History

Established in 1978.

Russell Martin owner, Dave Martin learned the carpet cleaning trade first-​hand while working at Russell’s Dry Cleaners in downtown Naperville. Dave worked cleaning rugs and pressing pants at Russell’s while attending North Central College. During this time Dave learned about fabrics, textiles, and how to service them. In addition, Dave learned from Russell what they didn’t teach in school– the fine art of customer service. Over the last 30+ years Dave and his family managed to grow Russell Martin Carpets from one service team to six working all over Chicago’s western suburbs.

In 1984 Dave added carpet and rug sales to the business. Russell Martin is currently one of the top rated carpet dealers in the United States, specializing in exotic patterns and fibers from around the world. Today Russell Martin’s focus is on top quality products and service provided by a well trained staff.

Russell Martin owner, Dave Martin, learned the carpet cleaning business first-​hand from Russell’s Cleaners in downtown Naperville while attending North Central College. Here Dave learned about different fabrics, materials and stains. In addition, Dave learned from Russell what they didn’t teach in school: the fine art of customer service.

In 1978 Dave bought the carpet cleaning side of the business from Russell and in 1984, added carpet sales to the business after clients continued to ask where they should buy new carpet.

Today Russell Martin is well know for the sales and service of high quality carpeting and rugs… And really nice people!
