Stefan Kieserman, MD

Dr. Kieserman and his staff are a pleasure to work with. While having an ENT exam is never easy (that tube…) Dr. K makes the experience as pleasurable as it can be with his quirky sense of humor. I also never have an issue scheduling an appointment and being seen promptly.
Dr. K was recommended to me by a very close friend and I always recommend him to anyone who needs an ENT.

I treated with Dr. Kieserman at the recommendation of my PCP at Mt. Sinai as a result of bad sinus and ear infection in the winter. I felt the doctor’s examination was thorough, pleasant bedside manner and welcoming of questions. I did not feel rushed and did not wait very long when I arrived for my appointment. ENT is not the most comfortable exam in general but that’s not his fault. I would recommend Dr. Kieserman and treat again with this doctor.

Kieserman and his practice suck. You should go here if you want an extremely rushed, rude, and over-​priced experience.
First, you will be given the absolute minimal attention possible from his staff. After waiting a half hour to see him, he will then work as fast as humanly possible to get you out of his office, interrupt you when you try to speak, and make absolutely zero effort to get your opinion on what your issues are.
You will then be quickly escorted back to the waiting area where you will be told that someone ‘will be with you in 10 minutes’ to schedule a follow-​up appointment. After 30 minutes of radio silence from his staff, you will try to ask them what is taking so long, and they will quickly dismiss you back to the waiting area.
Another 15 minutes will go by before you give up and walk out without scheduling the follow-​up, kicking yourself for ever making the appointment in the first place and annoyed at all the positive reviews this guy gets on Unilocal and Zocdoc.
A month or two later, you (not your insurance, but you) will be charged $ 200 for an appointment that lasted that lasted 180 seconds.
And that photo of him has to be about 30 – 40 years out-​dated.

I had my first visit with Dr. Keiserman last week. I just felt very comfortable with him. My «issues» were much less pressing after visiting him, just because I felt he was listening to me, and took MY concerns seriously. His office staff was very efficient.

Loved his bedside manner, which is key for me in choosing a doctor. He explained what he was going to do and why, which I really appreciated. Office staff was great and all insurance/​payment info was handled quickly. Only downside, do not accept credit card for payment — only cash or check so be prepared. Staff does know locations of nearby ATMs, however.

I was looking for help with clogged, inflamed inner ears and searched online for a highly-​rated doctor. I had never had a problem before but was suddenly deaf and uncomfortable.
I looked online and found Dr. Kieserman. I got an appointment right away and realized the flip side of that convenience when I arrived at the office: the waiting room was full and the doctor was double-​booked.
When he did see me, he fixed my ears, but he didn’t wear gloves (did sanitize his hands with a spray) and used instruments that he didn’t sterilize.
After he cleaned my ears, he asked if I had ever considered a nose job. Again, I was here for my ears… He said it looked like it had been broken and twisted to the right. He told me to consider cosmetic surgery.
Then he felt my throat and told me my thyroid felt enlarged and I should have an ultrasound by one of three preferred radiologists.
I kind of felt like I was being scammed.
Today my ears are sore and lymph nodes swollen… I can hear, but remains to be seen what happens with these new symptoms. And I’ll never go back there again.

After a couple of deep dives in the Bahamas, I experienced some very uncomfortable fluid buildup in one of my ears. I tried some of the known remedies, like Auro-​Dri, but nothing seemed to work. Nearly a week went by and I just couldn’t take it any longer. My primary care doctor recommended Dr. Kieserman, so I called him and was able to get an appointment almost immediately (less than 2 hours).
My experience with Dr. Kieserman and his staff was extremely positive. I will assuredly be seeing him again with any future ear issues, and will definitely be scheduling an appointment for later in the year to have some allergy testing done.

Dr Stefan Kieserman treated me for over a year for chronic throat infections (tonsillitis & strep throat). He performed somnoplasty on me in 2008, which is less invasive than a tonsillectomy and half the healing time. It’s now 2010 and I never got another infection again. He is truly amazing, very kind with an excellent staff. I highly recommend going to him for all of your ear, nose and throat issues.
