I am sorry for late review Allan. but since I just recommended you to a friend might as well give you my review now. I remember you at our house checking how many windows I need to put shutters to. Out of all my 24 windows that you and your team worked on I also like to say thank you for my sliding door blinds. Your work was amazing and on-​time. Very reasonable price. It’s been 2 years now since it was installed and I don’t see any problems with them. No regrets that I chose your company for the job.

Just had a great experience with Alan for our walk through and measurement appointment. Gave us the full run down and selections and explained the process of how shutters work and was very impressed on his customer service. Had such a great experience my parents decided to schedule with him and purchase some shutters with this company also. People who give bad reviews I don’t know how you would unless you’re just impatient and inconsiderate.

Update… so after I called the office and I was told that I did not qualify for a referral fee as you read my previous review strangely enough a week later and I get a check in the mail for $ 125 from the company. Strange isn’t it? After I was told I wasn’t getting any referral fees. Several days ago I received a call asking if I had received the check and if I was willing to remove the review on Unilocal

This is the updated review for the company’s after-​sale customer service. The company’s owner reached out to me over the weekend and took care the issues that I wrote on the review first thing Monday morning. I appreciate that the company takes care its customers. Definitely recommend E&J shutters for those who are looking for great products and customer service.

Original review was we had an appointment with this company and we had to squeeze and honor our agreed appointment on a Sunday at a certain time. The owner/​estimator arrived late and My wife complained why he was late and he blurted out that he does not have to be there since its Sunday. My wife told him why did they make appointments if he’s complaining working on a Sunday?
Then he walked out.
Below is the reply on the company’s comments which has inconsistencies.
My wife did not say any profanities towards you. You are complaining that you do not have to be there since it is Sunday, so why did you make appointment that day? Thats what she told you. And I did not apologize to you for you being late. Anyway good luck.

Hired EJ Shutters to do shutters in my house. The work was good. The installers just need to be more careful as they damaged the base of the windows and didn’t tell me. Communication could be better since we waited 7 weeks for poly shutters when it was suppose to be done in 5 weeks. The owner corrected the situation promptly.

Excellent quality and very competitive prices. We are very happy with their service and quality.

I previously had posted a review that was more than unfavorable prior to getting my shutters installed… There were many phone calls made and questions answered.
** Long story short: there was much miscommunication with our sales representative, Joe. He didn’t follow E&J protocol and the owner, Allan, worked hard to make things right.
Allan called right away (upon posting my prior Review) to make sure what my side of the story (versus his sales rep) was and made strides to make sure the situation was sorted out and that going forward, the installers were courteous and on time. Allan also followed up with me over the phone to make certain I was satisfied with everything — which I am.
Everything you’d expect from E&J based upon other reviewers was true minus the greatly faulted sales representative– Joe. Their products are great and their installers are speedy and precise. There was one window that wasn’t measured correctly from the beginning, but that will be put on the sales representative not measuring correctly. Victor, the installer, not only followed through with replacing the incorrect window size but he also made all the minor corrections that I found with the shutters (such as paint drips and tight hinges. He has a touch that made them look like it never existed!
I think if I had to do this over again, I would still use E&J but through a different sales representative. I had to deduct a star for the «bad taste» I still have from this mornings ordeal… But if you’ve read this down to the end, they really are a 5 star company — customer service is stellar.

Love my new shutters! Richard, the sales rep, did a great job answering all my questions. I’m so pleased with the quality of the product… Looks great!

I met with Joe from E&J’s shutters and he was very helpful and respectful. I told him my price range and he made it work. I’m very happy with my shutters. I got several quotes before I selected E&J’s shutters. The reason I went with E&J’s shutters is because their shutters are made with real wood in Norco, CA by people from Norco, CA. The other shutter companies I met with import their plastic products from China. Thanks again Joe and E&J shutters.

I just got my shutters installed & they look amazing. The quality of these shutters impressed me greatly. I had shutters in my previous home, and I must say the quality of those were not as good. I’m a very happy customer.

Gerard contacted me regarding the issue, the kind of customer service that i expect. I’m still waiting for the rest of the shutter and shades to be installed but it’s been scheduled. I must say that the quality of shutter is excellent.

Just moved into the Temecula area a couple months ago and we were looking for shutters.
We had several bids and we hired E&J Shutters to do the job. We had 15 windows. I was a little hesitant at first because their bid was alot lower then several other companies. So I went to there factory in Norco and was impressed with the quality of work. So we hired them. Our salesman Jose was faboulous. Honest and a good guy. I met the owner of the company, again honest and reputable. From start to finish every person we meet including the installers were excellent. We love our shutters and would absolutely recommend E & J Shutters to everyone. We give them a strong 5 star rating. Great Job E & J Shutters!!!

Very happy with our Shutters. E&J was about $ 1000 less than a competitor estimated. We chose the 4 inch shutters with the split and we love that we can leave the bottom closed for privacy. Alan, our sales person was great to work with and the installers did a perfect job. I also love the lifetime warranty

I was nervous because I hadn’t seen a lot of reviews. Post installation and twenty-​seven windows later, I don’t regret using E & J for one moment. From the sales side, Gerard is a character, but trustworthy and looks out for his customers’ interests. The value is incredible. I’m sure they will beat any other quote you get.
Now for the installation — best service call we’ve had since moving to CA. The crew took great care in our home, treating it with the utmost respect. The final install was flawless and you could see how much pride the crew took in their work. They were quick and efficient — with no mistakes.
The finished product is beautiful, the quality excellent, and the price was the best.

WOW! My Shutters were installed yesterday and I love them!
The installation was great… the installer knew what he was doing!
Rick (salesperson) was awesome. He was so helpful in helping visualize what I wanted. I had other estimates, two to be exact and one sales person at a local business was so arrogant, and gave me five minutes of his time and his estimate
800.00, more! I even had Rick measure for upstairs while he came and checked on installation. Very Happy!

I’m truly happy with all 10 of the custom made wood shutters installed in my home. My shutters were installed within 2 weeks from the day I placed my order because my shutters were NOT shipped from China like other companies. I had another Shutter Company from Orange County come out first and give me an estimate, but E & J Shutters beat the competitors price by $ 700.00. I will definitely recommend E & J Shutters to my family & friends.

Have had my shutters for just over a month now and we get compliments every day and love them still. All the new neighbors can’t believe the great price that we got from them. I am getting asked all the time by friends, family and neighbors for their contact info.
If you are in the market for any window coverings give them a call and give them a chance, it worked out well for me.
