If you’ve eaten food out over many years, you’ve most likely also digested a few things you would rather not know about. Still, when there are bugs swimming in one’s chow fun soup, it does stop the flow of spoon to mouth. Mee Noodle was very kind and gave us a refund although they did ask us to pack up and return our food which we did. I’d rather not know in the future when I’m ingesting bed bugs, tics or beetles. On the plus side, we didn’t get sick from eating Mee Noodle Bugs so maybe it was just added protein at no charge. Enclosed is a pic of one of the bugs(there were more than three).

I am sorry to report I was craving Chinese food again and they not only severely disappointed with their not even remotely spicy General Tso(yes I stooped to this level) but I found a HAIR in my container and stopped eating. «How did you know it wasn’t yours?» you ask. Well I will tell you it’s because mine is light brown and long and this was short and black… Never again!

I love this restaurant!!! Went for dinner with my husband. In addition to the delicious roast pork noodle soup I got to share, this time I also got the steamed soft meat buns(OMG so delicious I ate them all!!!) and also got the beef chow fun(best I have ever had and I am very picky about my chow fun. here the noodle was so fresh and the beef tasty delicious and plentiful and the sauce perfectly seasoned and not too salty nor greasy… Just Perfect. I also got gailan(Chinese broccoli) … finally a proper meal to welcome in the new year!!!

Simple dishes and affordable. I ordered a noodle soup(or soup noodle?) and nothing really fancy. I recommend this place for quick lunch and when you are craving for noodles and in a budget.

FINALLY! A good Chinese restaurant in the East Village. I’m Cantonese and have been craving Won Ton Noodle Soup with Char siu(pork) with the thin egg noodles. This place always hits the spot! Also — you can’t go wrong with the scallion pancakes. Also — delivery is usually very fast if you’re nearby!

I once called for pickup, they misunderstood my order and blamed it on me. Terrible service, I won’t ever go there again.

Had this for lunch. Loved the Sesame Chicken. Cooked perfectly. I also had an egg roll, which was delicious. Consistent. I have been twice now and it’s been good each time. Good portions too for lunch.

I’ve been eating some dishes such as chow fun, ho fun, and soy sauce chicken at mee for several years and all have been good without forcing me to go into Chinatown. The last few days, I’ve been craving Buddhas delight so I figured I can order it from mee since they seem to make a lot of authentic dishes. Unfortunately, when I ordered my Cantonese wonton soup and Buddhas delight, I had a few problems: The soup was fine and as I always expect — handmade wontons with bokchoy but I found a hair in my rice and my Buddhas delight was missing several standard ingredients such as tofu, bean curd, black fungus, vermicelli, seaweed, and mung beans. The veggies that they did give me were just sautéed and splashed with vinegar — so gross. I’m really disappointed in mee for leaving out some major ingredients. If they added maybe 2 or 3 of the missing ingredients I mentioned, I may have been able to overlook the rest.

This place does a great job with weekend delivery! It always comes within the seamless time frame and it still hot when it arrives. The shrimp lo mein has great flavor and the scallion pancakes are very good too. The lo mein is a large portion that lasts 2 meals and the price is reasonable. Always happy with my delivery order.

I’ve had my fair share of wonton, bbq pork, bok choy, egg noodle soup. Definitely not the best bowl that I’ve had, and definitely not the worst. Ordered both the wavy and thin noodles. Best pro is that it is relatively inexpensive for the area. I was both feeling under the weather, craving wonton noodle soup, and didn’t want to step one foot out the door. Delivered and it got the job done!

Grabbed the grilled pork soup with cantonese noodles and wontons. It was pretty good — not –great– but good. I got this delivery on a rainy Friday and it was better than walking outside. The food was a bit bland and the pork was soggy. I’d recommend they package the liquid and components(noodles/pork) separately for delivery. I’m gonna give it another go by going into the restaurant — it definitely had potential!

This place is awesome. So many noodles so little time. Dishes are simple and delicious. Portion is very generous. Broths don’t have a lot of salt or MSG flavoring — you won’t feel bloated or weird afterwards. I recently was sick for 4 days and ordered soup from here for two days straight. The shrimp dumplings are so on point(6 pcs for 5 $) and it comes with a tasty dipping sauce that is not the stereotypical soy sauce. Always deliver on time rain, snow, or shine. Great for takeouts!

I got delivery from here the other day and it was decent. Ended up getting the dan dan noodles and I was very pleased that they came to me still hot. The sauce was great, but I wish that they would deliver it in a flatter bowl type container as it was difficult to mix the sauce with the noodles. Additionally, I got the chicken lo mein. Both were okay, but once they became cold, the dishes became flavorless. The food was delivered extremely quickly which was great and the prices were okay, but it isn’t the best chinese food I’ve ever had.

Pretty authentic Chinese food in east village of all places. This is my go-to place for noodle soup and other Chinese dishes without shelling out $ 50 at nearby Han dynasty(food is delicious but it can get pricey). Service is quick and food is consistently good. It’s a decent sized restaurant but I’ve never seen it packed. We always see people coming in for a quick dinner by themselves. Great place to grab authentic dependable Chinese food if you live in the neighborhood.

Love the fresh wontons, love the fact that it’s a sit-down restaurant, love the food! Fried rice is pretty bland, the service is decent, and the prices are just right!

Since moving to New York City a few weeks ago my schedule has mostly been: Work 9 – 6 School 6:30−8:30 Gym 9 – 10 Mee Kitchen Sleep. I have not gone food shopping ONCE since I arrived in New York City and I’ve probably eaten at Mee Kitchen ATLEAST15 times. For starters, its open until 11pm, the food is great and it’s nice to be able to eat somewhere late at night that isn’t fast food, but is cooked quickly. I’ve seen quite a few reviews on here that rip Mee Kitchen’s food so, let’s be VERY clear about something. This is NOT a place you travel for. It isn’t some special culinary experience that’s going to blow your mind. This is just a chinese joint that kills the take out game and a great option if you live nearby. I’ve eaten quite a few dishes from here including baby bok choy with sliced chicken, vegetable lo mein, chicken and string beans over noodles, meat dumpling soup, meat dumpling soup with noodles, chicken and broccoli, chicken with mixed vegetables… you get the point. Their food is good, the service is great and you can walk in at 10:55PM and have your take out order ready in a few minutes. As for the venue itself its quite nice and you can totally sit down here, but to me it’s the perfect take out joint. In the realm of the take out world, Mee’s is a solid 5 stars.

Mei, the lady wait staff is bubbly & friendly. unlike most traditional Chinese noodle place with rude & aloof staff, she made the place alive & made me feel at home. The service is super fast; seated, served with iced water & a tea pot of my own courtesy of the store(yayyyy no need to flag down & beg for tea refills!!), order taken with just recommendation, all within the first 7 min after I stepped in the store. However I was never rushed nor ignored which I often felt at Chinatown noodle shops. The floor, bathroom & tables are squeaky clean; the serving was huge with Chinatown price & plenty of food. My fish cake chow fun noodle soup was not too salty nor bland; it was fine. What’s not to like about this noodle joint?

The thing to get here is the noodle soups, hands down. I tried some of their other offerings, but it gets extra ricey and just not that great. If you’re tempted, don’t get the roast pork, it’s so-so but not great. The great thing is that all the noodle soups are cheap(under $ 10) and pretty flavorful. I got both the roast pork and seafood noodle soups for just $ 9, and both were decent tummy-fillers, although the roast pork wasn’t the juicy Chinese style glazed BBQ roast pork I was thinking it would be, just thin slices of dryer roasted pork. If you’re feeling soupy and want a cheap fix, this is your place to order from or go to. Staff is fast and friendly, and orders come pretty quickly too. I’d recommend ordering instead of dining in, since it’s a rather sterile-like environment in there and you don’t gain a whole lot by having it be super fresh like you would with ramen.

Best Chinese food I’ve tasted in NYC… No seriously… I had reviewed the other location, but unfortunately it closed, so here it goes again… Hallelujah x 2 This review is for Delivery ONLY. For starters, they are super fast at delivering! I swear, I ordered from this place 4 days in a row straight since the New Year. I guess you can call it an addiction or perfect for this cold winter in NYC. 1. Seafood Noodle Soup with Chow Fun(Ho fun in my book, but NYC restaurants like to call things different than that they are), chow is usually pan fried regardless same difference: –Noodles are cooked perfectly! –Soup, it must be the MSG, but DAMN, so tasty –Seafood: more than I could handle, usually restaurants aren’t that generous, but this place is! –Veggies: bok choy= nice and crunchy just how I like it, in other words, I am glad they don’t over cook it! 2. Wonton Soup with Chow Fun: –Wonton = BAD, but soup GOOD! The broth is pretty much the same as the seafood noodle. 3. Chow Fun(The real pan friend version): –Excellent! It could have used a little more sauce, but otherwise it taste great. It’s hard to find a place out here in NYC that makes chow fun let alone close to the way they do in California. Thank you!
