History

Established in 1949.

Crown Ace Hardware is a family-​owned and operated chain that got its beginning in 1949 as a single «mom and pop» hardware store in Corona del Mar. The name is derived from the community itself. Translated from Spanish, Corona del Mar means «Crown of the Sea.»

Owners Jeff Schulein and his son Mark have expanded into additional communities, and now proudly operate 17 Crown Ace Hardware stores in Orange County, San Diego County, Riverside, Yucaipa, and Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
