History

Established in 2005.

Night & Day Productions began in 2005 by Jennifer Miranda. Her vision was to provide California with one-​stop staffing service that saves customers time and energy as they plan an upcoming event. Jennifer has built the company from a team of two, to a roster of highly trained event professionals that are on-​call daily, allowing our customer flexibility in choosing their staff and providing staff to hundreds events each year.

Jennifer began in the service industry at an early age, helping her parents dealing for their casino rental company. She took a larger role in the company as she grew older. Working in the office she received repeated requests for bartenders and servers. Jennifer realized how hard it was for people to find reliable service staff. Night & Day Productions was born, first centralized in Los Angeles and Orange County, Night & Day now services all of California and Las Vegas. Jennifer was VERY helpful with coordinating and deciding how many people we needed and she was very quick and responsive. Every server I spoke with very friendly and they did a great job. Cynthia was are bartender for my friends engagement party. She was fabulous! Days after the event people were still talking about her. She was fun and approachable She made custom signs for our signature drinks and brought extra fruits for garnishes that make drinks extra special!
This was are second time using Night and Day. They did our wedding a couple years back and were great as well. We had a bartender and a server and everyone felt attended to.
Any big event I host I will always come back!

I am going to be totally honest with you, bride-​to-​be: PLEASE save yourself the heartache of working with this company. The servers that serviced our October wedding were extremely nice but lacked the necessary service skills for an event like a wedding. I feel awful writing a bad review but I will go ahead and give you a quick rundown of the issues that we ran into with Night & Day:
–I provided an hour-​by-​hour schedule of everything that needed to get done throughout the event. The staff didn’t seem to use these instructions because many things went wrong. Night and Day will tell you that there is a LEAD for the event. Trust me, there was not. They had no idea what to do and they did the least work possible during the event.
–The welcome drinks were not put out for guests upon arrival.
–We had two bars and one was not set up until we asked them to do so. Our guests had to wait in a longgg line — exactly what we wanted to avoid when purchasing 2 bars!
–Nothing was refilled during cocktail hour. We had cheese plates, fruit plates, nut bowls, candy bowls, etc. The staff would stand around talking and had to be asked every time to refill things. We went home with a LOT of food because nothing was refilled.
–The staff would sit in the back room and drink the wine for the event. We can actually see this quite a bit in the background of our wedding video.
–They seemed a bit buzzed by the end of the night and were dancing on the dance floor.
–One server blantantly tried to kiss one of our guests that had too much to drink.
–They opened up EVERY bottle of alcohol at the venue and then asked to take the unused alcohol home at the end of the event because «it would go bad.»
Honestly, I would think twice about contracting with this company but if you decide to, PLEASE make sure you put the following in the agreement:
–a clause that keeps the bartenders from opening alcohol until absolutely necessary (saving you hundreds of dollars)
–a clause that ENSURES you have a lead server at the event — someone that can ride the staff to make sure everything gets done.

NO SHOW — Booked them for a Party, the week of the party I called them several times with no return calls. Finally 6 days after the party they emailed that they were sorry.
There are several other services out there, and I would encourage you to try someone else.

So I have to say I was very disappointed with the lack of service we received and also the lack of response in response to our letter of the issues we have had with this company. Our next steps will be seeing what we can to get a response. I would skip this company knowing what I do now about their level of ‘service’.
1. There staff was giving out their numbers to not only my guests, but high school students (this is the ONLY matter they resolved in our emails)
2. They forgot about us, the bride and groom.
3. They didn’t pass out cake (we’ve heard from over half our guests they didn’t get cake) and we bought a cake for 200 people, but only had about 130 guests.
4. Our list of stuff we provided was not done.
5. They forgot the bride and groom. I have to put this one down again because we were ASSURED from Jennifer and Erin that we would NOT be forgotten. We would have a server with us at ALL times. This was a flat out lie. We got food and then anytime we TRIED to find their servers to get us anything they were no where to be found.
6. Their bartenders were the only helpful ones when we went up.
7. Their response in all of our inquires has been a back handed response and when we’ve tired to follow up it’s been over THREE weeks now from THREE emails to them. We’ve sent to both Jennifer and Erin and both have ignored our emails.
8. We were suppose to have food out for the bridal team when they got back from the ceremony, NOTHING was out and we had to beg them to stop and get US food. No water, no drinks, NOTHING. I feel horrible knowing that the people we asked to be in our wedding didn’t even have food out. Again, we were assured and promised by Jennifer and Erin this would happen and had I, the bride, not stopped someone to even get us something to eat, it would not have happened. No one bothered to come in and get our drink order while we did our pictures. Again, stuff promised and didn’t happen.
We spent A LOT of money on things in our wedding that were simply forgotten about. If I knew then I didn’t need to buy all this stuff (that we wanted to be used) I could have saved myself over $ 1000. So keep that in mind when you are booking through these guys. They make a lot of promises, and don’t follow up on them.
Just looked at some reviews and them disappearing seems to be a common theme. Guess our next step is legal.

We found Night and Day productions when we came to the realization that we would need service staff for our wedding of 50. We really wanted our guests to feel well taken care of, and it took the pressure off of ours shoulders as far as setting up and breaking down our very DIY wedding.
Jennifer was my contact at NDP, and she was always fast to respond to my questions and patient with our crazy timeline. We ended up hiring two servers and a banquet captain for our buffet style wedding, and one bartender for our wine and sangria bar — more on our coordinator later! She recommended the right number of staff based on our needs, and everything was flawless. The servers actually went out of their way to find me and my groom and make sure we had food and drinks — and I know they did the same for our guests. The ladies and gentleman who ended up working our wedding were incredibly friendly and professional, not to mention affordable.
Less than a week before our wedding, I quickly came to the realization (with lots of prompting from my then fiancé) that I, nor my groom — or maid of honor was going to be able to coordinate day of. In an effort to save money, I told myself that it just wasn’t something we needed — that we could DIY that part too! After seriously considering the list of day of duties (place all of the tabletop décor, queue the music and me for my walk down the aisle, lead guests, point to the bathrooms, coordinate with arriving vendors and direct them to set up areas, set up cake cutting, set up and breakdown décor items, move gifts to our room, handle cash for tips and emergencies) — I made the call to Jennifer and prayed she could get someone on such short notice (1 week) to be our DOC. Enter Britney, who (for a very reasonable price too) did all of the above effortlessly and with a smile on her face! I credit the seamlessness of our wedding day to her entirely, there were a few mini disasters along the way which I was of course not made privy to until after (another sign of a great coordinator) that she handled like a champ. Although the wind was pretty magical, it was also pretty destructive as far as our décor was concerned (and my veil too), she got creative and secured everything to the tables and made sure my runner stayed in place. I could seriously go on and on… Hire a Day of Coordinator, hire service staff and use NDP!

We had one of the best Thanksgiving Holidays ever thanks to Night & Day Productions and our wonderful waiter, Domonic Gregio. I can’t begin to tell you all the wonderful things that Domonic did to make our day so special. He was personable, made everyone completely comfortable, and was an amazing professional waiter. He arrived promptly, was very efficient, and left the kitchen spotless. I highly recommend Night & Day Productions for any event you may be planning. I had a bartender come for my friend’s bachelorette party from this company, I was really happy!
The bartender was nice, extremely helpful. and the process was really easy. The only complaint was the bartender was not the one we chose from the «line-​up.» It was just a little surprising, but I spoke with the company and they explained the whole reason why. We were really happy with the customer service provided by our bartender and the booking staff!

Coordinating to get two servers at my intimate wedding was as easy as it gets. The price that was quoted to me was exactly what I was charged (and it was quite affordable too in my opinion). One of the servers greatly exceeded my expectations, while the other flirted with my best friend’s brother a bit too much, but she mostly did her job. I am still giving five stars because the first server was basically the VIP of my event.

I worked with Night & Day for my Labor Day wedding and had a great experience. I needed waitstaff and servers initially, and was very impressed with the bartender as well. Night & Day really came through when my original bartender backed out at the last minute and provided me with someone great.
They are very easy to work with and at a reasonable price. Night & Day did an amazing job coordinating with my venue in Long Beach. Without them, my day would not have gone as smoothly as it did!
I would definitely work with Night & Day on any future events.

This is the second time my partner and I have used Night & Day productions for a house party. Alex (our bartender) and Joe (our server) did a fantastic job last Saturday; they were professional, friendly and worked very diligently to make sure all of our 60+ guests were tended to throughout the evening. This was the second time we had the pleasure of working with Alex (the first was 5 stars also) and the first time with Joe. I highly recommend Night and Day as they are easy to work with and gave us several options for bartenders and servers to choose from. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

WARNING!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!
I made the mistake of not looking up their reviews and have now learned what happened to me at our son’s birthday is a HABIT for them!
I booked with them 5 months before the event. When it came time to booking and collecting deposits they hounded me. After that they just disappeared.
I was told I was being sent a female bartender name Lyndee. I asked to see her picture to make sure she fit our event.
Day of our event a lady who looked like she walked off the street showed up 20 minutes late. Had a very bad attitude. Then said she had to do her makeup and left for another 20 minutes. We were throwing a Luau and asked our bar host to wear a tropical outfit. I still can’t figure out what she was wearing.
By the time she put on her makeup she was so behind at the bar and never caught up for the entire event.
During my party is was brought to my attention she was very very rude to my guests. Rude to my husband who was trying to help her. She had no idea how to mix drinks. The ingredients the owner Jennifer told me to buy for Mai Tais were not even used.
Regardless I tipped her at the end of the event. Later I found out she also took at tip from my brother in law and what really made me mad is what she PUT OUT A TIP JAR after I left the bar area and collected tips from my guests. THIS WAS A PRIVATE PARTY!!! These were my guests!!! They should not be asked to tip anyone at a party!!! She did not ask if she should put out a tip jar. She collected a lot of money and walked out of our event.
Since I have been trying to contact the owners Jennier and Erin from the company and no one has returned my emails or calls for 4 days.
Consider yourself lucky if you are reading this review. I just saved you from allowing an unprofessional and terrible company from being a part of an event you are spending time and money to put together. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!

The bartender arrived a half an hour late to our event. He appeared to be disorientated and may have been drunk or drugging before he came. The bartender didn’t bother to pour but instead handed out cans and bottles of soda and beer, leaving behind boxes of unused cups. He did not mention or promote the specialty drinks we offered. The bartender also accepted tips even though I prepaid the gratuity. It’s clear that Night & Day Productions hires free-​lance bartenders and do not screen very well. I am very unhappy with my experience with Night and Day Productions, and I would not recommend them. :(

Night & Day Productions provides our sorority with servers for our Chapter Night dinner for approximately 130 – 150 women. The servers sent over to help us have been very pleasant and professional. Their time frame is a quick turnaround from set up to table clearing and they have all accomplished this in an efficient way.
Jennifer has been very accommodating to work with and she has been available to help us with our additional needs. We are very pleased with this organization.

My husband hired this company for my 30th birthday party and we had a blast!!! Evan was our bartender, he showed up on time and he was very well prepared. He was sooooo nice and funny and made us amazing drinks!!! Very professional and very quick to prepare our drinks! My guests and I were very pleased with him! I will grant them one star for eventually sending an emailing «explaining» why they didn’t get back to me in a professional or timely manner to let me know that the person I hired two days previous was actually going to be a no-​show.
quick story. I had a bartender hired for a party well in advance… That bartender had to cancel and did so well over a week before the party. I put all my feelers out, searching for another one. Night and Day was referred to me through another event company (Gig Salad). I was elated to hear that yes, in fact, Night and Day DID have a bartender for my event… even went so far to detail his attire, what he’d bring with him, what barware, etc… The MOMENT I heard back from them I responded in email, per their request, to confirm the location of the event. I simply also asked if the person had a photo (I had requested a Chippendale «type» guy) ((I had a valid reason)) and to remind them of the time and that I was «anxious» to get it confirmed.
Nothing…crickets…nada… for two days. Nothing. Did I have a bartender? Who knew? Several emails… several voice mails… even finally went to their FaceBook page… SAW that there had been activity so I knew the company didn’t explode or anything (in my opinion, the ONLY valid excuse for not calling a customer back)
I implored them, anyone… to please get ahold of me… left number (s), requested text, email… anything. I just needed to know if I had a bartender or not. Day of event… MIDDAY…an email. «Sorry, but we have no one». Yet, two days previously, you did and I went ahead a planned around that idea.
Well, since I AM a professional… I always plan for emergencies and was prepared to re-​think and re-​set the party to be a non tended bar. Big let down for the guests though…
oh…AND… the excuse of dental emergency didn’t float for me. There are at least a dozen different ways to communicate in this day in age without the use of your mouth.

I hired 2 casino dealer girls for NYE. The girls knew the games, were friendly, patient with guests who didn’t know how to play, and they were cutie pies. We were able to pay to keep them an extra hour as well. Jennifer, one of the owners was great at communicating with me, and was very organized. Highly recommend.
