop who had GREAT selection and inventory (darn, i cant remember his company name! Sorry!).
^^ That being said… I’d simply go to all the carpet places… being a distributor of swatches means from time to time they just might have exactly what you are looking for. It’s all going to depend on chance and timing.

I had a really good experience here. Mike was very helpful and friendly. I found what I was looking for and am very happy with the carpet and the price. I had a space that was 9×10 so it was hard to find a rug that was big enough or wasn’t so big that I had to pay a lot more just to cut 3 feet off. A carpet remnant was much more affordable and it looks really nice too.

Overall a very good experience with great prices compared to retail. Mike is very knowledgeable and provides solid guidance on the carpet for the area you are considering. Just carefully measure your space go to see the carpet. You have to be somewhat flexible if you are trying to carpet many rooms with the same carpet, but if the carpet or size is not in the warehouse Mike will try to get if for you.
He contacts an installer that you make arrangements with. Installers were experienced, on time, and completed the job expertly. The installer picks up the carpet, delivers it, removes the old carpet, and installs the new. From picking the carpet to installation was about a week, although they will work with your timing. Definitely worth a visit.

I had a wonderful experience with this store. Mike, the owner, helped me figure out the square footage I needed and then walked around with me and my fiancé to show us different carpets he had available in that size. Clearly his stock changes from week to week and possibly day to day, but we found an upper mid grade carpet retail of $ 2900 for $ 900.
Mike referred us to an installer named Robert. Robert and his helper Will did a fantastic job. Every single seam is invisible, and the room and stairs are installed perfectly. They were on time and cleaned up after themselves. I really don’t have a negative thing to say about this entire experience except that if you are looking at doing an entire house, they may not have a piece of carpet big enough for your needs. In our case they had enough to do 2 bathrooms, a 19×14 bedroom and 19 stairs with some carpet left over. I had priced the same area with installation at Home Depot for a lower grade carpet (.65 cents a square foot) and the total was close to $ 2500 with cheaper padding and installation. I spent $ 1400 and got beautiful carpet and perfect installation. I saved enough that we opted for 8 pound padding so the carpet is even nicer!
The installers also gave me advice on my wood flooring and how to scotchguard the carpet as well as offered to come back and fix any repairs I may need in the future as they also gave me an extra piece should I ever need it. They also took away my old carpet and padding included for no extra charge though you can do it yourself and save a little bit of money if you want.
Mike’s Amigo’s carpet is a warehouse in North Hollywood — it’s not a beautiful showroom, but the carpet and installation is as good as any place I have been to. In addition you can go to

Normally I read the Unilocal reviews before I go visit someplace, but since I saw an ad in Craigslist I didn’t know where exactly I was going. I called the number and the lady gave me an address in North Hollywood so I loaded up the family and headed down the 170.
Parking was a breeze and lead me to a large warehouse. Rolls and rolls of carpet, mostly standing on end filled the place up. Friendly chap named Mike came out and greeted me. Since I came prepared with room measurements I just handed it over to him. Most carpet rolls are 12-​foot wide and he confirmed we needed about 28 feet. The wife and I were looking at his wide assortment of remnant carpet and narrowed it down to two. Mike gave me prices and gave me his opinion on the different qualities of each carpet. He also told me that if I wanted, I could have it installed that day, since he knew the schedule of his top-​notch installer Robert.
The prices he gave me were competetive. Being the cheapskate I am, I still had to haggle and he countered with a great price. When I got home I contacted Robert and scheduled installation three days later. Robert was a real craftsman and did a great job. All in all, a pleasant, efficient, transaction that resulted in a great product so skillfully installed in my home. An easy 5* rating for Amigo’s.

I got carpet, padding & installation WITHIN 3 HOURS for the same price Home Depot wanted for JUST the carpet and a 7-​day wait!
Found this place through Craigslist, needed carpet for a small room. I wasn’t looking for anything too particular and almost immediately found a roll that was exactly the color and size I was looking for. Price was about 80% off retail, came in around 70 cents a square foot for nice carpet! The length was about 2 feet longer than I needed so I ended up having to buy a useless 20 sqft but that’s to be expected at a leftover store, and it was STILL cheaper overall than anywhere else. Added some very good quality padding and totaled $ 229. Asked if they had an installer they recommended and Mike hooked me up with Juan who picked all the materials up for me and arrived at my house an hour later (wearing a Home Depot installer shirt, he picks up side gigs like this when Home Depot has no clients for him). Less than an hour after that it was done and looks great. There was one very small defect in the carpet and Juan was careful to make sure it was as close to a back corner as possible, it doesn’t bother me at all and is barely visible.
DOWNSIDES (none of which I experienced):
— you have to buy the whole roll of carpet since its a closeout store. So if you need 10×10 and the one you love is 10×15 you’ve got to buy all of it. **People, its a leftover store, it would be ridiculous to expect a perfect shopping experience at the discounts they offer**
— what you see is what you get. Don’t expect to come back for more of the same carpet you bought before. **Again, its a leftover store.**
OVERALL:
— I highly recommend Amigo’s if you’re looking to do rooms in different carpets, there’s a much smaller selection of carpets they have in big quantities if you want uniformity.
— I recommend having them unroll the carpet before you buy it, check for any defects if you want to be safe.
— Mike is a retired carpet installer and knows a ton of working installers that have lots of experience, ask for recommendations if you need one.

If you want fancy decorator’s advise and racks of carpet sample books… go somewhere else. If you want great affordable flooring go see Mike! Mike the owner of Amigo spent lots of time asking great questions about what WE needed from our carpeting and educating us on the options he had avaliable. The inventory is endlot, closeouts so you can’t just order from a book. You will also need to do your own measurements but if you’re not afraid to use your 6^th-​grade math you can save yourself a ton of money! I found exactly the carpet that I wanted and saved over $ 2,000 over every carpet store bids. Robert and Will came to do the installation. they were super nice and did an amazing job! What no reviews for AMIGOS??? That’s insane! So here goes. They’re CHEAP and the quality is GREAT!
We went all over looking for good quality flooring (wood for the kitchen). Everywhere we went we were more and more convinced that we couldn’t afford real wood and would have to get Pergo… blah.
But then we found AMIGOS. We were able to find the most beautiful pecan REAL hardwood floors for LESS than we would have paid for Pergo. That’s right people LESS than what Pergo costs. And it was REAL WOOD — can you say RESALE VALUE???
We bought all the floor and glue for our kitchen and I installed it myself (and yes, my wife helped). Our kitchen isn’t that big, but we did it all for $ 600. I had an estimate from a «professional» and he wanted almost $ 2,500 for real wood.
So, 3 years later… how’s the wood holding up? Well I have 2 kids, a wife, and a sister in law living with me, and the floor still looks great. We drop pots, books, spoons, and everything else but the kitchen sink… har har… and the floor still looks great.
Now keep in mind we did get Anderson wood, which from what I understand, is very good quality. So Amigos has nothing to do with how good the floors are… but they do sell high quality stuff as well as the cheap stuff.
