The crowd are always just standing around. No one is dancing, so it’s definitely a lounge and will put you to sleep zzzzzzzz! The hookah is not strong, the service is flighty, not consistent. Also, my friend got a boot on her car going to this snore fest. I don’t plan on being back. A positive is that it is spacious!

I absolutely love the WKND! This was my first time there on a Friday night. It gives you a grown and sexy feel. We ordered Wings and a Purple Passion Hookah. The food was great and the service was excellent. I definitely will be going there again. They also have a really great DJ that plays new and old school music. They offer a happy hour, karaōke night, and game night. I can’t wait to experience that in the future.

Still rebuilding staff and the overall vibe of the newly renovated joint, but still a great place to hang on a Friday evening. Kenisha served us at the bar and was friendly, attentive, and an all-around good bartender. Haven’t experienced any of their new daily specials(karaōke, game night, brunch), but we were assured by Executive Chef Will that the spring menu will be on point, casual fine dining at casual prices. We’re in!

Nice atmosphere and the servers are nice. Haven’t tried the food but the drinks are on point. I like coming here on Friday to avoid the commute down interstate 24.

Love the new look! It’s not as loud inside anymore, so we can do more socializing. That’s always nice.

Limited places for a 20– something to mingle. What happened to all of the good lounges & clubs? I prefer not to honky tonk. Been there, done that. WKND is one of the few options that Nashville has to offer. I like to stop by every now & then .Esp after work on Friday. They have a great happy hour ! It’s always a great place to meet a group of friends or alone. I always seem to run into someone I know ! The con is the service is lax. I’ve ran into many problems with the bill. Communication with the servers. Patience. Patience. :)

This is an update. Been here twice since within the past 4 weeks and well… the experience was DEFINITELY not up to par. Was here June 29th and I came alone. I sat a table with a couple of friends who were already there. I stopped a server and ordered a drink, waited SEVERAL minutes, never got a drink. One of my friends stopped her again and asked about my drink and she replied, «I got it coming». NEVERGOTIT! He had to go the the bar to get my drink. Friday, July 3rd, had to be the worst it’s ever been! Me and 3 other colleagues,(one was visiting from out of state on business) came here around 6:30 or 7 ish. This bar was not my first choice but I came anyway. There wasn’t anywhere to sit so we inquired about sitting on the platform or stage(whatever you call it) A server, who’s attitude was rather dry and unpleasant, informed us that it was $ 50 an hour to sit there. One thing I did notice was the poor condition of the furniture; table was nasty and the leather seats were falling apart at the bottom. But the charge is $ 50 an hour to sit here? NOPE! We went to the very back of the building in a smaller bar area. This was my first time going back there. It was very dim, poor lighting and we sat there for about 10 minutes. Two servers practically walked by us without any acknowledgment. And why have a bar in the back with no alcohol stock and no bartender? One server spent majority of her time chatting with 4 women who was sitting on the opposite side of where we were sitting. They had most of her attention the duration we were back there. One of our male colleagues stopped this server and asked if we could place a drink order. She replied, «Give me just one second». That one second turned into approximately 12 minutes before she actually returned to the area and she still did not get our drink order. We managed to stop another server who GLADLY took our order and was very prompt. She wasted no time taking care of us. I don’t remember her name but she was light-skinned, real pretty, curly hair that came past her shoulders. She checked on us frequently during our time there, was very professional and pleasant. The first server, still, never acknowledged us or even extended an apology for the wait. Our mood had changed and once we finished our drinks we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Went to Acme on Broadway and got much better service. At this point, I’m not sure I’ll return. The servers can stand some re-training, and this is coming from a business professional.

I like this place. To be honest, I was a little salty after my go-to hang out spot Jazz and Jokes closed(they have the same owners), but after giving this place a try I really like it. They have similar specials to jazz and jokes such as .50 cent wings and karaōke on Thursday nights. Happy hour is pretty awesome. I think it’s $ 2-$ 5 specials from 5 – 9. The earlier you get there, the better the deal. They have a cool«house party» theme on Saturday nights as well. The crowd is urban young adult, so it’s very chill and relaxed. You can dance and smoke hookah if you’d like, but the hookah is way over priced. Drinks are good and strong. Service is decent, of course if it’s super busy it’ll be a little slow. Oh! They also serve lunch throughout the week as of early August.

So I have very mixed feelings about this place. I came here for a carry out order of burger and chicken tenders and they delivered it an hour after the fact. I do greatly appreciate how the owner comped me. Apparently, the kitchen staff isn’t on their A game. The service was friendly, attentive, and very apologetic. Oh and the food was exceptionally good for bar food.

Visited Nashville this past weekend and have heard so much about this place so my cousin decided to get some friends together and hit this spot up! I would say overall it’s cool I mean the customer service could definitely be better. Thy have specials that include the hookah, drinks, and food so if you get a big enough group together splitting the bill will be the most coast effective route. I think in total it was around $ 250/$ 260 sum odd dollars. The food was just okay nothing special, wings are wings. If they fixed how the bouncers outside treat people I might consider coming back and giving them an additional star. But for now they can keep the generous 3 that I’ve decided to rate them! Also on a side note get here early because the parking can be a nightmare and then some.

I really enjoyed myself here and the biggest surprise was that the Lemon Pepper chicken wings were so good! We got the $ 250 special so we could sit in a booth and it was worth it. Hookah, liquor, mixers, wings, and seating garaunteed for 2 hours(they let us stay there for 3). Divided by six people, overall it was a great deal.

I don’t recommend going here for a birthday celebration or a good relaxing time. I reserved the full stage for my birthday celebration. I made this reservation 4 weeks ago. I arrived and was told that both stages were booked so they gave me two booths. I would not have wasted $ 150 if I had known that they would overbook the area I requested. I was also given a bill for bringing in my birthday cake which I was told would be waived when I booked. The manager rectified that issue. In addition, a friend of mine informed me that they did not have the space her party requested for a bachelorette party. So, be cautious because you may not get what you ask for.

Ok. I would really like to give a good rating for this place, but we ordered a bottle moscato and it has been over 30 minutes and we still don’t have it. We have to better.

The WKND is a grown and sexy lounge spot located downtown. Wifey and I checked it out on a Saturday around 7 – 730 for some prelim drinks before we headed to Sambucca for dinner and I must say I really like this place! We tried the wings and they were really good, I topped it off with a crown & coke(that had 95% crown the rest coke! LAWD!!) a little too strong but hey I’m not into wasting money so bottoms up! There is parking around the corner and on the side streets but I preferred valet which was only $ 5 so why the heck not?! WKND contains outside seating, bar tables with chairs and some cushioned round seating for bigger parties. There is also an additional room that has a separate bar with TVs and seating that looked kinda cozy, i really wish we could have stayed longer to see what the actual night life is like but there will be other times i promise that! ALL in ALL I will be back to check it out!

I’m really trying to love this place. I am really trying. I have gone twice– once on a friday after work(when they first opened), and then most recently for Sunday Brunch. The first time I went, the waitress took what felt like 1,000 years to come and take my order– then once we got our food and drinks– she dissapeared for long periods of time. I got smart and ordered 2 drinks at once because I knew that I would not see her again. I gave the Wknd a pass because i’m sure opening a new establishment is hard work-and it takes time to get your staff up to Par. Round 2-several months later– I go for sunday brunch. This time was even worse. My food was decent-and my order was correct. 2 of the ladies that I was brunching with were not so lucky-everything was all wrong– one girl ended up sending her food back and cancelling all together. I asked for a glass of water to go with my Mimosa. I didn’t get it. Each time my waitress came to our table(which was rare) — I asked– after I got my check– I asked– after i paid my money– I asked. I never did get my water(I was there for about 2 hours!), but I did get the luxury of paying the automatic gratuity that they add to the checks!

First, a disclaimer: I’ve heard that WKND has a totally different vibe on the, uh, weekend than it does during the week. You can tell that the owners are really trying to keep certain riff-raff at bay since they actually have their descriptive dress code plastered all over their front doors and website. My fiancé and I first heard about this place on the news — apparently having 1,000,000 pennies on the floor and bar places you in the timeslot before the weather report — but WKND has become my favorite neighborhood bar for weeknight happy hour drinking. The place has a very chill-out feel to it; big, comfy couches are just begging to be lounged on while you drink pitchers of Long Island Iced Tea. You read that right. WKND offeres a variety of delicious drinks in pitcher form. We also couldn’t resist pitchers of margaritas and sangria. They range in the $ 25-$ 35 price range, but they are actually worth it. The drinks are the main reason I love WKND. Their Manhattans are top-notch, and you’ll want to keep them coming. In back, they have a really neat hookah lounge and a separate bar. The hookahs are $ 25, which is way too expensive. Makes me miss the old days at Aladdin’s.

Beautiful place! I went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. I stayed through the set of old school the DJ played and loved having space to sing and dance(with my friends). The bartenders were swamped and I only saw one waitress weaving through the crowd. I had the cran-daddy, virgin mixed fruit drink, which was tangy-sweet. I also had to sample the hand-cut fries. I’m not convinced; they were no match for M’s fries. Anyway, people were friendly enough though like most places, mingling seemed to be minimal. It’s best to go with friends, unless you’ll be at the bar, but perhaps that’s a no-brainer for those of you who hang out more than I do.

My fiancé and I were sitting around in silence last night, each working away at our respective laptops when he casually suggested«happy hour?» Without hesitation, I slammed my computer shut and said«Happy hour!» With an affinity for trying new places, we made our way down to Church Street to see the million pennies in WKND’s décor. Unfortunately, as we sat at the bar, we noticed some mean-head had pried a penny out of the counter… so make that one million, minus one. Jerk. Otherwise, flawless! The copper tone of the counters and floors were so unique and made me wonder how I could duplicate this in my own home. But really, the fun here is between 4−7pm(Wed-Sat) where they have daily HH specials on food and beverages.(I recommend the Wednesday special of ½ off Skinny Cajun Penne Pasta and the $ 3 Appletinis.) And if you’re as ambitious as we are, you’ll indulge in a pitcher — yes, pitcher — of booze with your choices of Mimosas, Rum Punch, Margaritas, Mojitos… and our two recommendations of the evening: Sangria & Long Island Iced Tea. Those puppies run $ 26-$ 37/each, but worth it? Um, yes. I’ll also say, that as a female, I really appreciated the hooks under the bar. No bar floor grime on the bottom of my purse… hooray! Outside of the bar area, WKND is a huge open space with tons of plush seating. It’s exactly what you think a lounge should look like. Swank, swank, swank. Off to the side, there’s another room designated for hookahs complete with a second bar(only open on the weekends). And if we can talk hookah for a second, I’ll just go ahead and recommend the Blue Magic(tastes like blue raspberry + heaven). The downside is the hookahs run steepish at $ 25/each. Also, it appears they’re still working out the kinks with their hookah hookup. We arrived at 6pm and were told the hookah lounge would open in an hour. Later, we found out the«hookah guy» was supposed to be there at 4pm. Not that we were upset, but Brian(the GM) was so nice about it anyway, making sure to comp our pipe when another hookah competitor was chomping at the bit to save the day. On the way out, my fiancé announced we’d found our new neighborhood bar. Looking forward to a pitcher of mimosas next time, I’m definitely okay with that.
