Worst pizza ever. We ordered extra sauce and cheese and just got extra grease. Do yourself a favor and call Domino’s!

First let me start by saying I am from New York where fantastic pizza is common and I eat a LOT of pizza. The owners were wonderful, the place is very nice, the ingredients were fresh and the pie itself was very good. Now for the bad news. My favorite part of the pizza is the crust, it can make or break how I feel about the pizza and unfortunately I found it tasted more like a pretzel dough than an Italian bread dough. I can’t remember ever leaving the crust on my plate, but I did not care for the taste of it. Fortunately everyone has their own idea of what makes a great pizza and so it may be a great pizza for others, but when you come to New York just ask me where to get pizza and I promise you it will beat out anything in Florida. I’m not just a visitor, I lived in Florida and when people asked me why I moved home I told them it was because i couldn’t get a decent pizza or real buffalo chicken wings. And yes, I’m aware that the owners are former New Yorkers.

Best white slice I have ever tasted. Was in town from NYC and craving pizza and I can tell you that I felt as if I was eating true New York pizza! Delicious! The place was so clean from corner to corner and the staff was super friendly also:)

Too. Much. Oregano. We ordered a plain cheese pizza and there was fresh oregano sprinkled all over it and it totally over powered the pizza! Oregano is cooked IN the sauce not sprinkled nakedly on top! This tells me this place does not understand pizza. I just don’t get the 5 star ratings. Awful pizza. Oh, and the crust was chewy. Not good.

We decided to tried another local pizza joint — this one located on beachside, just a few miles from our house it was one of the few local pizza shops we haven’t tried before. I find it’s always best to eat pizza at the restaurant verse having it delivered or even take out, pizza is funny that way it’s always best fresh out of the oven or after sitting overnight in the refrigerator, but not so much after waiting for delivery or even the short trip home from takeout it’s weird but it’s just not the same.
Knowing this is not a big restaurant we were happy to find a table for two once we arrived. The process is pretty simple grab a menu at the counter either take a few minutes at your table or stand at the counter and figure it out then step up to the counter, order, pay, then find a seat they will bring it out piping hot. Being this was our first visit we decided to try the garlic knots to start and add the mozzarella the pizza of choice was pepperoni — ham — meatball and jalapeño.
First impressions are everything:
Restaurant Appearance — Super Clean, very well organized, nice décor and nice layout, pretty much everything you would hope a restaurant to be. Nice ambiance, very relaxed feel.
Staff — Very professional, polite, friendly and attentive.
Pricing — This is not discount pizza, and their competitors aren’t the national franchised brands so you shouldn’t expect that kind of pricing and they definitely won’t serve you that kind of quality. Always remember «quality and quantity rarely comes in the same package» knowing that this pizza is priced right.
Ingredients — To some it may not matter but I love it when a restaurant owner is proud of the ingredients and the quality of the ingredients — the pizza dough is made fresh in house daily — the cheese is «Grande Cheese» I happen to know Grande Cheese Co and they are one of the top producer of high quality Italian Cheese Blends in the country, this alone separates Planet Pizza from most of their competitors.
Pizza — A pizza can only be as good as the ingredients used to create it. This is pretty awesome pizza, hands down the best local pizza I’ve had and ranks at the top along side any I’ve had including those craft pizzas baked in a wood fired brick oven. The crust is definitely a big part of what makes this a winner, perfectly thin, crispy with a little chewiness, the sauce is outstanding not only was it perfectly portioned it was not over powering, for lack of a better description it had no negative distinguishing characteristics, no bitterness, acidity, and definitely wasn’t bland. It’s impossible to build a great pizza without great crust and sauce, pile on great toppings and cover it with a superior cheese blend and all thats left is a high quality pizza oven and a talented pizza chef and this place has both so prepare to be amazed.
Garlic Knots — Light, crispy exterior, soft interior lots of finely chopped garlic and quality oil we chose the melted mozzarella blend on top, good luck on finding any better in the area.
Beer and Cola-​Cola products are served — no fresh brewed ice tea if anything is missing it’s the tea but I am not complaining just stating it. There’s no doubt we’ll be back.

I usually order local with pizza and decided to do the same while visiting NSB. Good sized pizza, quality cheese and fast delivery! Taste was good, not great. Bianca pizza was a good bet but was missing the garlic taste I expect. Pepperoni pizza was quite bland. Wish I had tried the Buffalo or BBQ chicken pizzas — may have had more flavor…

Took the entire family to Planet Pizza. We found it on Unilocal and decided to try it. The pizza was awesome. We started off with chicken tenders and garlic knots. The garlic knots were one of the best I’ve ever had. Chicken tenders were homemade. We had their Planet special pizza and it was cooked to perfection and delicious. They have an old pacman game in the restaurant and they owner gave all the kids quarters to play it. He was very nice and accommodating. It’s a family run business.

Some of the best pizza I have ever had period. The chef was in well we were, and was very friendly as was the rest of staff. I will definitely return next time I am in NSB

Something has changed. We are in NSB on and off during the year. We just arrived for summer and we have ordered twice this week. The pizza crust taste like cardboard. We have always had a good experience here but the last two times have not been good.

This place is pricey but you get what you paid for here! Best pizza in NSB area! Loved the white pizza! Nice thin foldable crust. Great cheese selection.

Local pizza place, uses fresh ingredients. Really good NY style pizza. The 20 inch pizza is huge and worth the price. Lots of cheese and veggies. The pizza was not overly greasy like some NY style pizza places. Tucked away in a small strip mall, but don’t miss it when you are in Nan.

Great pizza and great wings. Really small seating area but everyone was friendly and helpful! Would definitely go back!

More-​than-​decent pizza located in an obscure strip joint, but the location is convenient to most amenities in NSB.
I called in my order, and it took a bit longer than the 20 minutes they told me it would be, but it wasn’t all that long a wait.
The pizza is pretty standard NYC style, but that’s saying a lot for around these parts. They have another location in downtown Orlando, which is apparently popular. My pizza was piping hot, and pretty good. Price is slightly above average, but so is the pizza! I will definitely be back.

Not happy! Evidently someone ordered pizza with my card! Even though I live alone! I never received anything from this place! I called asking about the transaction! I was received with a hostile woman screaming at me, that the driver was left outside! I never received a phone call and never made an order! Didn’t even know they delivered! Heading to bank in the morning! Y’all be careful, these people aren’t out to make pizza! They’re out to take any money they can get! And will talk to you like you’re garbage! Will never stop in again! And I will tell everyone I know how I was treated!

Delicious pizza that u can order by the slice with your choice of toppings! Or get a whole pizza! Very fresh and tasty! They also have outstanding calamari! This is their second location as their first has been in Orlando for 27 years. Staff were outstanding– I highly recommend!

Great pizza. I think this is a chain but we’ve only been to the one in nsb. We usually get the white or buffalo chicken. Definitely the best pizza choice close by to where we stay.

Love the white pizza and the fact that its a local business that is willing to deliver and not a chain :) Will gladly use them from now on!

Planet Pizza now has a new location in New Smyrna Beach???

My favorite late night downtown Orlando Pizza place, now has a beach side location at my favorite Florida beach.
I was at New Smyrna Beach staying for a few days when I saw the familiar sign and stopped in to check it out!
Frank, Marco and the family (who are NSB LOCALS) are even here!
So we have the same great pizza, same great garlic knots, and also a pretty nice restaurant that also serves Beer!
Couple other things they deliver to most of NSB from their location on A1A /​E 3^rd Ave all the way down S. Atlantic Ave to all the Condo’s, New Condo’s and Hotels.
They also serve the LARGEST PIZZA in NSB a 20 inch pie!
Pizza By The Slice, and build your custom slice with just about 17 toppings or more,
I have always been a fan of the Plain Cheese, my opinion is that any pizza place that can take just dough sauce and cheese and make a pretty decent tasting Plain Cheese Pizza always gets a vote from me! The White Pizza with Sausage and Mushrooms, and also the White Pizza with Spinach and Tomato are my other Planet Pizza favorites.
Not only pizza sold here. Appetizers that include jalapeño poppers, chicken fingers, cheese sticks etc., plus Calzones, Gyro’s, Hot Subs.
So let me get this straight! Pizza and Beer near the beach… Um yeah I am fan…

Amazing place. loved the interior. favorite pizza hands down is meat lovers. don’t forget to get the garlic knots with their red sauce. cozy but close to the beach.
