Specialties

Private Lessons: Each of our lessons are catered to the individual student as we understand that everyone learns differently.

We cover rudiments, orchestral percussion, latin, jazz, funk and rock studies of all levels and whatever the student may be interested in learning. We make sure that all of our students are able to read music and learn whatever is needed to be the best drummer they can be.

Percussion Ensembles:

Our percussion ensembles meet once a week for rehearsal at the studio. We currently have group ensembles for student 5yrs-adult. All ensembles learn how to play steel drums as well as work on pieces that involve hand drums, hand held percussion instruments and also «found objects» such as buckets and car break drums.

In March of 2008, Zach Field Drum Studios moved to the Newburyport location where there was more space for the studio to grow.

The studio has four drumset rooms and an ensemble room. Each drumset room is equipped with two complete drumsets, one for the teacher and one for the student. The drum rooms have computers in them that enables the teachers to access the music program, Rhapsody. Rhapsody is a web-based program that allows the teachers to access millions of artists and songs, instantly, www.rhapsody.com.
