Some of the best Indian I’ve had. Naan was soft and fluffy. Chicken Tikka Masala was tener and full of rich flavor. Definitely coming back!

So many Indian restaurants in this area so the food must all be the same right? Wrong! We have tried almost every restaurant in the area and I don’t know why we waited so long to try Jassi’s but I wish we’d had their food sooner. Sooooo tasty! We ordered the butter chicken but in the chicken tikka masala sauce — MUCH better than any I’ve ever had anywhere else and I’m Indian! Saag paneer was good, chicken biryani was really good and the lollipop chicken was ok — we ordered delivery so it wasn’t as crispy and crunchy as it probably would’ve been had we eaten in — still flavorful nonetheless. The sauce it came with had a nice kick. All the food was mild so my kids could eat it too — I made sure to request that. The delivery was much quicker than they said — maybe 25 – 30 minutes — they said 45 – 60 and today is the day after snowmaggedon so that was a huge plus. My son has a nut allergy and they accommodated my request that all our food be nut free. REALLY better than the rest. They even gave us free gulab jamun for dessert. Thanks for the amazing dinner in this messy weather.

I’ve never had Indian food before, so I wasn’t sure what to get. I figured I’d surprise myself and see what the chicken jalfrezi tasted like since it didn’t sound too spicy and it was quite delicious. The chicken pieces were pretty big and very tender. It smelled really spicy at first, but thankfully it wasn’t. It reminded me of a mix between halal cart food and mild curry. The owner was very nice to allow me to place an order for delivery despite my workplace being out of the area.

Service was a bit slow when I went but this was by far one of the best lunch buffets since I moved to NY, and trust me I have tried most of the buffets in the area and Jackson Heights and Jassis was the best one so far. Plus they had two desserts!

On a Sunday afternoon, I came here around 1p… everything on their buffet menu was delicious! The place looks beautiful, staff is friendly. Being Indian, I do eat a lot of Indian food & truth is… this is by far my top 3! Price is reasonable! Go here, you won’t be disappointed

It’s a pretty chill reataurant. Balvinder is very helpful. We were looking to book them for a party, but they don’t have a separate catering hall, they just close down the restaurant for the party. Also, their food is okay but the chef overdid it on the salt and the spice.

The food we ordered was very good and tasty. Our order consists of Vegetable Samosa and Aloo Tikki for the Appetizers. The Vegetable Samosa was good but the Aloo Tikki was missing something and tasted bland. Our main course meal was very good. We had the house specialty chicken masala and the butter chicken as well as the chicken jalfrezi All came with rice. Their chicken dishes were small in portion for each being $ 15.99 and extra rice had to be requested since they only brought out one dish of rice for the three of us. The Décor was very modern and comfortable and very clean.

So good! I admittedly am a newbie when it comes to Indian food. However, my friends eat it pretty regularly and gave this place great reviews so this is where we choose for our lunch date. I’m so glad they did! It is absolutely beautiful inside and the service was great. The food was delicious! And I was really impressed with how inexpensive it was($ 13) for a meal of that quality. I took off one star because I wasn’t really wowed with the drink menu, but that’s the only area they are lacking in. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

This restaurant got my credit card number somehow fraudulently and charged me $ 156. I called the restaurant and spoke to the owner who said that she didn’t have the paperwork with her at that moment but didn’t know how this happened. She promised to call me back the next day. She did not call back. I called 3 more times and I never received a phone call back nor an explanation. I had to cancel my American Express Card and dispute the amount.

We had our son’s first birthday party in Jassis! We were so impressed by the food. From the appetizers to main course, everything was delicious. Their chicken tandoor kebab and chicken makhni is the best! The place is very clean and pretty, its great for any occasion. I highly recommend this place. The party went with out a hitch and they were very accommodating. A special shout out to Balvinder and her team you guys rock.

Easily the best Indian food on Long Island(which is surprisingly lacking in good Indian food…) Try the tandoori chicken wings — spicy, tender and heavenly. The channa masala and malai kofta are also very good. Atmosphere is a bit over the top. It’s like you’re at a baby shower at Akbar all the time. Lots of decorations, preset for a wedding with a sweetheart table at the head of the room. But the food is great.

I love the selection during their lunch buffet. Food is hot, fresh and seasoned nicely. The waiters are friendly and attentive. The décor is also very appealing. If there was better parking I’d give them 5 stars.

This place is really nice inside and I thought it would be great. But my experience here wasn’t so great. Our waiter only grunted, it was his only form of communication. Before we knew it, some man walks in with a laptop and I kid you not, starts watching videos of Hitler. Everybody in the restaurant was just giving him looks because he had the volume all the way up high and while we’re eating, we have to hear hitler screaming to his army. It just got too much and the staff wasn’t doing ANYTHING about it so I complained and they tried to tell me that he is «strange» and he comes there a lot. So??? I don’t care, get him out of there! Anyway, the food here was horrible. I got the goat palak. My first bite was an old dried out piece of goat. Amazing. Like beef jerky. Then the majority of it was bones and fat! I have NEVER had a dish like that with the bones still in it. Also the meal came out within 7 minutes. That probably accounted for the old reheated meal and the lack of proper preparation. Also it was covered in oil. So disgusting. We also got the chicken tikka which was dry and tasteless and the lamb roganjosh that was again, a plate of scraps, bones and fat. For dessert I tried order 3 different things because they said they didn’t have any of them! I ended up getting the kulfi, which they again weren’t even sure they had and I got this disgusting old, hard, gritty chunks of ice cream. I finally sent this back and they took it off the check after having to explain that I knew what kulfi was supposed to taste like when the waiter decided to question me. As if I don’t know what I’m ordering. The manager came out to apologize, which was nice. Was looking forward to washing my mouth out with the caroway seeds they have when you walk out, but I spit them out right away. They had been sitting there for what seemed like weeks.

Though I’m still loyal to Santoor, which is my regular Indian food spot on Union Turnpike, sometimes I’m in the mood to go to Jassi, although admittedly more upscale and expensive than Santoor, the food is delicious and the service is great. The place itself is snazzy, with a cool looking jewel chandelier and chic wallpaper and the Chicken Tikka Masala was cooked to perfection, and they actually paid attention when I told them about the spice level, when I say mild, I mean MILD. It was also the first place where I tried garlic naan, and it was delicious. Bonus points for an amazing mango lassi.

A solid find for decent Indian food. They deliver which is great(albeit a little on the slow side), but the masala and tandoori is great. The garlic naan is decent and the buffet(if you decide to stay in) is a good value.

AVOIDAVOIDAVOIDATALLCOST! Came here again last night to give this place one last try and Boy was I right about this place. We came here with a family of 7 and the place was dead literally we were the only people at this restaurant. We were seated promptly and had ordered everything at once! We got the chicken lollipop and the vegetarian pakoras. So after 15 mins we get the pakoras then I had to ask for the chicken lollipop after which it took another 15mins. Then we had to ask again for the main dish??? And water like what the fcukkk I mean we were the only people there? Anyways we got the food we ordered Paneer tikka masala: average at best Chicken vindaloo: horrible 1/10, probably the worse curry I’ve had ever at any indian restaurant! Malai kofta: pretty good, would get this again Onion kulcha: stale and old look like the ones from yesterday had this nasty smell! Daal: was okay as well! My god this place is terrible and that’s an understatement I will never come again and hope this place closes down! So stupid

Waste of money. Chicken biryani was so mushy I never had such biryani ever, dnt knw how can they serve biryani like this & even the taste was not at all good. Paneer dish as per the ingredients in menu card wqs supposed to be coated with nuts & raisins not even one of these we could see in the dish & paneer was not even cooked well. The rice what they serve with the dish seemed bit better than what we ordered. So overall not a good restaurant, will never go back you have better options in town.

I have ordered from Jassis countless times. The food is usually delivered by the owner which is nice. As for the food, the chicken tikka masala is top notch, as are the saag paneer(spinach w cheese) and garlic naan. We also love the vegetable pakoras to start. Overall, we love Jassis and are glad that a great Indian place like this exists!
