Amy is so friendly and careful and is very good at alterations IMO, too. She used to work professionally in Japan. I love talking with her and really appreciate her!

Amy’s the BEST! Her prices for drop off service and dry cleaning are very good. She’s also very friendly. Amy is great to talk with. I find myself lingering for an entire conversation whenever I’m here. In fact I had to stop going before work because talking with her always made me run late! I’m here to giver her a shout out for alterations though. I’m very picky about my clothing. I like it to fit a certain way. Amy is very knowledgeable about how clothes should be altered and what can and cannot be done with various items. Her alteration prices are around the norm for this area. Truly a great business!

Amy’s the greatest. Expert Tailoring! Over the years I’ve brought her very complicated jobs and she’s both artistic and skilled. And such a delightful character. So fun, she should have her own talk show or reality show. Sooo funny. Stop by and be sure to have a chat with her. East village legend

AMAZING! I get things dry cleaned, hemmed, custom altered you name it and it all comes out awesome and the prices are great. You can even get SAMEDAY service if you drop off before 10AM. The women there are so friendly and sweet and pickup/drop off takes less than 40 seconds. They truly do go the extra mile. One time after a long holiday weekend they called and put in a special request to their cleaners to make sure my items would be ready for my vacation the next day. And East Village gem!

Very sweet woman. Hemmed a gown for me very quickly, wasn’t cheap and was about the same as other places but she was able to do it in two days. It was a chiffon Ralph Lauren gown so not the easiest job and it turned out perfect.

Have lived around the corner from Amy’s for years and always thought she’d be too expensive cause she’s small. Turns out she has the best prices around. And she’s a master seamstress and her alterations are great. She’s now my dry cleaners of choice.

Something happened to Amy! She’s been kidnapped by some woman who claims to own the business and just keep saying«Amy doesn’t work here anymore». She’s mean! I miss Amy! Bring her back!!!

I am lucky to have Amy’s as my local neighborhood dry cleaners. They do a great job with all types of alterations and always have an excellent turnaround time for my dry cleaning. Thank you!

On August 24, 2011 I dropped of 4 suits at my local dry cleaners. The blazer portion of my suit was lost. I provided the dry cleaner with a letter from Saks 5th avenue where the suit was purchased as to the value of the suit. It was pruchaed for 1495.00. The suit is 2 years old and the dry cleaners has refused to refund me a reasonable offer. They offered me 200, my suit was 2 years old and in fair condition. Even though she is refusing to compensate my fairly, she is a sweetly lady, loose your clothing with a smile.

Amy’s so crazy. Crazy nice. Crazy… Yeah she’s extremely nice and that truly stands out when you’re a little baby laundromat in an ocean of launderers. She’s very considerate and weirdly locks her shop up in the middle of the day to take naps. DONOTKNOCKONTHEDOORANDWAKEHER. IT’S HERLUNCHHOUR. It’s so China— I remember my grandfather locking up his shop in the middle of the day to take a nap. She’ll always do a fantastic job and everything will be folded and packed into a pristine cube. She also has a fun trick for learning Chinese… ask her how. :-)

Amy is the cheerful woman behind the counter and also in «Amy’s Dry Cleaning.» She will have your clothes washed and folded, precious items dry cleaned all while practicing Mandarin with you and doling out relationship advice. I always look forward to dropping off my dirty laundry, but not necessarily airing it. I live conveniently close and have never had an issue with lost items or clothes not being returned on time. Minimum on a card is around $ 15 I think. Pay Amy a visit. You won’t regret it and you might even make a new friend!

I had high expectations for Amy’s tailoring abilities, and I was excited when she showed me how cheaply and easily she was going to take in my jeans at the waist. I know it’s no small task to take in a pair of jeans! In the end, however, she only added darts to the waist. There were two bulky masses of fabric in the back that were incredibly uncomfortable, and because she’d just eyeballed the measurements rather than pinning them, the jeans didn’t even fit properly! Fortunately she didn’t cut any of the fabric(which was also part of the problem), so I just unstitched the work she did. I’m sure cleaning is great, and maybe hemming and doing easier jobs is better, but don’t go here if you’re looking for some thought-out tailoring.

Amy’s Cleaners is the best in the neighborhood. My shirts come back looking like new every time. Best of all, Amy has remembered me ever since my first visit. She’s top-notch.

She is very friendly and professional but I had quite a few incidents re getting back my laundry — like finding items of clothing that didn’t belong to me, her pick up service losng my laundry bag(!) although she replaced it with a nicer one and the ultimate shock: someone’s checkbook! I mean wtf! I also wasn’t happy that more often than not, an early morning drop off didn’t mean I would get my laundry back by the time I was home from work. She would say sorry etc. but 10 hours to me is adequate time for turnaround. I felt a bit bad not going there after these mishaps as she is chatty and nice, but I wanted a more reliable service and above all, no lost and found items in my laundry bag.

after having some less than desirable drop-off experiences at other local establishments, i decided to try amy. can’t believe i had not come to her sooner — not only is amy closer to my apt, but she offers everything you could want in drop-off service. she is extremely friendly(can’t escape without a conversation), has fair prices, and can handle hemming and all that other good stuff. my only issue is that she closes at 7pm — but the pros completely outweigh this con.

Amy is such a pro. She is both an excellent tailor & astute business-person. She’s knocked out couture hemlines & jacket modifications in under 40min, rush job. Dry cleaning & tailor services, at Ave B &7th St.
