I would like to say that k you to of shutters. They are an amazing company the workers are very knowlgeable in the job the do and they take a passion in it as well as helping the customer. All in all they def earned the 5 stars that I gave them. Very friendly and respectful workers they are great thank you again

I would like to say thank you to oc shutters for all they have done because when I have moved to my new place a few years ago I have been looking around for a place that can help me in picking to do my shutters. So I have looked around and I have found them sure they were far away from what I have wanted, but they did a really great job in putting this together and their price’s were very reasonable.
So I would like to thank them for everything that they have done and I will use them again when I ever move again or need upgrades. Awesome job!!!

We had our shutters done by OC Shutters in 2014 and we are a happy return customer, putting in another order for 2016. Rebecca is the owner of the company and she is very professional with the entire process — from measuring our windows to making sure the job gets installed in our home properly with her contractors. This has been our first time ordering custom plantation shutters and Rebecca explained everything very thoroughly so we knew what all our options were. When she came out to measure our windows for our second order, she went above and beyond — getting a Mr. Clean magic eraser from her car to touch up some «wax» that had seeped through on the windows. It was barely visible to me, but she noticed it and wanted to take care of it herself. The shutters that we ordered were 4″ wide, which is a larger size compared to the standard. We wanted the wider size because of our vaulted ceilings and OC Shutters was able to complete our custom order perfectly. We love how OC Shutters uses real wood. Their quality and craftsmanship is superb. The windows installed in 2014 are still looking like new, no fading/​warping/​cracking as promised by OC Shutters.
OC Shutters was referred to us by a friend who flips homes and is another happy customer of OC Shutters. And now we are happy to refer OC Shutters to any other friends/​family who ask about our shutters :) Thank you OC Shutters!

Just Moved out of my old apartment and into my new house! It seems that it didn’t have any shutters and since it’s not a private house i have neighbors across the street from me and it’s a semi-​populated area. So Shutters are a must! I read on some high quality shops that will do my new home’s shutter. They came to my house and gave me a Free estimate. And even explained the cost of everything step by step.
I’m actually pretty happy with there price and installation was really clean and quick. Got to install 6 shutters for my living room windows! Couldn’t ask for better! Highly recommend these guy’s. They made the windows of my house look amazing!

We have a rental property in OC and after our last tenants moved out, the home needed some TLC to say the least. We decided to get shutters vs. curtains as the window treatments and shopped around a bit. They came out to the home and gave us an estimate for free. We had another contractor come out as well. Orange County Shutters was competitively prices, and we simply felt more comfortable with them.
They did a super job on the home. Everything was sharp looking and professionally done. They cleaned up after themselves unlike some other contractors we had do work. It really leaves an impression on you when someone does it right — and they did. I highly recommend OC Shutters.

You don’t know how important having quality shutters are until you move into a place. As a person that works rotating shifts, keeping the sun out is a big deal. I am very thankful OC Shutters was easy to find. The staff is very friendly and they don’t try to take advantage of you.
I’ll admit I was surprised by how many options they had available. They did a great job of answering questions and making the selection process easy. It took about a month and a half to get the shutters I wanted made, but it was worth the wait.

My sisters just moved into a new condo in Westminster and the condo was kind of old school and needed some maintenance. She wanted to get some shutters installed to give the place a nice little makeover. I was helping her do some research and we came across this company.
From beginning to end this company did not drop the ball. I received a response to my first inquiry e-​mail within 24 hours. They were very helpful, and never pushy. They never seemed annoyed even though we were kind of clueless on pricing and the different options we had.
After about a week of research and decision making we ordered the products, the total turnaround time was about 6 weeks from the day we ordered until the shutters were installed. The end product was amazing. The product they installed was high quality and did not look cheap at all compared to some of the other companies who do shutters. They do business anywhere in socal, I kind of can’t wait to get my place so I can go back to them.
You will not regret doing business with these guys.

I rarely take time to write reviews, but I had such a great experience here. I just purchased a home in Buena Park with my sister and we needed shutters in the kitchen and living room.
We found Orange County Shutters online through Unilocal,and went to their website to fill out a consultation form (it was really quick/​easy). They called us that same day for a quote and were very knowledgeable about the plantation shutters we needed.
The next day their service rep arrived just before our scheduled appointment and he even brought samples of the shutters so we could make a decision.
Our final cost was really close to the estimate they gave us initially. We had perfect timing to catch their 40%off summer sale and got a great deal. They were straight up about the lead time — they had to place the order and gave us a 6 week time frame.
Almost 6 weeks later they called us and we scheduled an installation.
We had to set up the day of installation on a Saturday because of my sisters’ work schedule, and they had no trouble with working with our schedule at all. They did an awesome job, and left our home without any mess (my sister is a little obsessive about cleanliness). The shutters look absolutely fantastic in the house.
It’s always nice to see a business go above and beyond for customers. I will definitely return here next time.

This has been by far the MOST HORRIBLE experience EVER. Dorian promised me a date range before thanksgiving to get the shutters done… didn’t happen. Then… spoke to Dorian and the «owner» Rebecca about an upcoming holiday party where I was entertaining 100+ people and NEEDED TO HAVE THE SHUTTERS installed so I could remove the paper temporary shades I had up. I was told that it was 90% certain that it would not be a problem. then was told that they were backed up and it would not happen… week of Christmas they finally installed them. except for the fact that the shutters for the master bedroom were the WRONG SIZE… spoke to them again and exchanged countless emails with the owner and Rich they said it was a mistake on their part and that they would try to get them done ASAP. The installer who were there installing the shutters that were the right size said the «owner would deduct 300 dollars for the total price for the problem» which made me feel like at least they were trying to make it right… then I find out from the owner that the 300 was being taken off because the 2 wrong sized shutters would need to be redone and that I would be charged again when they were installed. WHAT? By the way, she never refunded the 300. At this point I was just beyond disgusted that they sound like a scratched record with the «i’m sorry» yet they don’t do anything to fix the issue. I was then told by Rich a month ago that my 2 shutters WOULD BE READY BY 2÷23÷15. I called yesterday on ²⁄₂₁ and Rich said that he wasn’t sure what the status was and that Dorian would call me. Dorian then calls to tell me it’s ANOTHER MONTH… THAT THE ORDER WAS ENTERED A NEW ORDER AND NOT A REDO… This has been an insanely horrible transaction from day one.
Both Dorian and Rich have told me repeatedly that «they are sorry», «yes, it seems like you were screwed up countless time from reviewing your history», «we are rightfully getting horrible Unilocal reviews», «I bet you’re going to write one as well», etc.
So now I sit here having to wait another month for the master bedroom shutters to be done.
First time I used them for my condo about 7 years ago the experience was great and that’s why I went back. This time around it’s been a nightmare.

Although I appreciate the update on my shutters, wouldn’t a phone call had been more professional rather then responding on Unilocal? I wrote a check on November 29, 2014, and still do not know when our shutters will be installed. I sure hope it’s a quality product like she insists because next week is the last week of February which means we are entering the fourth month! The amount of time spent defending her company on Unilocal would be better spent calling her customers and keeping them informed!!! Unbelievable!!!

My husband and I purchased a brand new home and wanted our window treatments done quickly. Dorian the salesman had promised that the shutters would be built and installed by Thanksgiving. Here is the time line…
We got the estimate from Dorian on October 9^th. We reviewed the estimates and got quotes from a few different companies and decided to go with OC Shutters due to the quality and their estimated installation date. Fine. We submitted the deposit on October 14^th. We had our re-​measurements done on October 17^th with a minor change to our existing order. Removing our french doors and adding a window.
I contacted Dorian on several occasions to get an update on the shutters and he kept telling me it would be 5 – 6 weeks since the date of our deposit. Okay fine. That takes me to Thanksgiving week. On November 25^th I asked again what the status of the shutters was and he finally responds that he is out of town and asks me to call their office number.
I left a voice message regarding my inquiry on the status of my shutters and I receive a text from Rebecca (the owner of the company). She basically gave me a whole bunch of reasons why the shutters are not done and promises that they will be completed by December 12^th. She says, and I quote from her text «If the estimated completion date changes we will let you know.» She seemed hostile and did not take any responsibility for her employees giving FALSE information to their clients.
I called to speak to an actual person (instead of having a texting war with Rebecca) on November 26^th. I spoke to Rich (the son of the owner). Initially he was hostile and not helpful. He kept on giving me excuses as to why the shutters are not done and why they are backed up in orders. Honestly, I don’t give a flying piece of shit why the shutters are not done. All I care about is that they are NOT done and no one has contacted me to let me know that they will not be done. At the end of the conversation he promised that the shutters would be completed by December 12^th and that he would stay on top of my order. «My file would be on his desk» according to his words, not mine. LIES LIES LIES!!!
(Okay. So here I am typing this out ON December 12^th and NO ONE has proactively contacted me to let me know that my shutters would NOT be done by December 12^th as promised by the owner.)
December 9^th, I call Rich to find out the status of my shutters. SURPRISE!!! They are NOT done and NOT even close! They have not moved in the last 2 weeks! Oh and did I mention that NO ONE contacted me to let me know about the delay? Refer to the lie from Rebecca above. So now Rich tells me that the shutters should be done December 22^nd or 23^rd. How likely am I to believe this? Not at all.
December 10^th: I call Rich again to get an update on the details of the process of making these shutters. Of the 12 step process, they had completed 4 steps and nothing has been done in the last 2 weeks. GREAT. (On this day, I came to the realization that I have to babysit this entire process myself and I decided that if I want my shutters before 2015 that I would need to call on a daily basis.)
I called every single day to get an update on the shutters. Some days, I received immediate feedback in regards to the status of the shutters and some days, I received nothing. By the fourth or fifth day, I felt Rich expected my daily call and would try to get an update on my shutters before I called. That was nice. I guess.
After babysitting the process, our shutters were completed and installed on December 23^rd. What would have happened had I not called every day?
Overall the quality is just okay. It’s not all that great and honestly, I don’t care anymore. I don’t want to have to babysit them anymore. I already have an infant and a pup of my own. I don’t need to add more unnecessary work to my life.
Obviously, I would NOT recommend using OC Shutters unless you want to babysit your shutters and the people at OC Shutters. They are not proactive. They do not communicate with their clients. Expect to get hostile responses when you are babysitting your shutters and asking about the completion date. Good luck.
It’s funny… if you comb through any sites like Unilocal and talkirvine, you’ll see that Rebecca and Rich are always responding to negative reviews. They really should take more time to do their actual jobs than babysitting reviews and responding to them with excuse after excuse. Take a look for yourself. I’m just sayin…

I had 14 plantation shutters installed in my home this year. We did it in 2 separate orders. The first order for half of the windows came in fine.
The second half were not. They were constructed in such a way that the window could NEVER open. Weird I know. They realized their mistake quickly and ordered new shutters made.
The important part is– they took care of it and believe in customer service.
The shutters look great, and I couldn’t be happier.

I purchased shutters from OC shutters in August of 2013. Dorian was the designer who came out and helped me place my order. He was quite knowledgeable about the shutters and helped me with my order. He knew that I was not a fan of poles on shutters, so he explained the other type I could order. Yes, they were a bit more in price but it was what I wanted. I had two windows and two sliders installed with the shutters and I can say I love them!
Dorian that the orders would take between six to seven weeks before installation because they have their own manufacturing company and it takes longer.
It took over the estimated time and I finally did get the shutters installed. I am not giving the company a five star rating because I was the one that had to keep contacting the company about the delivery and an issue that had to be fixed.
The one panel that had to be fixed almost took eight months to solve the problem. No one else could see the problem, but I believe it needed to be changed and so did the OC Shutters.
I love that my shutters are wood and are made in the USA, just like Dorian told me.
If I ever need shutters again, I will purchase them from OC Shutters.

This company is THE BEST, and if you need shutters and/​or horizontal blinds, this is the ONLY company to contact.
Before they installed shutters and blinds in my home, I did a great deal of research. The workmanship is excellent, and the installers were on time, friendly and very professional.
The ability of Dorian Ruiz — design, people skills, very fair price, everything across the board — is top-​notch and world-​class. On top of that, he’s a nice guy.
If I could, I’d give Dorian and his company 10 stars out of 5!

I had Orange Co. Shutters make and install custom plantation shutters for all my windows and two sliders in my condo. I opted for the ²⁄₃ — ¹⁄₃ shutters configuration (where the bottom two-​thirds opens and closes independently from the top third).
Rebecca came out not only measured my windows to perfection and presented me with options and samples, but gladly answered every question I threw at her (and I had a lot of questions!). She is very knowledgeable.
The installers were very professional and took the utmost care of my walls/​windows when installing the shutters. A few months later, I called to have them come out and do some small adjustments to a couple of shutters and they gladly obliged – at no charge.
I highly recommend Orange Co. Shutters.

Customer service is an A+ at this small business. They provided an abundance of selection of different shutters in most sizes and shapes. Very honest folks when they tried to cater to my needs. My house looks beautiful now, and the best part is waking up in the morning to the sun not glooming on my face. Again, thanks Rebecca!

Orange County Shutters called me last week to set up my appointment to get my broken shutter fixed (broken on installation). They came on time as they told me and fixed the broken shutter after over a year wait.

Here’s why they get 5 stars:
1. The products that they delivered are great in quality (They fit great, colors match and the assembly is sturdy).
2. They were very helpful when it came to finally having them installed in my house.
3. Very easy to operate. It goes up or down to close. Not much else to it.
4. Prices were great. I believe in paying for what I get so if I have to spend an extra dollar or two to get better shutters than the off the shelf items I’m willing to pay for it.
5. No complaints nor any defects that I can see with my human eyes.
6. Two thumbs up!
I got the memo that the shutters were going to take a good time frame to be made since they are all custom made to fit your housing needs. I was aware of that and the order was made. So time was not an issue for me.

I had a really great experience with OC shutters. Reasonable price and on time. Shutters do take time to be made (6 – 8 weeks) but are well worth the wait. Rebecca’s recommendations for the moulding type and the way they would be built ended up looking great in the house. Each of our windows are built slightly differently but they were able to make all the windows match each other. I love that we were able to get solid wood shutters that were locally made.
When the shutters arrived they fit perfectly and were installed effortlessly. I am a stickler for perfect measurements and they were up to par. I would definitely bring them back to cover more windows in my house.
