Description

Specialties

Canvas focuses on making the customer feel special! The ambiance is second to none. With all the funky colors and décor along with the great music, it’s hard not to relax and inhale all the good vibes swirling around. There are seasonal drinks, such as the Watermelon fizz in the summer (made with real watermelon) and the homemade Hot Buttered Rum in the winter. As always we fresh squeeze orange and grapefruit juice daily. There are also happy hour and nightly specials. The experience (& drinks) are always fresh, fun and funky that will leave you with a smile on your face!

History

Established in 2010.

This venture is a lifelong dream of owner, Darek Tanner. After many years of building experience and acquiring many interesting items, such as the cathedral lights (from the chuch he attended as a child) and an old phone booth (from the hospital he was born in) just to name a few, this concept was ready to be put into action. The result is a lounge that is truly a work of art in itself. The décor is in a perpetual state of change, since Canvas is actually Darek’s blank canvas to get as wierd and creative as possible. Just as cool as it is — it’s also fun and quirky with so much to see!

Meet the Business Owner

Darek T.

Business Owner

Darek has worked in the service industry since he was able to drive. From being a snow cone man in his home town to an ice cream man in Seattle, waiting tables at cracker barrel to pitching cards in a casino in Lake Tahoe, then to the most previous job — bartending at infamous Tin Roof for 9 years, there isn’t much he hasn’t done. One of the main reasons Canvas was established was the sincere love of hosting. «I’ve always loved to throw a great party at my house, so Canvas is just an extension of that need to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable and just to have fun!»
