Dr. Nguyen is professional but is also cute as a button. She’s very easygoing and always has a smile on her face. I work across the street in 150 East — I found her through Unilocal.I certainly didn’t want to be drooling out of an office very far, so across the street was as far as I really wanted to go. Her office is on the 69^th floor of the Chrylser building, which requires two elevator rides after checking in at the receptionist for a visitor’s pass. The office is large but seems to be shared amongst a dozen or two other dentists.
My tooth broke and I hadn’t been to a dentist in a very long time — for one, I hated dentists. The majority have tried to scam me and the number of burns I’ve allowed myself to involuntarily endure in the past almost makes me feel ashamed. Then, there’s also that dreadful drilling noise. Fear no more! They give you an ipad for you to select a radio channel with a large headset that will drown out all that nerve-​wrecking noise. Dr. Nguyen is very thorough and she takes her time to explain what she’s doing before proceeding.
The one part I didn’t like was that I had called the day before the deep cleaning and filling procedure (Day 2) — I spoke with Judy who gave me a rough estimate of less than $ 500 for the whole procedure, including the crown. As Day 2 came to an end, the invoice was surprisingly close to $ 800. That’s a good $ 300 difference that no one likes to find out last minute, but for the services provided, I won’t complain. Besides, I can’t say that that exceeds NYC prices for similar procedures elsewhere. Judy was also very courteous and patient in explaining the differences after I came back to my office, confused as to how the numbers added up. Thanks to both of you for making this as painless as possible.
Now, I do have to end on the note that which nurse she has assisting her matters. Oh dear lord… the first and third (last) day, I had a very nice lady who was very helpful — she was pleasant — always smiling, and was pretty good with suction. The actual day I wish she had been the nurse (Day 2) was with this close to useless nurse who just did not give a rat’s behind about my comfort and suction. No bueno. To allow that to affect my review to give any less than 5 stars would be unfair, so I won’t let it! I’ll be back to take care of the remainder of the issues — insurance ran out so I’ll be going in January. As for insurance? Make sure you fill out the NEW PATIENT FORM on her website and NOT just on zocdoc. Dr. Nguyen has the insurance checked out before even beginning any procedure, which was very helpful and reassuring as to out-​of-​pocket costs.

Only had the X-​Rays and a consultation but she made me feel very comfortable. Definitely put all cost out upfront. Looking forward to my next appointment, not many people look forward to their next dental rendezvous. She’s funny and non-​judgmental on my cupcake consumption!

Best teeth cleaning experience ever. Dr. Nguyen was really friendly, professional, and insightful about my gums and teeth. Plus got to listen to awesome music on an iPad with mega huge headphones. And the view from the 69^th floor of the Chrysler building was extraordinary. Totally recommend this dental office. Great staff. Great teeth cleaning. Thanks to Groupon for the referral!

I went to Dr. Nguyen a while back, having purchased a Groupon for a cleaning /​check up /​x-​rays. Listen, if you’re going to go to the dentist it might as well be on the 69^th floor of the Chrysler Building. Gorgeous views! And you might as well go to Dr. Nguyen because she’s super nice. She did a thorough job, the staff is great, and best of all they didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t want or need (which so often happens when you use Groupon for a service, right?). I have no hesitation recommending Dr. Nguyen!

I really enjoyed meeting the doctor. She was professional, courteous and knowledgable and was very thorough in her assessment. I would definitely be seeing her again and I would also recommend her to my friends.

I love Studio Smiles! I am really afraid to go to dentists but Dr. Nguyen was awesome at making me feel comfortable. The procedure did not hurt at all. The office is soooo beautiful and upscale.
Dr. Nguyen really knows her stuff and took the time out to explain what she was doing. She also spent a lot of time answering my questions.
The next time I am in NY for extended stay and need a dentist, I know who to contact!
