Very convenient location in lower east side, great prices, do your own or they can do for you. If too busy they will pick up in morning and have it to you same day. I do my own, washers range $ 3 — $ 6.50 (S-​L) and dryers $ .25 /​6 min. One large load I’m in and out in less than an hour

Do not go here. They lose laundry, and my last visit the machine didn’t fill with water and they argued with me for a half hour for my $ 3.00 (yes, I absolutely argued for $ 3.00) The owner was called and they finally put me on the phone with him and I told him I would file a police report for theft over the «measly $ 3.00». Curiously, I was refunded immediately.
There is a BEAUTIFUL new laundromat on Ave B (one block from this pathetic joint) between 5th and 6th Streets. No reason to visit this dump any longer.

I always drop my clothes off here for them to do my laundry. I drop it off before I leave to work, and it’s ready for me when I get back. They fold everything and couldn’t be happier with the way my clothes look, feel and smell after. I also go here for my shirts to get laundered and pressed, also quick and clean.

Super reliable laundromat in the neighborhood– open at all convenient hours and the employees are extremely helpful. Usually goes for $ 1 a pound which is pretty standard around the east village. If you have a specific detergent you want them to use, feel free to bring it in and they will use it for your load.

I am sad to have only found this place a week before moving out of this neighborhood. This is the best laundromat in the east village, hands down. There is a change machine, there are SO many machines that I doubt you’d have to wait (I went around 8pm on a Thursday and it was nearly empty), and there are lots of tables and chairs to sit at. The woman working there was nice and friendly too. I have left an awful review for a laundromat I used to go to (only because it was closer and I didn’t know about this place then) that was maybe 1⁄3 the size and had very rude owners. They also would never exchange your bills for quarters.
I am only giving this place 4 stars because the wifi password that is posted is wrong. I asked the woman for help and she said it has not changed, and she called someone else to confirm it hadn’t been changed, which I appreciated. Nonetheless, I typed it in carefully 5 times and it did not work.

I drag all my laundry here and wash it myself, so no experience with the other services. I’d say it’s a nice place and usually enough space (I’ve only had to wait for a dryer once, it was a Sunday afternoon). Everything’s always clean, so although I still hate it when I drop my wet socks on the floor, I don’t feel gross about shuttling them across the room in the metal carts they have. Never seen any dust/​lint/​hair in them, which is great.
The prices recently went up a bit, it’s something like $ 4.50 for a washer and .25 for 6 minutes for a dryer. Still a fair deal to me because they’re so close, but it does add up.

This is my neighborhood laundry spot. I was initially scared a little because the overall review score is so low, but my roommates were fans and also a closer reading confirmed that all the negative reviews are from several years back (when it was apparently under different ownership). I come for wash + fold service exclusively, so I can’t comment on the coin-​op side of the business, but I’ve been exceptionally happy with the wash + fold. I’ve been using Gentle Wash for 6 months and have never had anything lost or damaged or any other service I could possibly complain about. Big fan — would recommend to anyone!

Came here because the one on first ave and 8 street was closed at 10:30 at night and really needed to get my laundry done. Luckily this place was open and relatively cheap.
Seems like a pretty good place. The person at the front was attentive and answered my questions politely enough. Then again I’ve never dropped off my laundry here or anything and I feel like that’s where a lot of the complaints were coming from.

Since the laundromat at 6th St and 2nd Ave closed, I’ve been in the market for an alternative, and this one seems the best combination of great hours (open until 11:30pm) and reasonable prices. The one on 1st Ave and 7th, for example, is $ 3.25 for the smallest washer! Boo to that!

Today we had to drop off our laundry here after both washers in our basement malfunctioned. My roommate dropped the wash off, and called me to tell me the ticket number for when I picked it up.
I was pleased to find the attendant folding my wash just as I got there; my roommate had already paid, so I put some money in the tip can.
This is a far cry from the time several years ago I went to this laundromat for the last time; the clerk there openly shortchanged me, and then became abusive when I complained. I vowed never to return, but now that they’re under new management, I think they’re my favorite laundromat in the neighborhood.

LOST AN ENTIRE BAG OF MY LAUNDRY.
Apparently this just vaporized into thin air, but according to ‘Grace’ the owner I picked it up and just forgot. Which is why I of course, still have the ticket and I don’t have my clothes and sheets.

They are refusing to pay upfront for replacement for my lost items.
DO NOT GO HERE.
Somewhere in the village a homeless guy is running around with my smalls on his head. Awesome.
