Contrary to what is said here I had a bad experience with this doctor. He did not look at me in the eye I was just another money payer. He prescribed cortisone shots for my condition, which I did not want to have because of a past bad experience. He got argumentative and condescendent. I was never treated so badly by a care giver, someone who was supposed to help me. It was his way or no way and as a doctor he had to explain more and give other options but he was not helpful at all. I’m staying away from people like him he is not interested in my health but only in the money he can get from my insurance.

Dr. Sergi is one of the most caring doctors I’ve ever experienced. He has also developed a novel minimally-invasive bunionectomy that is not only painless(yes, painless for me) but involves a much-shortened recovery period than your typical bunionectomy. After witnessing so many of my friends’ painful recoveries(and downright failures) of bunionectomies, I was afraid the reviews about Dr. Sergi might be too good to be true. But they are NOT. He is honest, a careful and structurally talented surgeon, and he takes the whole person into account. I consulted with two other physicians besides Dr. Sergi, and I am extremely happy with my choice. I don’t even have a scar!!! Don’t even think about using someone else!

I had a very painful bunion removed in July 2012. It’s still healing, very well, I might add. Dr. Sergi did a great job. He answered all my? s, relieved my fears and resolved various issues I had from a previous foot surgery done several years ago. I had a violent reaction to the anesthesia back then. Dr. Sergi determined what happened and it didn’t happen this time. I also had a reaction to Tylenol w/codeine. Dr. Sergi made sure I had different pain meds that were going to work, but not be too strong. Before surgery, I met the staff. They were pleasant, threw a few jokes around and before I knew it, I was in recovery. After surgery care was a breeze. No pain at all. I had the Biocryo cold compression system several days before surgery – it helps w/circulation and pain management. AND it was covered by my insurance! If you are considering the surgery, check out Park Avenue Podiatric Care for yourself. I have no complaints. I’m relieved I finally got the surgery done, after chickening out twice. :) Now on to physical therapy! Which, by the way, is on the same floor. A 1-Stop Shop!

Dr. Sergi is AWESOME. He’s one of the few Dr’s that actually genuinely care about patients’ and their well being. During my first appointment, he welcomed my many questions, giving me undivided attention, gave me his recommendations and eased my fears about having surgery again on my foot. I ended up having surgery and everything that we discussed came into play(he explained everything) and after he showed me the results just a few days after… I WASFLOORED… I was so impressed with his work of art. Another plus, they’re a one stop shop — Podiatrist, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic Care, Acupuncture — you name it, they have it:) Trust me you will be very happy to have Dr. Sergi as your Podiatrist!
