Michael Seiden, DDS

I went to Dr. Seiden in the early ‘90s, decent work but the halitosis was unbearable so found a new dentist. My dentist passed, and today I phoned Dr. Seiden’s office to see how much it is for an exam, x-​rays and much-​needed filling, and if they take credit cards.
Yes, they take credit cards but NO PRICES WHATSOEVER! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS to think, in this day and age, that anyone makes an appointment without any idea of price — UNPROFESSIONAL attitude to take appointments to blind-​side a patient with the bill, regardless if it’s low, average or high.
Called 3 other dentists and they all provided prices over the phone. Made an appointment with Dr. Elisa Mello, and though it’s probable Seiden would be cheaper, no patience for such a shady attitude!

It is my pleasure to comment about an outstanding dentist, Dr. Michael Seiden. My first contact with Dr. Seiden was 20 years ago for a second opinion about a cracked tooth and possible crown. Not only did he discover that it was a cracked filling rather than the entire tooth, but his repair was virtually painless. He has continued to demonstrate his expertise diagnosing and treating numerous dental problems I have encountered over the years. The porcelain veneers he created for me have transformed my smile. He is thorough, knowledgeable and willing to explain each procedure performed. His delivery is calming and sometimes quite humorous. The atmosphere in his office is comfortable and welcoming. His staff is friendly and very flexible when an appointment is needed. Calls are returned promptly, whether it be in an emergency or simply to respond to an inquiry about a procedure. I live over an hour from the city. Dr. Seiden is definitely worth the commute!

Dr. Seiden is an excellent clinician. He has great bedside manners and is very thorough in his explanations. He took the time from his busy day to talk to me, explain a procedure to me and was very helpful in relieving any stress I had. I highly recommend him as a dentist and a gentleman.

I was a long time patient of Dr. Seiden and I always thought highly of the work he did for me. Then he did a crown, as I left his office he said the crown should last 10 years, imagine how surprised I was when the crown fell out 3 months later, here’s a hint, not nearly as surprised as when he wouldn’t return my call afterwards and way less surprised then when another dentist who eventually fixed it asked why why Dr. Seiden used temporary cement to put it in. Temporary cement was supposed to last 10 years — what are the odds? I called his office several times for an explanation, he didn’t return one call — not like when his office used to call constantly to be paid. Really disappointing.
As long as he was my dentist I almost feel badly being honest on Unilocal,then again, I gave him several opportunities to explain the temporary cement and to fix the tooth.
Save yourself doing the work twice and certainly save yourself paying for work twice — use a different dentist.
Dr. Seiden is not an oral surgeon as Unilocal indicates, he is a general dentist.

I was referred to Dr. Seiden after seeing a quack dentist who told me I had a mouth full of cavities (I didn’t!). Needless to say, Dr. Seiden has probably drilled once in the 10 years I’ve been seeing him, and will tell you upfront that he’s conservative — a great quality to have in a dentist. Pat, Ann Marie, and the other staff are welcoming and always remember my name, making it really feel like an old school family practice.

Due to some jaw problems I was born with (and that meant I had to have extensive surgery growing up), I am neurotic about dentists. I am not a fun patient. The whole staff was great from start to finish! They were all awesome… very patient, very understanding. Two thumbs up!

Dr Seiden has cared for my family for over 20 years including our newborns who are now in their 20s. He has taken us in emergencies, and is very good about insurance billing before asking us to pay. Ann Marie and the entire staff are gracious and professional. We have referred many friends in town without hesitation.
As good a dental practice as one can find, and my Uncle was my dentist when I was a kid…
