I love this dog park, it’s a nice size and conveniently located right near the east river. There is a separate side for big dogs and small dogs.

Good dog park. No trees or shade so gets REALLY hot in the summer(go early in the morning or dusk) and VERY windy and freezing in winter. Not a fan of the gravel. Fantastic views.

Love this dog park! Fantastic views for us humans, and benches in the park to sit on. Water fountains for dogs and humans. They even bring out kiddie pools for the dogs to splash around in. The material on the ground in the park is really nice too. There are two parks, one for small dogs and one for big. After bringing your dog to the park you can walk along the esplanade and just enjoy the weather. Note: how to get here easily: There is a pedestrian bridge from the main roads to the esplanade on 63rd street and also on 60th.(the one on 60th looks like an unused offramp — note the barracades for cars and pedestrians walking on it and you have the right one)

Great place to bring your dog! It does get windy so a warm sweater would be good to bring. There’s sections for small and big dogs, its not really mandatory to put your dog in the right place .If your dog is not afraid of bigger dogs than its fine. The medium dogs can join either one.

Great place to bring your pup! Noticed that the size restrictions on the seperate yards are more of a suggestion and afte while of watching our pup stare at the toy chihuahua in the corner of the little dog park, we ended up heading to the big dog part, which more or less consisted of small-ish to large dogs. We’ll be back for sure.

One of the better dog runs in Manhattan with great views. Things it has going for it: — Decent size runs for Manhattan — Not a lot of wear and tear — Very clean the times I have been there — Seating for humans — Has a water spigot in each run — Area to hose off your dog — Has 2 separate runs(big and small dog runs) — Good fencing and gates — Views of East River and 59th St Bridge Things it has against it: — No bathrooms for humans nearby — Can get windy — Not much shade — Has poop bag dispensers but never see poop bags in them — Crushed granite litter material is better than dirt or wood chips, but if you have a wet long haired dog, that stuff if a pain to clean off your dog. This is by far one of the better dog runs in Manhattan that I have experienced so far mostly due to its renovation/construction and the people using it, for the most part follow the rules. If the ground cover was pea gravel or synthetic turf it would probably be a perfect 5 star run in my opinion. Dog runs/parks I have been to so far:
