It’s a diner. That’s about all I can say about that. Read the previous reviews, did not see any of what was indicated previously. Will say that if it’s the same female hostess, she definitely has resting bitch face — lol but was nice enough when taking to her. Very large menu, very friendly staff, sat there for about two hours with a friend of mine chatting. Did not feel rushed at all. Gave us refills without asking, brought us the check after about an hour and a half, and even made a point to say, no rush just closing out my shift… no problem Nothing overly positive to share, nothing overly negative to share. It’s a diner. That’s all I have to say about that!

We eat breakfast here often on weekends. Food is always good, service has been great with exception of one visit. The cheese danish is great toasted and shared with someone.

The New Windsor Coach is a product of Satan himself and was created to give humans the worst possible dining experience ever. If you’re into getting dirty looks by nazis, I mean waitresses then this is your place. The food is god awful and makes you wonder if you’re taste buds even function. To top it off, the check makes you want to immediately dive bomb out the nearest window and crush your skull on impact. In conclusion I recommend this place only if you plan to dine and dash, if not then feel free to never step foot inside it.

Just go somewhere else. The décor is dated and the food is lousy, the service is sub par, etc. all reasons to avoid this place. They have their regulars and if you are not one of them you will be treated as such. They are not even trying anymore. They could try to separate themselves by serving a few signature dishes or anything but they just come with the same menu from 1963.

Really gone downhill. Was there recently, food was non edible and service was far from welcoming. Used to be a regular, not planning on ever returning.

Bad food. Bad service. So many better diner choices around. Skip it. Waitresses take your order but then ignore you even when it’s slow. Food is poor quality and bland. Even the burger.

This place is one of my favorite spots. My wife and I love it here. It’s the perfect place to go when you don’t know what you want, it’s clean, staff is friendly, prices are good an the food is even better, and there’s no leaving on an empty stomach! Burgers are good, the wraps are good, paninis, salads, and so on. They’re breakfast is also phenomenal. Definitely worth going to.

Food is ok but the service is terrible. Whoever seats you, whether it’s the little man or older woman they are both rude and could care less that you’re there. I live 5 minutes away from this diner but I feel so unwelcome when I go here so I take the 15 minute drive to the Alexis diner in Newburgh. Much better service and food.

This is the worse diner I have ever been to. If you are a person that loves good service do not go here because they do not know the meaning of good The food came and I was happy because I was enjoying it. Into the middle of my lunch the waitress brings me my check. I was really annoyed at this because now I feel like I am being rushed to leave. She noticed the look of annoyance on my face and even asked if everything was alright, I just nodded. I heard her ask the guy in front of me if he needed a refill, I looked at my soon empty cup of soda and wondered when she would ask me if I needed a refill. So I drained my cup very loudly so she can hear and placed the cup on the end of the table and watched her to see what she will do. She comes over and does the unthinkable, asks me if I would like a to go box. I was not in there 30 mins yet. So I called her over and asked her why she gave me my check and I just got started, she said«I do that to everyone», I told her, furthermore you asked that gentleman there if he will like a refill but not me, ur rushing me out, she said«he’s one of my regulars». Really? So just because she never saw me before I do not deserve good service. She then asks me why I am being nasty and rude… ME…I told her she was coming across very prejudice, the lady scoffed and then asked me if I knew who her husband was(after she asked me what I wanted and I said water).told her I really don’t care who her husband was. The woman went to the front of the diner speaking very loudly alerting the whole diner now I am put on the spot and embarassed. She comes back and gets in my face and tells me «I am the owner». I said Ms I really do not care who you are, you do not give people a check in the middle of their food, you wait for them to ask for it.

This place has very nice décor and is very comfortable. Unfortunately, I was not impressed by the shrimp scampi and the chicken francese. They were virtually the same dish with only shrimp added. The green beans were pretty good though. And the house salad had very fresh broccoli.

We’ve been going to the coach for over twenty years. Now the prices seemed to go up and service down. I complained to the little guy at the register probably the owner about the price of kids orange 2.95? His response was«we’ll prices went up, oh well guess your gonna have to take it or leave it.» Your right little dude, I’m done with the coach. Next diner please.

Horrible service most of the time unless you get lucky and get one of their good waitresses. The owner at the counter is a grump so glad when he isn’t there although I haven’t been back since the cannoli we ordered was harder than a hammer then the replacement dessert was stale and old too. Plus the fact that they close early at 11pm and are very unfriendly if you decide to enter any time after 10pm because they are in a rush to close up on time. After going to this place every other day for years I found that a bit rude. I take my business to another diner now. Made the mistake a week back of going with a group of friends and the waitress disappeared after bringing out our food and never came back to refill our drinks or ask if anyone wanted anything else. Yep. Last time for me. Check your silverware too unless you like to eat with dirty utensils.

The Reuben was good and the wait staff was attentive without hovering. Lunch took an hour so not a place if you are rushed for time.

I recently stopped in for lunch and remembered why i stopped going here soon after it changed over from the old Vails Gate Diner. A week after eating at a very well known diner in midtown Manhattan, I went to the New Windsor Coach and got the same order(cheeseburger and fries). The price at the New Windsor Coach was almost double what I paid in midtown Manhattan. The service was great and the waitresses were friendly, but the ridiculous prices ruin it. The guy at the register is downright miserable and can be rude at times. He acts as if he could care less about the customers and seems almost annoyed that you’re there. But the helpfulness and concern of the waitresses makes up for that. Regardless, I don’t go here often because their prices are way too high for basic meals.

«Sorry your waiter didn’t come back. He went home sick». Definitely one of the last things you want to hear at a diner.

This is my go to spot when I want to take my father out to eat. The waitresses let me customize orders and they are super friendly. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys diner food and fresh coffee.

I live local and this is my go-to diner, best all around food, service and prices. Solid spinach and chicken salad, breakfast seems to be pretty solid, been 5 – 10 times in last couple years and always decent. Also 24 hours i believe, ive made the 4−5am trip here after the waterfront several times, and never dissapoints !

Wow how do you screw up fries? Service decent, brutish. These women need definite finishing school!!! A typical diner, atmosphere depressing, needs color, paint and art. Everything was horrible except for the veggie wrap which was amazing crisp, fresh, perfect! I can tell their trying, but look tired. Two questions why are all diners cold, and have lack luster desserts? That is all… btw how do you mess up fries, I forgot!(overdone)

I’ve been wanting to hit this spot for a while but never put in the effort until a relative decided we should meet their for dinner, figured what the hell since I still had yet to Unilocal the place. The place seems nice in size from outside but it’s actually pretty small on the inside. I’m a burger dude all the way so most times I visit a diner I’m getting a burger. Burgers here are inexpensive but they also taste inexpensive, although it wasn’t completely bad it didn’t blow me away. My wife had a chicken sandwich which she enjoyed. Service is decent though the waitress did forget to bring the coffee I ordered she did comp the coffee to make up so that was a good rebound for the error. The place isn’t all that bad. I think it’s a good cheap option when I want a quick yet cheap dining experience where I could enjoy waiter service. Food was decent and service was decent, I would visit again for a cheap eat. We had seven people in our group(two kids) and tab totaled $ 69(not bad).
