Grand Central Podiatry is located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The area brings in droves of people from all over New York City and out of state to offer a very diverse practice. The many people with their various foot ailments brings forth a wide range of cases to Dr. Ernest Levi.

Dr. Ernest fell in love with the area when he first came to New York and decided to open his practice in one of the most bustling places in the city. As a transplant from Chicago, New York City still remains one of most exciting places in the world to him. He is fortunate enough to be located by so many types of medical practitioners who specialized in almost everything.

I loved Dr. Levi and his staff! Came here for a second opinion after my previous podiatrist recommended a fairly pricey surgery for my foot/​toe problems. I really felt like Dr. Levi listened to my concerns and was able to tell just from looking what the root cause of the problem was (which did not require surgery).
His staff was also really responsive and friendly. They even remembered my name after the first visit. Wait time to see him was minimal and everything seemed well organized.

Dr Levi made a custom orthotic for me which is great! I no longer spend time thinking about foot pain, it just doesn’t cross my mind anymore. The office staff are pleasant and courteous, easy to get appointment, conveniently located, runs on time, professional and doesn’t rush through the visit, and the price is fair. I found Dr Levy through the strength of his Unilocal reviews and I’m so glad I did.

Dr. Levi has been more than my expectations! He identified me issue with my foot and fixed it very nicely. He always explains me with details and knows what he is ding for sure. He is very friendly and nice. I’d strongly recommend him for anybody. Lastly, two ladies are also awesome and friendly to talk! Great team!

Doctor Levi is a seasoned professional, is incredibly patient, and explains everything in as much detail as you want. I had never gone to a podiatrist before, and he was immediately able to diagnose what was on the bottom of my foot. He then proceeded to explain the treatment that he thought was best, based on his years of experience. I am glad I listened to him, after a few months the treatment worked and left barely any scar on the bottom of my foot. Additionally, the staff at his office are incredibly warm and friendly, and they are able to e-​mail you receipts — which is great if you participate in a FSA.

I was looking forward to seeing him based on the amazing reviews I read. I arrived in his NJ office because I wanted to inquire about a bunionectomy. He examined my foot within two minutes and said I needed one and he could do it. He also told me I could get x rays downstairs, but they were already closed. He said he could give make me something to help with the pain of my bunions. He literally took a piece of cotton and make a crappy «arch» that was useless. There was no follow up from him or his office, yet he wanted me to get a bunionectomy from him. I would not recommend him!

Dr. Levi knows what he’s doing for sure! I had a stress fracture which he treated over a period of 6 weeks. I give him credit because I had only 7 weeks to fix it since it was right before my wedding, and Dr. Levi took extra care to advise me of all the things I should be doing to help my foot heal. I went for therapy twice a week for which I was charged my co-​pay only once per week. Overall a good experience!

Ernest came highly recommended by my local City M.D. I was pretty apprehensive about going to any podiatrist because I knew he or she was mainly going to jerk out one of my toenails, but Ernest provided about as comfortable an experience as possible.
He’s a really nice, laid back guy who clearly knows his business. He’s got a great sense of humor and knows how to keep squeamish types like myself calm. He took his time, allowing me to be fully comfortable with my level of local anesthesia before going in.
Overall, a great experience with a doctor (which isn’t always the case). The staff were also cool and funny, the type of people you’d enjoy having a conversation with in any context. I don’t imagine I’ll ever go to a different podiatrist.

Dr Levi was very helpful and wrapped my feet to help with my arch and explained to me what he was using. We had an MRI scan of my Achilles’ tendon which showed it is inflamed. Luckily I can get my foot wrapped for physical therapy to resolve that. I recommend Dr Levi for arch and tendon issues.

I have never had such a fantastic experience with any doctor of any kind before. Dr. Levi is very kind, attentive, generous, and he got rid of my Plantar Warts which no other doctor was able to do! Also he set me up with some orthotics that fit in my shoes. His knowledge of everything foot related is unsurpassed. Also, the office staff are some of the nicest women you could hope to meet, and excellent at their jobs too!

I’ve been to four other podiatrists in dutchess county, with really no luck. But doc Levi is the only one that really listened to my foot pain
concerns and crafted the orthodox’s I’ve been looking for.
I have the flattest feet they all say, but these are helping me to get around without the pain and soreness I’ve always had.

I would like to thanks my fellow Unilocalers for helping me finding this place. It’s truly great. I was suffering from Plantar Fascists, the pain was unbearable. I got an appointment the same day I called. Didi and other staff members are always very kind, helpful and understanding. Dr. Levi really cares about his patients. He will explain and answer many questions as possible.
The Doctor tends to work with his patients. I was recommended to have shock therapy for my feet. The treatment was not covered by my insurance. Dr. Levi lowered the price for the treatment.

It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend Dr. Levi. I originally went in to address an emergency with my left foot. Within days, those symptoms were gone. But Dr. Levi really blew me away by fixing the underlying problem. He went to work on my pancake flat feet, customizing perfect shoe inserts, and applying therapy to the 25 years of pain I’d built up walking without adequate supports. Yesterday, I went running without having to stop after a quarter mile. I never thought I’d be able to say that.
I also want to mention that Dr. Levi is a very amiable person, and his staff – Dee Dee and Tabitha – are always helpful and pleasant. Levi’s bedside manner is like nothing I’ve experienced elsewhere. It is always a pleasure to go into his office.
Finally, as an educator with a state insurance plan, I can’t stress enough how amazed I am at the premium level of health care I have received. Dr. Levi is the real deal.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Levi.
I was traveling to New York City and had a terrible ingrown toenail and knew that I had to be on my feet for a trade show for several days. I could barely walk without excruciating pain! Thankfully, I found Dr. Levi on Unilocal, called and made an appointment. The receptionist was very nice and got me in right away.
Dr. Levi quickly diagnosed the problem, performed a procedure and I walked out of the office pain free and my foot felt sooooo much better. I had four more days on my feet at the show and was comfortable the whole time.
Dr. Levi is very knowledgeable, professional and did I mention he has a great sense of humor?! He’s very funny. He also treated my other foot that had been hurting from a neuroma for a year and he was able to see me for a followup treatment while I was in NYC and I cannot believe how much better both of my feet have felt. If I lived in NYC, I would see Dr. Levi for any foot problem. He’s the best!

Getting an appointment was easy and fast. He took his time to make sure the diagnosis was correct and the treatment has been easy and painless. Because of his treatment plan I was walking again normally in no time!

Dr Levi is plain and simple one of the sweetest and most personable MD’s I’ve ever encountered. He takes his time with patients and makes sure all your questions/​needs are answered by his consultations.
Upon arriving, you will be greeted with a smile from Dee-​Dee and the rest of his incredibly friendly staff. I came to him with a common problem that causes pain under the heel bone and in the arch of the foot and he immediately diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis by carefully listening to my symptoms and interacting with the affected area. He recommended Shockwave treatment, which is apparently one of the greatest inventions on this earth because by the 3rd treatment my pain was pretty non-​existent. I was also recommended to order orthodox to begin the process of permanently healing the injury. Dr Levi understood and worked with my budgeting issues, so rest assure that he will always recommend the most economical and custom-​fitted treatment for your bank account.
Overall I really recommend Dr. Levi for any of your orthopedic/​pain needs. You won’t ever leave his office disappointed and will get the treatment and time you deserve as a valued patient.
