I joined Unilocal specifically to write this review. I had my air ducts/​vents (14), dryer vent, chimney/​fireplace, and first level and stairs carpets cleaned last week. I work from home and had a couple of conference calls throughout the day. I could not believe with all that work and equipment, I hardly knew Jeff was here. Jeff was extremely professional, courteous, tidy and just an overall nice guy that did a great job! I was completely comfortable with him in the house all day. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend.
My only improvement recommendation is for the office staff. One of the girls did not introduce herself or the company when I called and/​or when she called me and it was a bit awkward. Donna did however on the day of the cleaning and she was quite courteous and professional. This small phone service issue had no impact on my recommendation because it had no real impact on the service, but just a small professional recommendation for the company.

Jeff the technician was very professional, knowledgeable and took time to explain the process and what to do after the vent was cleaned. He was running behind schedule and was courteous enough to call twice to ensure the appointment would be kept on his end provided it was still convenient for me. I was really amazed how efficient the service was, and the charges were what was quoted-​no add-​on or hidden fees/​costs. Also, when calling for an appointment, Debbie was very friendly and helpful-​will definitely refer to friends/​family.

Okay. We have been happy customers of Jerry Blodgett and his crews for over 2 decades, yup, for more than 20 years since we lived in the OC. We had carpet cleaning done regularly and were always happy with the results and pricing. We also had chimney sweeping and repairs done which were also done well and priced fairly.
We moved to Temecula recently and I call the local folks when they have strong reviews. This time the company I called for air duct cleaning gave me a price that made my wallet cry so I thought, «Hey, Blodgett’s is in the Inland Empire, too, not just OC!» I called them up and sure enough, $ 100 cheaper than the other guys! Plus, Jeff and Matt did a great job. I won’t need my heating and A/​C ducts cleaned very often but I’d hire the guys from Blodgett’s again in a heartbeat.
The entire process took about 2 and a half hours from start to finish and we don’t have that «burnt dust» smell blowing out of our registers when the heater kicks on.
I will probably call them again for carpet cleaning when that time comes, and if I had a wood burning fireplace I’d use them for that too.

We used their service for Chimney Sweep and Air Duct cleaning on Saturday. I told them I got a quote from other companies that do Air Duct cleaning that have a lot of other add-​on fees. They told me straight out that they don’t charge any of that, and they only charge per air vent you have! I got a quote from other 2 other companies and Blodgett’s were the cheapest and the honest one! :)
The guy Jeff came on Saturday morning and took care of the air vent and chimney in about 3.5 hours. Our house doesn’t smell bad anymore! Very happy with the service!

Called and scheduled an appointment to have my ducts and dryer vent cleaned last Thursday and they came today on time and did a great job. This was the first time I have had my ducts cleaned since I moved here 26 years ago so after a major rehab on my home last year I really needed to have this done and Blodgett did a great job. They were very through and cleaned up after themselves.

The repair person came to my house and would only clean the dryer duct from outside my house. He told me he took care of the problem and that the dryer does not need to be examined because lint does not accumulate inside the dryer mechanism. He would not even check the duct from the dryer to the wall – he did not want to move the dryer.
One month later, my dryer caught on fire. The Whirlpool Factory service people came and found that the dryer was filled with lint, which caught on fire (they took it apart). The duct from the dryer to the wall was also completely filled with lint.

I called and scheduled an appointment back in December of 2013 to have my Air Ducts cleaned. Unfortunately, I had to cancel and reschedule. The wonderful gal who originally took the appointment said she’d follow up with me in January. Heck, I had forgotten, but she didn’t! She called me and we scheduled the appointment. Casey came out to my home, he was on time, was friendly, professional and helpful in teaching me a thing or two about keeping my filter clean. I would not hesitate to refer Casey again, in fact, I already have and will continue to send him referrals. Great job, Blodggett’s. Another satisfied customer.

Not reliable. Made an appointment for a Thursday to have our chimney cleaned so that we can use our fireplace over the weekend but no one showed up. We had to call the business (instead of getting a courtesy call from them) to find out why they didn’t show up. They came up with an excuse that was unbelievable. Wasted half a day waiting for nothing.

They have fair prices and their technicians are very knowledgable and helpful. They cleaned my fireplace and I have referred them to many clients for fireplace inspections and repairs.

Casey from Blodgett’s is about as good as it gets and has represented his fine company for as many years cleaning the vents and ducts in my home. He explains what he is doing, does it well, and he amazingly cleans up after himself. Not only is Casey respectful, professional and very knowledgable, he is a genuinely super nice person. My kids and my dogs adore him… and that’s saying a lot. Blodgett’s is a quality company that responds asap to every call, always returns to rectify even the smallest detail and is just made better by extraordinary representatives such as Casey. I wholeheartedly recommend Blodgett’s to everyone needing these services.

If you buy a house and get a standard property inspection, it is probably worthless since the people doing them do not have a clue and any problem you could detect on your own if you look hard enough. After finding this out, I questioned everything in mine. Therefore I had to get the chimney properly inspected and cleaned.
A friend recommended Blodgett’s Chimney Sweep. The guy that come out was friendly. Completed the sweeping and inspected the chimney and firebox. He also recommended some improvements for use and maintenance. Overall it took around an hour.
There was no bullshit with upselling or pressuring into needing extras services. Price was $ 80 for my chimney and remember there is a $ 10 off coupon on there website.
Only down side, I thought they would be using a camera to thoroughly inspect entire chimney but no big deal.
Overall pretty happy with there service.
