History
Established in 1988.
Dr. SHeskier holds a B.S. and M.S. degree in nursing and worked in ICU’s and ER across the country. Going onto Baylor College of Medicine, where he graduated with Honors in 1982. He did 2 years of general surgery at Roosevelt hospital and completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh in 1987. He then went onto to do a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at UT/Dallas.
He gained extensive experience in the treatment of orthopedic trauma wihile an assistant professor at Downstate Medical center. He has been an active member of NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases since 1989, where he served as associate director odf the Foot and ankle service. Returning to private practice he remains involved in education and research of orthopedic residents. He co-founded the Diabetic Foot and ANkle Center at NYU-HJD.
He is a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and the North American Arthroscopy Association.
