Established in 2009.

The Device Shop (originally coined Fix My iPhone) began in 2009 as a side project. First operating out of a one-​bedroom apartment in Brooklyn then expanding into a two-​bedroom on the Upper East Side. Those were the days when only the iPhone 3G was available! Memories…

Our business has grown substantially since then with our HQ in the middle of Times Square and five other locations throughout New York City with more locations in the coming year.

We are happy and proud to serve the people of NYC and it’s many visitors!

Matt graduated from the University of Central Florida in December of ’08 and shortly thereafter moved to New York City. As a freelance web developer, additional streams of income were needed and Fix My iPhone NYC/​The Device Shop was born.

Came a few weeks ago to get my totally damaged screen replaced on my iPhone 6. Paul took the care to make sure the screen was totally clear of any marks before fully installing it and he also took the time to make sure there was no dust flecks or bubbles under the tempered glass protector. Total service time was around 15 minutes and the price was very reasonable.

I mistakenly went to Staples to get my cracked iPhone 6 screen repaired. When I got my «repaired» phone back from Staples, the earpiece speaker no longer worked and neither did the front facing camera. I brought the phone (including the new screen that cost $ 120 from Staples and only took 1 week to shatter, despite not dropping the phone) to The Device Shop. The man at the small office was fast, courteous and showed me exactly how Staples had wronged me. The man from The Device Shop even showed me the evidence that Staples used crazy glue and acetone to try and «fix» the front facing camera that they broke while «fixing» my screen. At the end of the day my iPhone 6 was brought back to life very quickly and properly by The Device Shop, I am very happy.

Paul was a perfectionist and would not let me walk away with a screen that had the slightest thing wrong with it. The screen replacement was so quick that he said to just stick around and watch. He went through 4 different screens until he got me the perfect one. Highly recommend!

I just had the screen on my cracked iPad Air fixed & it’s like new! Dropped it off at an actual office (it’s a Regus but still). In less than 2 hours Andre called me, I picked it up & its good as new. I hope I never have to use them again but it’s great to know that they are there

This is a very professional company. I called the company on two different occasions (to reschedule my appointment time and get pricing) and both times the employees I spoke to were very helpful and informative. No BS in their responses.
I got my phone repaired at the Grand Central location (26th floor in the Chrysler Building) which is a 5 minute walk from my office. Andre greeted me at the reception area and said it would only take 15 – 20 minutes to replace my iPhone 5 screen and install a new tempered glass screen protector. It was $ 92 out the door for a new screen + Gorilla tempered glass protector. That was the price after applying the $ 20 Unilocal coupon. There’s a 3% fee if you pay by credit card, so I could have saved a bit more if I paid in cash.
The waiting area is very nice, clean and quiet. Andre is a total professional and does a great job. Will recommend this to any of my co-​workers who may need to get their devices repaired.
