Paul Tanners DDS

Long story short. Was referred to Dr. Tanners aka Dr Dollar Signs after my
periodontist retired. Tanners took x-​rays, did an exam, told me I needed $ 76,000
worth of dental work and needed to have my bottom teeth extracted. I know
my teeth are not great but I never heard this from any dentist or periodontist
before. When I told him that was more than I earned in a year, he thought he
could get the estimate of work down to $ 50,000 or $ 60,000.
Dr. Dollar Signs was very aggressive about getting my business, so much so I did
not return to finish the dental cleaning. Between the high (unsolicited) estimate
and the pushiness, just the thought of returning gave me an anxiety attack.
Found another highly recommended periodontist who also did x-​rays and an exam.
He thought the estimate was outrageous and I certainly did not need to have my
bottom teeth extracted. He said I needed about a thousand dollars worth of work.
Stay away unless you want to spent lots of money on unnecessary cosmetic
dentistry.

I’ve been going to Paul Tanners for over 20 years. He and his staff are the most caring and attentive group of professionals I’ve ever dealt with. He has cleaned and fixed a broken tooth and did a superb job. My teeth look great as a result of my visits and people always comment on how great my teeth look. Go to see Paul Tanners and his staff with any dental issue. I highly recommend his services.

His office is so fancy that you feel like you are paying extra for it. Seems what you are upaying for is getting the job done right the first time.
Dr. Tanners repaired my broken tooth with a crown. His temporary was 1000% better than the previous guys permanent. I was stunned paying twice what I thought it would cost but I am happy with both the result and the process. It looks perfect and most importantly, the occlusal surface is also perfect so it’s not causing a headache. When he put in the permanent crown, he had to take it out 8 times to adjust it; I am way more sensitive than the width of the wax paper – way more sensitive than the average bear.
Now the crown is in perfectly and the cost seems fully worth it. What value do you put in being able to eat a nut and not be afraid of the tooth breaking again? What is the cost of going somewhere cheap only get it redone again and again?. In my case, the 8 times in and out were all in the same visit. Imagine, if you were told «try it and come back if it does not feel right». I would have been back there 8 times.

This is a high end cosmetic dental practice on Madison Avenue – with pricing to match the fancy address. The offices are beautiful and the front office staff helpful and efficient – there is even a roving foot masseuse! What the office lacks is much of a concern for general dental health. If you are looking to spend thousands to have your teeth whitened or enhanced with crowns and implants, this practice will be a good match. If you are looking for a general dentistry practice concerned about your oral health over cosmetics of your teeth, go elsewhere. I went in with one chipped tooth and came out with two crowns costing almost $ 7000. Buyer beware.

He can fix any issue and any problem or complication regardless of it’s depth, intricacy and longevity with skill, knowledge and compassion
I write from experience.
I suffered for many years until Dr Tanners figured out the puzzle that my mouth had become.
I SUFFER NO MORE!!!
Yes, Dr Tanners is expensive but for those of us who have and do suffer, he is worth all the money in the world.

I came in for a routine check and Dr. Tanners was great. He was thorough, got me in and out quickly so that I could make it back to the office, and provided great care. He was very compassionate which I don’t see in other people that I visited and I felt both cared for and understood. I would definitely recommend him to my friends.

I’m a man in my early 70s. About three years ago
my dentist retired and I began with Dr. Tanner.
In short order he diagnosed a number of problems
some of which required immediate treatment, and
others which could wait. He rapidly gained my
trust in his judgment and skill. As time went on
I did go ahead eventually to have him work on all
the problems he originally diagnosed, including:
an implant, four crowns, some gum line fillings,
and one regular filling. He also referred me to
an expert colleague for a bone graft.
At the conclusion of all of this work, I have to
say that Doctor Tanner practices his art like a
master craftsman, to a very high standard. He is
also a nice man with a friendly human touch, sense
of humor, easy to talk to and to question. And he
is happy to explain treatment details for the
curious patient.
Finally, he has a highly competent hygienist whom
it’s actually a pleasure to visit for routine
care.
