in the neighborouh it’s a convenient place if you want to avoid the chains. I had a piece of cake which wasn’t that good. The bagels and donuts are really big but I didn’t have the chance to taste them. I was there for an appointment. There are few tables. At the beginning the mood was ok but then with no reason they increase the volume of the background music, it was terrible. I will not go back there unless I have no choice. It’s a pity because people otherwise are very nice

I am writing a review because I feel there is a need to show a different perspective. I was walking from work near centre St. on an 80 degree weekday. A good way to find comfort is getting some iced coffee and perhaps a bagel for for a late morning snack. I’m headed to Fulton and gold St. because that is where my main office is and lo and behold, a highly rated coffee place pops up. I immediately notice that people were so impressed by the ambience, snickers iced coffee and the coolness of the place. I guess to feel the vibe I have to order the snickers iced coffee. First thing I notice, new guy manning the machine don’t know what I am talking about. He had to ask another guy what I needed and I said to myself«oh boy this is not going to turn out right.» I also order a bagel, just a plain one with cream cheese and toasted. It’s a simple order, coffee and bagel all for $ 8.07 –JUSTWOW. It could have been priced that way and if I was impressed by the flavor then maybe it could be justified(by a stretch). The thing is, and I would hate myself for saying this, it couldn’t even hold up to a Dunkin donuts regular iced coffee with hazelnut for $ 1.99 and to recommend a Dunkin donuts makes me feel like this place has gotten such hype it doesn’t deserve it. First the flavor. Iced coffee is at best a MEH! It has ice yeah, but noting more. I didn’t even taste the snickers in the snickers iced coffee. Plain bagel with cream cheese. Bagel is toasted but man, even the bagel from the carts are even tastier. Cream cheese? Guy spread it so thin it’s just a dabble. Come on for $ 8.07! So you pay using their iPad and swipe your card. There is an option for an emailed receipt. I did that, 12 hours later, no receipt on my gmail. Wow, just wow. Let’s not be pretentious here but please, if you want a coffee that does its trick, go get it somewhere but here. .25 stars, just because it’s steps away from my work.

Just added breakfast sandwiches to the menu — the best! The coffee is amazing as well.

Brews Intelligentsia beans! Ordered an ice mocha with almond milk and it was so good! Good proportion of coffee, milk and sweetness versus other coffee places. Ran into it unintentionally on the way to south seaport. Decent prices for coffee and good service!

Coffee was very good! But Bagel with cream cheese was very disappointing. It was no where near Brooklyn Bagel or Ess-a Bagel. matter of fact my bagel barely had any cream cheese. I really hope that was a one off situation with me.

A great spot to get coffee! After walking across the Brooklyn Bridge we stumbled upon R&R and had great drinks. The Snickers Iced Coffee drink was the one of the most delicious coffee drinks i have ever had(very sweet but good)! They had a few tables and a bar overlooking the street to sit and enjoy your coffee or take it to go. A few people were sitting and studying at tables. Will be back to try something else.

Great little coffee spot that’s open on weekends with marble counter tops and a cheeky sign out front. FiDi is lacking in the gourmet coffee area so I was happy to come across R&R. Friendly staff brewed me a quick and efficient latte. A little bit of a bummer that they charge extra for soy and almond milk. It’s not my fault dairy and I don’t get along. There is also a decent selection of baked good and lunch/brunch options. Nothing super healthy so think pastries and breads. Seating here is pretty open and on a Sunday morning, I had no issue finding a nice window seat.

Cute little store in FiDi neighborhood: every visit is very homy. I like their almond cappuccino with slightly toasty taste. But I can’t appreciate their soy latte: beans a bit over toasted and sweetness of soy milk is missing.(Soy milk is usually slightly sweet from other places. Not sure why this one just taste like a bad milk.) I’ll come back for almo cap but not soy latte.

Very laid back spot. There isn’t a lot of seating but I’m glad I got a table since I didn’t want something to go… I was hoping for more bagel options. They only have either butter or plain cream cheese, but the bagel was good anyway. I ordered a chai latte and it has a different, and in my opinion better, than Starbucks. It has a little bit more of a kick and isn’t as bland. A customer was playing a guitar and nobody was bothered by it. It actually kind of gave it more of an authentic vibe if anything. The only reason I wasn’t extremely happy is because I really wanted a bagel with lots of toppings and unfortunately it isn’t a good place for that. I would come back if I pass it again for the chai though.

Got to come back to R&R in this blistering cold… tried out an irish cream latte… which they have listed as cappuccino but made mine into a latte. great taste, not too sweet, it was just pure perfection. I wish is a bit hotter… but that would be my only complaint! R&R can be on the pricey side for me, so it’s an occasional treat for me… but I will always come back…

I like their cappuccinos and lattes. I also bought coffee beans and they grind them for you after you purchase. I would like to try more of their coffee beans. So far tried the Ethiopian bag. The price here is like starbucks prices.

I regularly stop by R&R, perhaps even twice a day: before heading to work & after my work day to recharge. I generally switch it up, but all my drinks have been solid: a dirty chai, a cortado, various flavored lattes. But none do it for me as much as the Valentino Latte does(espresso, milk, + chocolate & strawberry syrup). Besides the coffee, the ambiance is great: awesome baristas, awesome music, and awesome pastry selections.

R&R is my go-to when I’m in Fidi since Blue Spoon is never open on the weekends… it’s a solid coffee shop with tasty almond croissants and good iced and hot coffees. Milks and sugars are provided on the counter and you’re good to go. My boyfriend got an extremely high score on the Doodle Jump game while sitting in this store after he had a latte, so I thought I’d note that here as he was very proud. Fellow Doodle Jumpers, may you have the best of luck repeating the experience at R&R.

I admittedly am not a big coffee snob. Im fine with Starbucks or the corner bodega or the office Keurig machine. Its more fuel for me than anything else but was in area on Xmas eve with my friend who happens to be a Barista so she wouldnt allow a quick Dunkin hit thus we came here. I still went with a regular brewed coffee and not some foofoo half caf double shot foam blah blah hipster concoction. It was a good cup of Joe. Strong which is the most important thing to me. I added those two things that seem foreign to new age coffee drinkers, milk and sugar(remember when Michael Scott just drank milk and sugar in a thermos on The Office) and I got the caffeine fuel to get through the family holiday. Had a doughnut too, it had coconut and was really thick and cake like and was like a meal but tasted pretty good. Ms Barista got some Americano thing and was happy with it. Place is cool looking, help was fast and friendly.

Decent coffee shop that I frequent because I work close by. Last several times I’ve been here looks like they’ve been brewing Toby’s Estate. I usually order a flat white which usually is made well — spot on milk: espresso ratio and texture… although not quite as good as buying from Toby’s Estate directly. Prices are reasonable too — cheaper than getting your caffeine at Starbucks. But my favorite part of this place is that they sell Dough donuts in the mornings! In general, I’m not a big fan of buying Dough at any location outside of their Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy or their Flatiron spots because they just don’t taste as soft/fluffy…but the Dough offerings here are generally pretty fresh(I’m guessing because of its relatively close to their Flatiron spot). Service has always been friendly and they take credit card which is convenient. Wouldn’t call this a destination spot, but a nice option for coffee or a pastry if you work in the area!

R&R Coffee NY Manhattan FiDi 12pm Tuesday 17th November 2015 Four Stars Located on the crowded intersection of Gold and Fulton, R&R coffee is surprisingly relaxing. The front corner of the shop has an L shape high top granite counter, where you can sit and look out the window seat and absorb some natural light. There are four small tables as well. The white walls and wood floor give it nice feel. I had a cappuccino(10oz) to stay($ 3.97). It came in a 11.5oz Bright White Low Cup with a Rosetta foam design. The drink was more wet than my usual taste but still enjoyable. The espresso reminded me of milk chocolate. The perceived caffeine level was low.

Nice option for coffee in a neighborhood surprisingly bereft of real coffee choices. Great to have a single origin Toby’s Estate coffee in the hopper for espresso drinks… my latte was very well executed. Came primarily for beans and was disappointed to see that the rack for carry out purchase was empty! Super nice barista-guy to the rescue: he offered to weigh out 12 ounces of beans for me. It was a really wet, dreary day, and he packaged the beans carefully to ensure they didn’t get destroyed en route. Roast date was even quite good! They also had 40 weight and Intelligentsia beans on brew for those looking for other options. Very happy to have stopped in. Free wifi and a few tables for any who are looking for such tips. Recommended! Will return when I’m in the area.

Nice little spot by the seaport. My chai latte was a bit too sweet for my taste, but still delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and made all the drinks quickly. I’ll be back to try more coffee and some of those pastries. Just note, this place is tiny; not a lot of seating, but the up side to that is that you’re able to be in and out if you’re in a hurry.

Upon first glance it looked to small to do work in, which my original purpose for going, but once I went inside it felt a lot more spacious. I got a niced coffee and stayed a bit to finish up a project. It was a nice place to work in particularly because of all the natural light.

They play good music here! The food: I ordered an egg-white breakfast wrap. I did not like it. My friend ordered a bagel. She seemed to like it. The service: The cashier and baristas seemed to know people who came in, which was a good sign. The facility: It was oblong. I sat at one of the window high-seats with my friend. There are a few regular tables in the back near the restroom. Payment: I paid with cash. Can’t speak to if they take American Express or not. Overall: I don’t personally recommend the egg white breakfast wrap, but maybe other items are good.
