Went to waterside hoping to enjoy dinner overlooking the water only to find out that they are closed and all of the doors to waterside are locked. It is such a beautiful day so we webt to the Military Highway location and was left eating indoors because of the cigarette smoke.

Its a hooters. Pretty much similar to other hooters. Quite large with outside seating though. Great staff, very helpful. Fried pickles and cheap PBR.

Went for all you can eat wings night. There wasn’t many customers when we got seated. Ordered our wings, but took about 25 minutes for them to come out, which is very long given it’s all you can eat wings night. I ordered the daytona beach style wings, didn’t taste like the ones I had in cincy. This one tasted like fried and then slightly grilled, while the ones in cincy I could tell were just grilled. My friend had regular style medium wings, but not enough sauce on it and so we asked for more sauce, didn’t realized we get charged for it. Anyhow, the deals are good for the amount of wings we ate but service could be better.

Went here late at night, around 945, not knowing they close at ten. The waitress, however, was very cool and said we could still get beers and food! The wings were AHMAZING as usual; fresh, crispy, delicious. Buffalo shrimp was also on point.

Terrible service. Waited over an hour and they never even brought the appetizer we ordered. Waitress was useless and the manager we spoke to said he would«go check on the food» and never came back. We eventually just had to leave.

Hooters is a dependable known quantity everywhere across the nation. This outlet in Norfolk is no exception. It’s sad to have such a good place in this defunct waterside mall. But the view from the outdoor eating area is excellent. The indoor view is excellent as well– Hooters girls never fail to impress and they always make you feel at home. I dropped in in the late afternoon for a lunch and was well and quickly served, and enjoyed the fish sub sandwich. The fish was grilled or fried to your liking. It was served with little curly fries that needed some more seasoning. The menu seemed to have a little of everything. A couple near me seemed to be making vague complaints about something they had ordered and both the server Amanda and the manager went overboard tryng to satisfy them with another dish of their liking. It was customer service above and beyond the call of duty. While it’s a hard sell to my wife Hooters has always been fine by me both as to quality and service and the rices are reasonable compared to equivalent places like Chili’s.

Craved for wings so I thought of having the wings that are served here. I love how the hooters handle my orders. The waitress was very prompt on serving the orders. I didn’t even thought that this place has a very outstanding service. Its great to know that there are places like this that serves fine tasting wings!

I like Hooters simply because when I go there, I know what to expect. Chicken made with their famous sauce, cheap beer and chatty waitresses. Do I love going here? No but when it’s time to hang with the boys, this is a good stop. They have plenty of TVs to watch whatever game is on.

Food and ambiance is your as expected Hooter food and feel. I went on the healthier side and got the new spinach salad and crab legs. Both were great. I sat at the bar, and I was surprised to see the bar tender siting half the time on a bar stool that was behind the bar and talking to a patron. The manager came by and didn’t say anything. Perhaps this is a southern thing when it’s not very busy, but I did see the waitresses having to come find her from time to time. To her credit, the bartender did service me without issue. I would only suggest that the stool be taken out from behind the bar.

Food was good, hot, and prepared correctly. Waitress was attentive but almost overly so. Talent was lacking overall. Still, when you’re stuck in Norfolk, there are worse places to be.

Hooter’s is a fairly well known as a chain. Are the best place ever no, but they provide reliable bar food and I personally enjoy their wings. They have enough styles for the mild or spicy person. However I have tried other items. the burgers are good. As an appetizer the Lots a tots loaded are awesome and the onion rings are good. I tried their Cobb Salad the other day and I am a fan and it had a cool presentation with a row of toppings making it look striped for racing. I was there Wednesday and wing special is a good deal on Wednesday’s. Also I love the patio effect on the river of this location can’t be beat on an awesome weather day.

My buddy and I came in after a round of golf Saturday. Service was decent. I tried their new bam bam wings, extra large in size, three for $ 7.99 with a side of fries. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have curly fries. It’s one of those things you expect! So I started to order my wings plain with sauces on the side and was told that each sauce cup was 49 cents. An extra $ 2 isn’t much but their wing competitors don’t charge when I order five different flavors. Wings were decent and I’m still craving curly fries. I realized that I took in 2,000 calories so I spent an hour at the gym Saturday night. AYCE wings on Tuesdays. Looking forward to my next cheat month!

I was here by myself after the lunch rush. There were plenty of staff, enough to be sitting around and arguing over tables in front of customers. There were two people working in the kitchen and the manager sitting at the bar. My food order took almost exactly 30 minutes. I think that’s a pretty long time for grilled chicken. I took one bite into a fleshy pink chicken breast and was pretty sickened by the raw texture. The server and manager acted immediately to apologize and offered a replacement or to remove the chicken from the bill. I opted for the latter bc I did not have more time to wait. I did eat the Fried pickles which I have eaten at least six times at various other locations. I’ve never gotten ill from them before but after I ate half an order of the ones from here I was nauseous. Im not positive but I think it had something to do with how they were cooked. They looked different. They were all missing their center so instead of pickle chips they looked like pickle bagels or donuts. They weren’t crunchy either. I had to pick through to find the good ones. I will not return to this location. The one in Virginia Beach is much better in both service and food quality.

The food here is decent, but they mostly get high marks for the high energy and fun environment they provide. I came here the other day and sat at the bar and waiting for my friend to arrive. As I waited, girls everywhere were welcoming everyone that came in with their sing-song loud hellos. Girls were dancing, laughing, giggling, teasing and yes, even being a little dramatic. I felt like I was in some weird version of Jersy Shore. But it was all in good fun and mildly entertaining and I can see why several single guys at the bar enjoyed the show :)

Hooter’s at Waterside has great views of(you guessed it!) water and has a nice location in Norfolk. We went for lunch last Saturday; there were a few other patrons, but it was pretty dead for the most part. I imagine they get a lot more business when the weather is nice. Although, with over two feet of snow on the ground in MA and temperatures that can’t bust out of the 20s, a 40 degree January day in Norfolk is wicked nice from my point of view. The first thing we ordered was fried pickles(our favorite!). The pickle chips on the top and in the middle of the plate were tasty and well done, just as we’ve come to expect from the franchise. However, the chips at the bottom of the place were drenched in a pool of grease and were not fit to be consumed. We didn’t complain about it, but our waitress did notice and apologized sincerely. In fact, at the end of the meal, she insisted that we order a dessert on the house to make up for it. The manager also came over and apologized to us. I thought this was a nice gesture, particularly because we didn’t make a fuss about the pickles. Most of them were fine, after all. My boyfriend got his usual order of spicy drumsticks, but I decided to try the BFOC(Big Fish on Campus) sandwich, an item that’s designated as heart-healthy on the menu. I ordered it grilled, but you can get it fried as well. When the plate came, I got a large hunk of fish that hung over the edge of the hamburger bun that came with it. The plate also included toppings for the sandwich, like lettuce and tomato, and a side of coleslaw. The fish had some sort of spice on it, but I didn’t think it was especially good. I’m not sure what kind of fish it was, but it had a particularly fishy taste to it. While I’m not going to complain about the fish portion size, it was really too big for the hamburger bun, and I ended up eating the bun and the fish separately. The coleslaw, served as a side, was very bland and did not include a lot of sauce. It was pretty dry as far as coleslaw goes. The strawberry lemonade I had with lunch was excellent! It was a perfect balance of sweet and tart. The free cheesecake that we ordered to make up for the pickle grease was also good. I never would have guessed to associate Hooter’s with good cheesecake, but there you have it. The food was pretty average overall, but the service itself merits five stars. Everybody was very friendly to us. Our server was Noël, and she was extremely kind and attentive to both of us. I would recommend asking for one of her tables if you go there. FYI: I’ve heard that this location is the better of the two in Norfolk. The one on Military Highway is not nearly as nice.
