Hello, my name is Dr. Kevin Cooney. I earned my Ph.D. at UCLA, and I have worked as an English professor at a number of universities, including Queens College.
I’m always looking for new challenges, so in 2012 I dusted off my graphing calculator and began tutoring the math and English sections of the SAT and ACT. Since then, I’ve tutored all kinds of exams (listed above) from the 5th grade ISEE to the business school GMAT. I enjoy working with students of all ages, and I try to encourage their intellectual curiosity and motivate their best work.
At Better Edge Tutoring, I am joined by some outstanding college teachers from Queens, Hunter, York, Stern, and other New York colleges. In addition to their many years of teaching expertise and genuine delight in working with students, our tutors have undergone rigorous training in the standardized tests.
