Rita’s Italian Ice

I love Rita’s. The concept and the delicious Gelati. We don’t have one in Colorado, where I live. There is a stand at the Pepsi Center, sometimes open. So I am always so happy to find it and have it when I travel. I’ve come to this store before as my parents live here, and it is slow. Always. The workers appear overwhelmed. This time I came and the main girl at the register was obviously flushed with the inability to handle the line of four people. Another worker was in the back and finally came out to help. She skipped over me completely, and I figured the main cashier would help me as I was next in line. Nope, she walked out of the store to help a customer that had been waiting since I entered — but not in the line.
Again, I love Rita’s. I am one of the few people keeping the stand open at the Pepsi Center and I believe Rita’s will flourish as it has on the east coast, I just wonder about the management’s hiring process at this store when two employees can’t handle four people in line.

I love ritas!!! The chocolate ice is my favorite and the fudge brownie is so good! I get reeses pieces to put in the chocolate ice and it’s a great combination. You can even order a kids size if you don’t want too much. Just tried the chocolate strawberry and it was really good. I love the variety. I’ve had gelatos and they are a great combination and the blendini is really good as well. Can’t go wrong with a desert from here. You must stop by and try it for yourself!

I mean, how can you go wrong? There’s not much else to say. All Rita’s locations are pretty standard – high standard, that is. Yum!

OMG! Amazing! Italian ice and ice cream, what can be better after a long day on the beach? Cherry ice and vanilla soft serve is terrific! Coffee ice cream with chocolate Italian ice is also great, according to my friends. Be sure to stop at Mulligans pub before or after for a complete meal!

I don’t really get the reviews slamming the high schoolers for being surly:
A) that’s part of the appeal! High schoolers giving you free samples but also singing Taylor Swift lyrics to each other, ya know? (key point here: FREE SAMPLES, LOTZ)
And also: B) I’ve had nothing but decent (generally seamless) service here.
Finally: C) we’ve all had high school /​college jobs like these, so just toss a few coins in the «college fund» tips box, k?
The Rita’s combos baffle my Dad; he just goes for the standard custard, which eats like a soft-​serve and comes in either a standard or waffle cone, or cup.
I like the gelati, in particular the Florida orange ice. CREAMSICLE ALERT when paired with vanilla custard. Plus, it’s made with *actual FL oranges* *I found some rind, so it’s legit*. The gelati is basically a layering of custard, ice, swirl of custard atop. It’s refreshing and delish.
