Samadhi for Peace

I can not express the amount of gratitude that I have for Jona. Back in November I did a free week at the yoga studio that she teaches meditation at. I instantly felt an immense connection with Jona and was truly blessed that she «introduced» me to meditation.
After taking a few meditation classes at Ra Yoga (highly recommend both the studio and Jona’s meditation classes), I was so impacted by Jona and her teachings that I signed up for her 3-​day Empowerment Series. The Empowerment Series «helped you align your energy, reach your goals and shine more brightly than you ever imagined possible». This course was so powerful I can not even begin to put it in words. After that class I thought to myself «how much more inspiring can this women be in my life», and then I took her Crystal Healing Workshop on 2÷22÷2015 :)
WOW! The Crystal Workshop was indescribable. Jona puts her heart and soul not only into her crystals but to each of her students. She hand selected seven crystals and placed them on our bodies to balance our Chakras. This course literally left me astounded. Today, three days later I feel grounded, amazed, and clear-​minded.
Evidently, through my meditation classes and courses, I am beyond thankful to Jona. She is hands down one of the most inspiring and influential person that I have had in my life, and I have so much gratitude toward her. I can not wait to take my next course with her!!!

I had the opportunity to attend a Crystal Healing Workshop with Jona on Sunday, ⁰²⁄₂₂.
In the first part of the workshop we learned about types of crystals, their various vibrations/​energies, and how to care for them; during the second part we lied down on our mats; Jona stood over us individually and, using her ability to sense energy levels, proceeded to hand select appropriate crystals to help balance our Chakras. Six crystals were set upon our bodies (one on our mats above our heads) and we remained still for several minutes while the crystals’ energies permeated our bodies — an amazing experience which left me speechless.
Jona continues to help me on my life-​long journey of transformation into my ideal self.

Jona is one of the most amazing and inspiring people I have ever met. I hAve suffered from severe anxiety for most of my life, and when I met Jona it was to the point the anxiety was causing me physical pain. After a few weeks of 1 – 1 sessions, I began to notice slight differences and found myself being able to react to things differently. After a few months, I lost my job which before I met Jona would have sent me into panic mode and caused me to take the first offer I received whether or not it was the right opportunity. Because of my sessions with her, I was able to see the positive side of things, and realize this was an opportunity to explore what I wanted next and to really evaluate things properly. Because I was more relaxed I was able to make some tough, but wonderful choices for my future. The entire time I felt she was compassionate, supportive, and offered herself as a sounding board to me.
I have taken a few weeks off from our sessions because I made a decision to move and start some new things, but I’m looking forward to starting again and making more progress.
I would encourage anyone that has the opportunity to spend time and take a class or work with Jona one on one. It really made a huge difference in my life and has been the most positive experience.

Jona’s inspiration, energy, and selfless love served as the catalyst that helped me come to peace, resolution, and healing — especially during a tumultuous time in my life. Her healing allowed for me to step back into my meditation practice and her meditative guidance allowed for me to thrive.
Regardless the time in one’s life or the medium through which Jona engages (energy healing, meditation, etc), there will be light.

Jona is truely an amazing soul… very few people can access their healing powers. However, Jona can and it is life changing. Empowerment series and meditation classes with Jona have profoundly impacted my life for the Better. So glad to have Jona’s loving presense guide me.

I wanted to do this Unilocal review a little different than I typically do, just because of how much Jona has touched my life. This review is going to be more like a personal thank-​you to Jona, as well as a public testimony of how her connection with universal energy has affected my life and my practice as a massage therapsit.
I have some really exciting news to share with you. I am 25 days into the New Year and have successfully cut out all marijuana use as of the first of the year. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, but my inability to regulate the use especially for sleep had become a problem that I have been trying to resolve for quite some time. Practicing Reiki and doing my Gassho meditations has been extremely effective for calming me in the evening time, as well as grounding myself in the mornings for the day to come. I have not practiced the Reiki every single day, but I am practicing it more days than not. Between the intermittent practice and my other current budgeting goals, I am going to have to pass on this month’s Reiki 2 certification. I also apologize for not being more involved with our group on Facebook, I am just a more off-​the-​grid type of person but I look forward to connecting with our group’s individuals either personally or at Reiki share events in the near future.
I know that I am going to take the Reiki level 2 certification with you in the future, and I cannot express my gratitude enough for your compassion as a human being and your dedication to what you do. I am also looking forward to an opportunity in the future to attend a Reiki share, so far most of the dates I have been in San Diego or have had other commitments but that is on my radar as well. My massage therapy practice is growing and improving, and I am using energy clearing before and after each client and noticing the results. I’m not sure if it is possible to experience «no drain» physically with work that is as intensive as the type of massage that I do, it just involves a lot of strength and repetitive movements, but I do know that working from the place of pure intention that we discussed and knowing that I am not working alone brings down the wear and fatigue significantly, and makes things much more manageable. I am sure I will be reaching out within the next month or so to come in and do a healing session with you, I really enjoy your work and your presence and it is only a matter of getting my budget and priorities aligned with the new year.

I cannot pin point how Jona has helped me other than to say, I no longer feel like I’m holding onto the negative things that keep me from progress. Negativity still arises, but I am so much more equipped now to see it for what it is and let it go. I highly recommend her.

My boyfriend and I had never tried meditating before we had some classes with Jona. She made meditating very accessible, and I loved that she teaches in a way that never felt religious but was coming at it from a very scientific point of view. I’ve always believed that the mind has the power to heal, and it was always interesting to learn from Jona about some of the studies that have shown the health benefits of meditating.
Jona proved great at both leading us in long quiet stretches of meditation as well as guided «active» meditations, that I think of more as «visualizations». Her prompts are always just enough to bring me back from wandering, or to really help me see what she is prompting us to see. A particular favorite meditation we’ve done with Jona is one in which we visualize our benefactors. Always makes me smile to sit and really focus on the faces and smiles of folks I haven’t seen in a long time, and won’t see again in this lifetime.
Long story short, I’ve been trying other meditation teachers just for the sake of knowing what all is out there, possibility-​wise and style-​wise, but after trying perhaps 6 other teachers at this point, I appreciate that Jona taught us well, lol, in everything from how to sit, to the concepts underlying some of the practices. We’re learning the same types of things from other people, but Jona’s teaching style, warmth and personality really set her apart. I look forward to meditating with her again in the future. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

I have become interested in Taoism as a life philosophy where meditation is a pillar to embracing the Tao. I had done a fair amount of reading regarding meditation techniques, but had not sought out a class and was never sure if I was doing the right thing and was unsure if what I was experiencing was correct.
Then I connected with Jona. Although Jona teaches from a Buddhist perspective, she has been extremely respectful and supportive in my pursuit of learning around Taoism as she recognizes that it is what is right for me. She has been an excellent coach and sounding board around meditation. I have participated in one of her introductory classes and utilized several of her web based resources to help me in my practice.
If you are truly interested in pursuing a life changing journey for the better, there is no one better than Jona to help guide you.

The new light in my life is definitely a woman by the name of Jona Genova. I was looking for a Reiki teacher to complete my certification after many, many years of not completing my training. But one day I was thinking of the quote «ask and you shall receive». So, I posted on facebook asking if anyone knew of a good Reiki Master that I could train with. I then get a private message from a friend and that is how I heard about Samadhi for Peace and the wonderful works of Jona. Although Samadhi for Peace isn’t focused on just Reiki, I enjoyed reading about Jona’s goals and visions. Jona and I then talked on the phone about what I wanted to accomplish and we immediately hit it off. She was extremely open, understanding, easy to talk to, gentle and yet as sharp as a knife in terms of her intellect. She knew exactly what I was going for.
I had Jona over for two amazing days that seemed to feel like minutes. I could talk and work with Jona forever and I would have been ever so happy to do so. I got my Reiki attunement and had a great refresher course on my previous levels. We did different kinds of meditations for different exercises. We cleansed my home and it feels so wonderful to walk into it now. I was reborn after these two days. And now I have a brand new direction.
