History
Established in 2012.
Suis Generis is a project that started as a dream twenty years ago as Ernest Foundas was working as a chef in New Orleans, Boston & Philadelphia and Adrienne Bell was working and managing restaurants in Philadelphia and New York. Renovations were complete and the restaurant was ready to open when hurricane Katrina hit. Luckily, the building was spared damage from the storm — only to burn several weeks later! Pushing through the setback, Ernest & Adrienne re-built the building and finally opened the doors of Suis Generis in early 2012. A long process, but definitely worth the wait! We love our neighborhood and work tirelessly to create a constantly changing menu of fabulous food at reasonable prices. We hope to see you soon!
