Cheap, tasty chinese food. Hits the spot when drunk or just want an americanized chinese dinner. Very fast delivery.

The first time I ordered from here, I was quite satisfied. It was cheap, fast, and pretty tasty. It satisfied my Chinese food craving. The second time I ordered… I almost threw up. When I lifted the container and put it back down, I noticed I had hair and some unidentified goop on my finger. I thought maybe MAYBE it came from my table or something — and I was hungry so I took a few bites. Something smelled a little off and I found another small hair inside the food. I immediately tossed it out. Never again.

We ordered from here a few times. The latest order was tasting fine until I found a dead fly halfway through my chicken and broccoli. They promptly sent over a new order, but needless to say, I’m not all that interested anymore. Mediocre food I can deal with… but flies? That’s a no-no in my book.

If you want REAL Chinese food, do not go here! Really bad American Chinese food. Had the worst tofu I have ever eaten. As my Chinese husband said«no wonder Americans hate tofu». Go to Grand Sichuan on the UWS instead.

They are seriously LUCKY Unilocal MAKES you give at least 1 star. SEAMLESS(the site i LOVE to hate) Let me order until 10:45 so i assumed you know its fine to order delivery at 10:30. Right? WRONG. I then called to add a soda the person i spoke to on the phone was fine with it never said anything about what time they close. Then the DELIVERYMANCOMES… DUNDUNDUN… pounds on my door… its now 11:30… yeah i ordered my food an hour ago but whatever. I know its late I’m not complaining. I open the door and he starts SCREAMING at me «WHYYOUORDERSOLATE!!! WECLOSEAT11:30» then i couldn’t understand what else he was saying then he wrapped up with«YOUNEVERORDERLATEAGAIN! YOUHEARME???» I was so shocked so i said«DON’T WORRY I’ll never order from you AGAIN» and i slammed the door. In the 2 minutes he was screaming at me I told him to lower his voice and my neighbors even came out! SOEMBARRASSING. Then to top it off the pineapple juice was fucking everywhere and got all over my floor. He’s lucky i didn’t throw the fucking bag at him. NEVERAGAIN. Oh and the foods not that good. Order from Pearls Chinese its always the best.

The good news is that they do dinner specials that are basically the same as the awesome deals you can get during the day at most places. Egg roll, rice, and entrée for less than $ 10. Not a whole lot of places on the UWS that can claim that. The bad news is that the food is mediocre at best. I have ordered delivery here twice. The first time I did the chicken & broccoli. It was pretty standard– nothing to complain about and satisfied my Chinese food craving. Second time was more of a nightmare. I ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken which came as fried balls of chicken with flavorless-red colored sauce to pour on. I used the whole thing and it still didn’t have much flavor at all. Should have known better for a place like this, since I prefer the not-so-fried version(P.F. Chang anyone?) Overall, if you want cheap Chinese, order one of the American brown-sauce standards and you’ll have an unmemorable, filling dinner.

This is a terrible, terrible restaurant. It’s an inexpensive hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but it doesn’t even live up to those low expectations. It appears that most of the food they serve for delivery has been sitting in their buffet for quite a while. Tough chicken, dry rice and thick(and pretty disgusting) sauce. General Tso’s, which is normally pretty good regardless of the restaurant, is bad here. As others have said, the meat they use tends to be the«odd bits» that contain bones or ligaments or whatever. Delivery guy is a total nightmare. I tip well, but he was very rude and just looked dirty. Anyone who lives around the restaurant has seen him speeding up and down the sidewalk on his electric bike, yelling at pedestrians — he’s no more pleasant in person. There are dozens of cheap Chinese places in the neighborhood — this might be the worst.

You get what you pay for. The sweet and sour chicken is yucky.

I have a laundry list of issues with this place, but I don’t want my review to sound like a rant but here goes. Food is sub-par. I have very low expectations of chinese take out, I know they have sauces pre-made and many things are pre-marinated and they just throw it in the wok and send it out the door. That being said, my food was bland, the soy sauce they use is low quality for the amount they charge. They use too much corn starch in the sauce, making it very goopy(I even had a corn starch ball in the food), the hot and sour soup comes out more like flavored vinegar than anything else. fixed with some siracha but most of it was thrown out in the end. Delivery was quick, 45 mins but the delivery guy showed up with one shoe missing. just thinking about it ruins my appetite. I will not be ordering here again.

I ordered my lunch here from . They took over an hour getting here, and as I was walking downstairs to pick up my order, the delivery guy calls me again — BERATINGME(!), telling me to hurry up — he’s busy. Of course when I got back to my office to open up my bag, my food my order was wrong. I contacted grubhub customer service and they were amazing. I then checked my email, and the restaurant charged me an extra 2 dollars to bring the stuff they forgot the first time around — unreal. It is now 2:30. I ordered my food at 1pm… The delivery person is disgusting — my advice is eat in! Wish I could give you a review of the food but uh. still waiting for it.
