Established in 2008.

The founder Todd Chen started the dance school with the vision of creating a innovate dance program where the average person with zero dance background could train and become a master Salsa dancer. The second goal was to create a environment of community among his dance students. With only a small handful of students, he began experimenting with teaching methods. Soon the salsa classes became hugely popular. The innovative program attracted many new students and within two short years, the school grew from 5 students to over 9 classes and multiple levels that meet through out the week.

My foray into the salsa world began with one bad date. I was invited to a salsa club by a date, but ended up watching from the sides as other dancers skillfully turned and maneuvered my date across the dance floor. Though I had 6 years experience performing, teaching, and choreographing hip hop, salsa was unfamiliar territory for me. This incident led to his decision to take classes with the legendary Eddie Torres, who is accredited with inventing and popularizing dancing salsa On2. I’ve been organizing salsa parties and teaching people to dance salsa since that day.
