Dr. Feldman operated on my left knee once and my right knee twice. (I re-​injured after the first surgery.) I had a torn meniscus in both knees and a Baker’s cyst behind one. 100 percent recovery. Returned to running. No pain. I recommend him. He’s straight-​forward in describing what he’ll do and what you can expect. Benny, who assists in the office, is terrific, and so was Carmen.

Dr Feldman has done arthroscopic surgery on both my knees, followed by collagen shots a few years later. All with good results and no problems. Like other commenters here I have found him to be honest, friendly, easy to talk to, and very competent. The assistant guy from somewhere in Eastern Europe is great also.
All my dealings with the rest of the staff have always been OK. Until today. I called with a request and the person who answered mumbled his name so I couldn’t understand it. Then they were dismissive, defensive, and rude.
This seems to be a general problem with many doctors in New York City — great doctors who don’t seem to care that their staffs are not necessarily up to their standards. Of course, not true with many, and not typical in my experience with this office either. I’ve never encountered this sort of thing ever in other places I’ve lived. You only have to read Unilocal comments about many New York City doctor offices to see that rudeness and beyond and incompetence of the office staffs is a pretty widespread phenomenon.
Again, I would still recommend Dr. Feldman highly, and this was not a typical experience there. Just a strangely common sort of thing in this city.
By the way, I work in a job dealing with the public all day long, and I don’t think my expectations for customer service are at all unreasonable.

Almost a year since I had surgery by Dr Feldman and I have finally gotten clearance to go on with my life. I had major surgery and all though the process Dr. Feldman was fantastic.
The doctor is the rockstar of surgeons! I highly recommend him.

My shoulder was popped out during Taekwondo, my labram was torn and pulled from the bone; Dr. Feldman got me back to being active every day.
He was always upfront about how long things would take even though I didn’t like that they were going to take soo long! Benny in the office is amazing. I called in a panic because I fell shortly after my surgery and he talked me through everything and assured me I would be OK. Everything is most certainly OK. I’ve spoken with other friends who have had similar surgeries and Dr. Feldman and his team are MUCH more thorough than some other doctors out there.
As patients we don’t always want to hear the truth about our situation, as a doctor… Dr. Feldman upheld his oath to do the right thing for the patient. I am stronger now than I was before I injured myself.
I never felt afraid and any time I had a question this team took care of me.

Dr. Feldman treated me for Shoulder Slap tear. Prior to going to see him, another doc just kept pumping me full of cortisone. Not Feldman, he immediately said we need to get a contrast MRI to see what in fact was going on. After the MRI it was crystal clear that I had a tear, he asked if I was going to continue with my athletic régime, I replied yes, he simply stated we need to get you fixed then (surgery). Similar to other posts, I really appreciate his no nonsense approach, Surgery and recovery went very well, and if i need treatment again on anything i will definitely see Doc Feldman again.

In September of 2014 I tore my Achilles tendon with the full 1 cm rupture. A friend recommended I go to Dr. Andrew Feldman for surgery. So after doing my own homework and checking his reviews on various sites I decided to give him a shot. I have to say, I am very happy I did.
I really liked the whole experience with Dr. Feldman and his staff: pre-​surgery (evaluation, recommendations; doctor gave me all my options without pushing for one or another), surgery (quick, efficient, seamless); and post-​surgery. Doctor’s recommendation for the ice therapy machine made my recovery much quicker and less painful. Also, seemingly aggressive physical therapy recommendation (I started PT by the end of the second week) made a big difference in my recovery.
Big thanks to the office staff, in particular Bennie, Carmen and Mo. Every patient is treated with care, patience and respect.
I strongly recommend Dr. Andrew Feldman to anyone who is in need of orthopedic surgery.

It has been 2 months since Dr. Feldman performed arthroscopic knee surgery for a torn medial meniscus. He was highly recommended by my primary care physician as being one of the best orthopedic surgeons in NYC. I’m happy to say that my primary doctor was right. My knee feels great, and now I am able to walk without pain!
Personally, I like Dr. Feldman’s no-​nonsense approach. He gets right to the point and explains everything well. He put me at ease during my pre-​op and post-​op visits. His office is clean and runs efficiently thanks to his excellent staff — Benny (PA), Carmen, and Mo.
Based on my fast recovery and results, I can confidently say that Dr. Feldman is an excellent orthopedic surgeon, and I would highly recommend him. Thank you for fixing my knee!

2 weeks post-​op (right shoulder arthroscopy for medium grade rotator cuff tear and labral tear SLAP 2) and extremely pleased. My physical therapist says I’m already ahead of schedule and I’m feeling surprisingly good so soon after surgery.
He’s no nonsense and that’s what you should expect and want from a top nyc orthopedic surgeon. His staff is great. While not easy to reach on a call they are superb at timely returning calls.
For those wondering about the customer service (although I agree with the posters who stress results), I’ll give an example. The cold rush machine they gave me for post op treatment wasn’t functioning in the first few days. I left a message with the answering service, and no less than three staff members called me back to try and fix it (on Friday night). The doctor called later that night too. In the end I ended up fixing it, yet they didn’t charge me the usual (rather high) rental fee of $ 150. Have had very good experiences with Benny, Carmen and Mo.
Not a big Unilocaler here but if I can help a fellow athlete in my position make a good doctor choice then I’m glad I posted. Hope to update in a few months with more good news. Dr. Feldman treated me for a shoulder separation from a snowboarding injury. Turns out he and his new resident (?) had similar injuries from snowboarding. Be careful out on the trails folks. You’re not invincible.
I digress…
The doctor’s office was clean and efficient. His demeanor was pleasant and relaxed. I would definitely recommend him to anybody else.

7 months ago I suffered a workplace injury that resulted in the complete rupture of the biceps tendon in my right arm. Dr Feldman walked me through the precise nature of my injury, what his plan was to surgically repair the tendon, and answered all of my questions about rehab and long-​term prognosis. His office staff, particularly Carmen, tackled all the Worker’s Compensation paperwork so I didn’t have to stress any more than I was over the injury itself.
I’m pleased to say the surgery went exactly as Dr Feldman said it would. Despite the head of the tendon being badly frayed, Dr Feldman performed the procedure so skillfully, with very little post-​op pain or discomfort, that I am still truly amazed that such a traumatic injury could be repaired and rehabilitated without severe pain or complications.
I’m please to say that after 7 months from the injury I have regained 100% of the strength, function and range of motion in my elbow, and I have Dr Feldman and his team to thank.
If you are considering any sort of orthopaedic surgery you will absolutely benefit from Dr Feldman’s skill, expertise and no-​nonsense demeanor. Highly recommended!!!
