The owner is so sweet and a lovely guide for this very relaxing boat tour around Newport harbor. The information she provides is interesting and we loved the relaxing music. I would recommend this to anyone in Newport whether you have lived here for years or are just visiting for the weekend. It is a great way to see the harbor. We will definitely be going back out when our relatives come to visit

It is incredible to just sit, relax, chat, eat, drink and have Pam as your Captain– no driving here. We recently chartered a Newport Harbor cruise with Watts On The Harbor. My wife and I invited 2 couples to join us. It was a great time! Pam and her husband run the service, and Pam was our boat captain. She was very knowledgeable regarding the local history of Newport Beach, and the Harbor. They provide some light snacks and soft drinks. You can bring things on board as well. Pam picked us up at spot that had plenty of parking, so getting there and leaving was a breeze. This was a fun, and relaxing, 2 hour tour that my wife and would highly recommend to all!

What a horrible experience! If you want to have fun I strongly advise not booking with this company. Pam, the owner, drives the boat and it is like being with your strictest, most uptight teacher from high school! She was very rude, made us feel completely uncomfortable and basically ruined our experience! I rent Duffy boats all the time and for much cheaper. Other companies allow double the people and charge far less. She has a groupon rate but then forces you to tip her on the full rate of $ 500! So now your tipping the person who ruined your party! She controls where you go and god forbid you spill a drink! She basically doesn’t want you to drink, laugh, eat or have fun. If I can save one person from this horrible experience I will be happy!

I originally considered whether or not to rent a duffy boat which would have been less expensive. But I did not want to drive it. I wanted to visit with my family and look at the beautiful houses/​scenery.
On June 12^th we took this boat tour of Newport Harbor. It was much more relaxing and enjoyable to take Pam’s tour. Parking was plentiful and it was close to where the boat was docked. Pam was right on time and her boat was well maintained and cute. She had cold drinks waiting for us and a few snacks (crackers, carrots, dip, cookies). Her dip was delicious. In addition, she played nice music during the tour. We had opted to bring our own lunch along. What better place to have a picnic than on a boat while touring the harbor? Pam was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time!
We look forward to taking her tour again in the future! Maybe accompanied by wine and cheese in the late afternoon?

Amazing experience for my daughters 13^th birthday with her friends and also celebrated my birthday with my friends too! Everybody loved it and I highly recommend Pam coz’ shes knowledgable about the island and she makes you feel relaxing!

Pam was a friendly and knowledgeable captain for our cruise. She provided tasty snacks, bottled water and soda. We could have bright our own beer or wine, but forgot. Our party of 6 had a delightful time comfortably exploring Newport Harbor. We saw sea lions, swans, egrets and pelicans. Highly recommended!

Somebody thought my 1−30−15 review was funny? Probably the owner PAM. She thinks she can pull a fast one with the so-​called deals she offers at various websites. I voted with my pocketbook and said no way!!!

I purchased a Groupon for $ 99 for a 2 hour cruise. I made an appointment with Pam and gave her my voucher number. I was told to meet by a flag pole at 9:45. Pam was a no show. We kept calling the number provided and our calls were not answered. I got a call 30 minutes after our appointment saying to reschedule and she was very sorry she missed our appointment. Also, there is an additional $ 50 gratuity charge on the main price and not the discounted groupon price.

We’ve taken 2 harbor cruises w Pam at Watts on the Harbor and the second was even better than the first! Our first was lunchtime in July and our second was a sunset cruise in November. (Sunset was GORGEOUS!!!)
She is amazing, her Duffy boat cute, clean and comfy and the cruise is just perfect. It’s relaxing and you get to see a side of Newport Beach you wouldn’t normally get to see. The information Pam shares of the area, the boats, businesses, hotels/​clubs, restaurants and homes is so interesting. The the flies by — but in a relaxing way.
We found her via a Groupon and she even honored that rate for the second cruise we took! How generous is that!!!
We went in November because we had a friend from Ohio visiting. Pam called a friend at the Cannery Restaurant and got us an amazing view table, with complimentary dessert! It was a PERFECT afternoon/evening…one our visitor (and us too!) will never forget. Thank you so much, Pam!

This is the second trip this year. The most recent being October 25, 2014. Pam is amazing. The boat cruise and her narrative make this trip extra special.
Pam had snacks for everyone. It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time sipping wine and taking in the scenery. Highly recommend Pam and her Crew.

I planned this trip for our office «Summer Outing.» We all had a great time! The boat was clean and well appointed with fresh flowers, cheese & crackers and cookies. We enjoyed the trip around the harbor and our captain Teri entertained us with facts regarding the boats in the harbor, it’s history, geography, local facts, and information on the beautiful bay front homes and their owners. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. I would recommend to anyone in the local area or guests visiting from out of town. I can’t wait to go on my next voyage!

Worst Attitude from Pam (manager) and service experience EVER! Made a reservation and was told that I had to pay her the gratuity right away. Fifty bucks before we even used their service — we will clearly stay with Duffy rentals !
Pam send me a response recently and said obviously we did not take the cruise. Well dohhhh I never said we did in my review. Read lady!!! YOU WANTEF TIP MONEY UPFRONT BASED ON A CRAZY AMOUNT OF $ 538 or something like that. When is the last time you went to a restaurant and paid your gratuity upfront before you eat.
She is crazy. Please go away Pam. Your business model SUCKS!

Loved this cruise! It was a girls night out and Terri was our captain. She gave us the royal tour of Newport Harbor. She have us so many trivia facts and fun stories! We loved it! They had appetizers and sodas and even a fresh flower centerpiece on the table! Highly recommend this! You will not be disappointed!

I have never written a review. I have taken the time to sign up and compose this in hopes of sparing another family from dealing with this unethical business.
I read all the reviews prior to purchasing my Groupon. Sadly, I did not see the insanity which would ensue. Let me preface this by saying this was supposed to be a Fathers Day gift. I can afford the cost of $ 99 and a gratuity defined as: «something given voluntarily or beyond obligation usually for some service; especially»… When I called Pam Goode the Owner I was surprised to find the business number to be her cell phone. We discussed the service and I inquired about 7 passengers in my party being that the Groupon is for 6. She assured me her boat has a capacity for 12 and that we can fit but her license is only for 6. Great! She did mention «everything is included but gratuity, I can take cash or credit card. 10% of the full retail value is $ 50». Ok, strange and poor business practice to be so focused on a tip when we haven’t even begun the service. Nonetheless I figured she was just being thorough. I looked up her «full retail value’
and based my prepared tip on that amount.
So we show up and from the beginning there was something a little off putting with Pam. Just a lack of warmth and friendliness. She instructed us to arrive @ 2:45pm in which we were early and she herself did not arrive at said time. Fine, let that go. Then she asks if «all those people are coming», huh? Why would we be here if we were not coming? She says, «her captain will not go for this, it’s thousands of thousands of dollars fined» I reference our conversation and she claims, «I recall our conversation and we did talk about it but we never agreed to it». So a member of our party was forced to stay behind due to this. Fine, ok moving on. Hors d’œuvre consist of ½ a roll of Ritz and some sour cream type dip… Fine ok, we brought our own food. Cruise goes on and at times Pam would just start blabbing over us and we would have to cease our conversation to listen to her exclaiming how she’s «stalked him for 12 years» Fine ok, everyone is different. Moving on… Here’s the highlight***
We give Pam the gratuity in cash and she proceeds to count it right in front of us! She then goes on to reiterate the «full retail value of $ 534» and that she told me this over the phone and we are bound by Groupon to give her $ 50. Rude to say the least. We were sitting down at the table as she stood over us blocking the exit. We were about to give her more to be fair when I explained to her that gratuity is not a law. It’s a choice and you cannot tell me what I am to tip you. She proceeded to throw the money back on the table telling us if we were poor we needed it more than her. She then ripped her business cards out of our hands quite literally telling us to «get off!!» and she «never wants to see us again!!!» We asked her to please move so we can leave. Do you really think we are going to market her business by handing out her business cards and referring her to others? Do you really think we will return for this great service? We have never been told what to tip and been kicked out. We have traveled around the world and even in foreign countries with severe language barriers we have never been thrown out and demeaned it such a way. These positive reviews are a result of people giving her what she wants and falling victim to her pathetic badgering and domineering practice. If you really want $ 150 just make the Groupon $ 150. Needless to say this is one Father’s Day experience we will not forget and I implore you to look elsewhere if you do not appreciate being abused. It’s called principle Pam.

Wow. Just wow… Worst service EVER. Honestly. Please scroll down and read the hidden «not recommended reviews» to understand the service here. If I could give negative stars, I would. Bought a groupon deal and was severely misled.
When the tour was complete, Pam demanded we tip her $ 50, claiming we were bound by groupon to pay her the «full value» of the tour, $ 534. We got the groupon for $ 99 for a small Duffy boat 2-​hr tour. Seriously?! There is no way that this little tour was actually worth $ 534. In fact, Her direct website only prices the tour at $ 160. The claimed $ 534 full value is a gimmick designed to get her the $ 50 tip. The «hor d’ouevres» were half a roll of ritz crackers.
When we explained to Pam that gratuity is optional and we are not required to tip $ 50, she yelled at us and told us that she never wanted to see us again. She threw our tip back at us, and said, «If this is all you could afford, you need it more than I do.» Needless to say, We gladly took our tip back. She even snatched back the business cards she handed to us seconds earlier.
I am just completely shocked by the terrible service.

One of our good friends ordered a tour package online… like two years ago. She finally got everyone in our group to agree on a date and Pam, the owner/​operator graciously extended the expiration date on the deal. We packed up sweatshirts, an ice chest full of beer, wine and champagne and some snacks and headed to Newport.
A lot of places around here offer Duffy boat rentals where you drive yourself. Reviewers from other places either loved it or reported horror stories of lost deposits, crashes into other boats or simply struggling with the controls. For us, however, we loved the fact that we could sit, drink, snack and get a guided tour from Pam. She drove her boat and offered us glimpse of the entire harbor area letting us know who owned which house, how land leases work and the history behind many of the areas. She was polite, very knowledgable and knew when to just let us talk amongst ourselves. When we would point to a home, she would perk up and tell you who used to own it, who owns it now, when it was sold and how much it’s worth. It really was a blast, very relaxing and a great value. With the online deal, it was $ 99 for two hours, divided by three couples. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday sunset with good friends.
