I was told the polish on my toes was dry enough to put my socks and shoes on only to have sock marks on each toe when I got home. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed but they felt dry to the touch so I wasn’t upset with the manicurist. However, my gel manicure lasted only 2 days when it should last nearly 2 weeks. I did feel a bit rushed while I was there but didn’t think much of it as I was in a bit of a time crunch myself. After reading the reviews it seems they make a lot of people feel rushed so obviously this is the norm here. I will definitely not waste my money in this place again!

Totally fine. Nothing special but nothing really to complain about either. Just went today so will have to see how long the manicure lasts.

My nails stay forever when I go here! The service is fast, efficient, and I’ve never had to wait even when it was busy. Very convenient to the ½/3 as well.

Despicable customer service! The only reason I visited this spa was because the girl does my brazilian moved from Affina spa on Church St to Ada spa. The people who run this place are the rudest I’ve ever met! The people greet me with a look as if they smelled something bad. I’ve visited them 4 times not just for Brazilian, but also for mani and pedi and I’ve experienced their rude behavior every time!

I completely agreed with the review Anna posted!!! I used to go to Ada a lot since I lived not far to that salon. I stopped going because I realized how dirty their tools are. I saw the manicurist there used unsanitized tools to work on other customers right after, that was disgusting!!! I don’t understand how customers would not get fungus!!! The place is not the same as it is used to be, the staff talks loud with Chinese to each other, which is annoying as well while you try to relax to get a manicure. The tools they use are dirty and the management is dysfunctional!!!

I LOVED coming to this salon and have recommended it to so many people in our nearby office. Their staff and owner are so lovely and this busy salon has a nice feel. HOWEVER, fungus, fungus, fungus! I have had nail infections twice from their manicures and now toe fungus on both feet. I thought the yellow was from leaving my nail polish on for too long, and I kept going back to them. My toes started to become sore and I went to the podiatrist, to find out it’s fungus. I feel it’s my duty to write this on here and hope this busy salon invests in more tools and cleans them properly. If you come here, I HIGHLY recommend bringing your own tools. It’s cheaper than paying for doctor visits and prescriptions!

the service is fine but prices are extremely frustrating($ 10 just to remove gel polish??? 5 is ridiculous, but 10??). both times i tried this place they messed up my payment and had to run the card twice and void once making me have to worry if i may have been charged double. there’s a hundred nail places in the area. no need to deal with these frustrations.

This place is very close to where I work. I came here before noon on a Friday(not too busy) to get a much needed pedicure and back massage. Quiet, calm environment. I paid about $ 60 for a simple pedicure and 30 min massage. JoJo is an incredible masseuse. While this is not my favorite place for a pedicure, I will definitely be coming back here to see JoJo for another 30 min massage – I’ll probably make it an hour next time.

Great, quiet place to get your nails done. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and didn’t have to wait. The staff was very friendly and the space was clean.

Meh. Will not be returning. The front desk girl with glasses not friendly, nail techs not friendly, and they talk shit about you in Chinese while doing their nails. Sloppy manicure job until you«pay before» and leave a tip then all of a sudden they are detailed. Won’t be back, there are plenty of places in NYC that are professional.

Always great mani and pedicure there, efficient and kind. What I love about this place is that it is not loud and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing even when it gets very crowded.

I’ve been going to Ada Spa for the last two years and I won’t go anywhere else! I’ll be moving to New Jersey shortly but will make a special trip just to get my gel manicures here! The staff is always welcoming, patient and kind. They have even kept the store open past the closing time just to fit a last-minute manicure in for me. Beyond their customer service, their actual service is phenomenal! I regularly get manis & pedis, gels and massages and don’t have a bad thing to say. They are very attentive and make sure to pay attention to the little details, going over cuticles more than once and making sure the polish is perfect. I’ve added a picture of my recent gel($ 31!) to show how beautiful their work is. Regarding the space, they recently renovated the salon and it looks great! Love the massage chairs, too. Helps after a long day at work. I have to do a shout out to my girl, Sunny, who is just terrific. Definitely recommend it!

In the spa at 9pm and was rushed out even though they close at 9.30. Brooms mops and cleaning supplies were pushed all around me while I was moved from chair to chair. I have never written a review and the way I was treated infuriated me so much I just had to write in hopes the owner/manager will read this. Do NOTGO! No stars!!!

If you like feeling rushed(although there aren’t lots of people waiting for service), workers snickering and laughing in their language(probably at you) and an owner/manager high pressuring you to leave a tip even if you aren’t happy with the service that you’ve just paid an exorbitant amount of money for, this is your place. The laundry list of reasons I was not satisfied and do not recommend anyone visit this place includes: * Not very friendly and inconsistent workers * my friend got her massage chair turned on for her and I had to ask for the same * my two friends and i wanted to sit together while getting our feet done but they didn’t want us to wait and instead separated us so they could rush through the job, * I had to request the jet get turned on and to soak my feet because the girl was in such a rush to do the job she didn’t do either * Had I not looked at my toes she would have let me walk out with toes that weren’t fully covered by the nail polish despite her applying two coats. Then when I asked her to fix it, she did but didn’t bother to put a clear topcoat over it after all of that to have an owner hovering over me to see if I would leave a tip and loudly repeating herself as though to try to shame me into it? Disgusting. Totally wouldn’t go back!

Ada is my neighborhood nail salon that I have been going to since it opened. They recently renovated the space, upgrading pedicure massage chairs and more, which further adds to the experience. They do an excellent Manicure/Pedicure for a great rate, I believe it is $ 30 including tax. Highly recommended!

I have been going to ada for years and generally have good experiences. In contrast, today I felt far from relaxed. Amanda rushed through my manicure and pedicure and she was not gentle at all. When I tipped her she asked for more and proceeded to gossip with her fellow staff. I informed the front desk and they basically gave me a blank stare. No apology. No explanation why my treatment was significantly shorter than normal. Not going back unfortunately.

I come here for a mani-pedi-massage and usually get Package A. For $ 50 it’s a great deal to get mani-pedi and 20 mins of a massage! It’s clean, quiet(except for the occasional ridiculously loud woman on her cell phone) and a good atmosphere. The only recommendation would be to make it a cell-phone free environment because that occasional lady yelling on her cell phone is so not relaxing.

Good effort. I just walked in here because after turning into a puppy mommy I had really let my nails go this past month. This is coming from someone who had perfectly manicured nails for four years straight. To get my existing shellac removed it was $ 5(other places are $ 10) and manis are $ 12. The end result was something. .. someone really good at home manicures would have produced. I did notice they were not skilled at shaping/filing the nail and that the Essie color I have gotten countless number of time at other salons was watered down. After two coats, I’d never seen this shade so thin. Not sure if the nail polish had been watered down for ease of application, because it had gotten old, or even worse, to save on nail polish. The mani felt somewhere in-between a polish change and a real manicure. However, they did not nick me or make me feel like I had patronized an unsanitary establishment and for that they get three stars. It just wasn’t a high quality final product, which I’ve come to expect from other places, but a will-do in the interim. I also did notice in the nail dry machines they will place a clean paper towel before you set your hands down there and dry your nails. No other places does that. And there was Purel and quick dry oil right by the dry machines. Sanitary and pragmatic. The space is adequate and the girls are all right.

I was in search of a nail salon in the Tribeca area, came across Ada Spa and decided to give it a whirl, and I’m glad I did. The manicure/pedicure stations are very nice and the pedicure chairs are plush and have a nice massage function(nicer than I’ve seen in other salons). The price for a mani/pedi is reasonable(a little over $ 30). I was pleased with my manicure and pedicure — the tools used are pre-packaged and they open them in front of you. They had great nail polish(Essie, which is my favorite) and a wide arrangement of colors. The staff is very friendly and they are able to get you out the door pretty quickly. I will definitely be back and will try the other services they provide.
